is this a good budget speaker amp for 2 80W speakers
can someone help my mtrack suddenly stopped outputting any audio
was playin roblox and suddenly i dont get anymore audio output out of it
i tried my cases front io that works
so the issue is with the mtrack solo
ok i dont get it
i managed to fix it but its weird it didnt get fixed the first try
i replugged the mtrack when i did it first try nothing happened
but after replugging it for the 2nd time it worked??? im confused asf
no idea but i'll get a new one soon since this is quite short
too bad it uses stone age usb
Is there a software that 7900xt can yse that will help reduce background noise
could i make this speaker wire
anyone know what line 1/2 (m track solo & duo) means when im selecting an audio source for mic input
Why don't you just buy speaker wire
yeah ik
im new to this
i got a pair of speakers and need the wire
ive found a amp
…
i just bought the cable and the amp, should arrive within like 5 days
Yall im making my set up 5.1 if its called like that or whatever yk when Sound come From behind, i already have 4 speaker but idk how much i would need and what should i take (for cheap please) (the 4 speaker are dual speaker)
Ping me so I get a notification please
either raycons or 2nd gen airpods
Ok
And how do i even plug all speaker in my pc?
do you have an interface?
Whats that
an audio interface like an m track solo or a focusrite scarlett
thats what the speakers plug into and it only takes one usb port on your pc
what is the diff between hyperx quadcast and hyperx quadcast S
Thinking of buying the pc37x there £150 would be nice to have the 38s but cost like over £200 and will take a week to come any good headphones I am happy to spend up to £250.my headset at moment is Logitech g433 but cables broke they got my head perfect.
Oh yes
is this a joke?
no?
about the worst audio products in existence currently made
please don't recommend anything without research
??
may not know this, but loud doesn't equal good
volume down?
raycon has some of the most unbalanced sound possible
its honestly sad how bad it is
idk i didnt seem to notice
beats isn't even comparable
50000
to be honest while conpin is being very autistic about it raycons are realistically very bad unless they recently released a new product
shouldn't really use autistic, but..
raycons: sound is so f'ed that they might as well be broken, like some teenager's dream car
I won't allow them to be recommended for as long as I live
do you expect a brand that made the almost 30db bass boost tws to make anything remotely good tho?
even beats has one or two alright products
despite the whole
you know
being beats
post aquisition they improved yes
^^
but they had to get bought out to change...
calm down its been 4 minutes
Galaxy buds. you can find a lot of them for under $100 or close to it
yeah if they did i doubt its good either
Dont get those raycons
They are not good
Jeez
Can we get a message in the description of this channel saying dont give recommendations unless you know what you are talking about
Anyone know if you can buy usb sound cards with stereo line in? There are hundreds on on Amazon with mono mic input but I need a proper line in for PS5 audio.
why?
I want to listen to my pc and ps5 audio through the same headset
ah
get an audio interface with "sidetone"
my b its called direct monitoring on interfaces
audient evo 4 is the most recommended tho youll need 3.5 to 6.25 adapter
Guys, you should talk about XB50AP & XB950BT & XB950AP more
They are peak Hi-Fi headphones.
Whats à good one ?
ive been recommending the one that ltt uses, the audient evo 4
Alr guys
I have a speaker system that I want to make happen (5.1)
I already have an amplifier more than capable of handling the speakers I have chosen
I need someone to confirm im not crazy, I've got my dac/amp combo at the back of my desk, and if I hold my phone above my table no buzzing, if I put the phone on the table like 30cm away from the dac/amp it buzzes. Why is it more noticeable when its on my desk?
Idk
All I need to figure out is where to put the speakers
This is a drawing of a Birds Eye view of my room
Desk is In the top right corner
Bed is the square in top left
Bottom middle is a dresser
Bottom right pink thing is the door and it’s opening radius
The red square near the door is where I think I will put my subwoofer
Blue rectangles are where I think I will put my speakers
Top middle blue thing is the center speaker under my monitor (curved black thing on desk)
Here’s the issue
Idk where to put my bottom left speaker
I also don’t know about the top right speaker, bc the yellow thing is my pc and it rises above head level
Purple thing is chair
I also do not know how I would get the bottom left speaker into its position on the map ( wall mounting maybe?)
That’s all and sorry for writing a whole essay
I think that I can figure out the top right and bottom right speaker, but I am the most unsure about the bottom left
The scaling of the pic is wrong, there is like three feet between it and my dresser, so, yknow
Also, I was putting arrows and question marks next to speakers, if that wasn’t clear by the blue scribbles
you need a modern AV receiver if you want to use surround on a pc using passive speakers
it would be a lot easier to run stereo and a subwoofer instead if this is for a desktop setup
hey, can someone try something for me? ive been a little paranoid for a while because i had some weird noises in my previous headset that i returned, they are gone now in the headset but I can hear it if i play a low frequency sound and change the volume at the same time
does this mean something is wrong my audio in the pc?
its a brand new pc
Sinusoidal wave going trough entire human audio spectrum, starting at 20Hz and ending at 20kHz. Note that the frequency increases exponentially, the idea was to increase the frequency by constant fraction of currently played frequency rather than by a constant value (which would result in clearly noticeable fast change at lower frequencies and n...
like if i play this and change my volume up and down i get this weird noise in my headset
Integra DTR-30.1 7.2 Channel 90 Watts AV Receiver Speaker Amplifier (this is the amp I got)
does anyone else have this?
Integra DTR-30.1 7.2 Channel 90 Watts AV Receiver Speaker Amplifier
Is it like a staticy crunch sound?
more of a digital beep i guess
but ive had a simular issue on my older pc, except 100 times worse, were there was a crunch sound yes
I'm trying to understand what you to do cause the sound?
But if I jump to different times in that video, yeah it does make a pop/crunch sound, always has on everything I've tested
Something with youtube's audio processing
okay so, ill try to make atleast a little bit of sense, because this is an issue that is so incredibly frustrating and unexplainable to me. On my old pc which was like 8 years old i had tried like 5 different headphones on, like 4 pairs sounded completely broken and there was these backround noises in them, its impossible that all of those headsets happened to be broken. and the same exact issue with all of them, except a pair of kraken v2 pro with the same USB connection as the other headsets worked perfectly. since then ive gotten a brand new pc, got a new pair of razer hypersense which are simular to the kraken and there was this weird random backround noise that was always there. I returned them and got my current ones, razer blackshark v2, other than this weird sound i told you about now I just think they sound really lame, sharp annoying treble that i dislike the sound of, while everyone else seem to love the sound in them.
I contacted the company who built the PC and they have no idea either
usb
have you tried the auxiliary output for the same problem?
did rn, actually isnt there anymore except a little bit of that crunch you talked about when i change the volume in the youtube volume
when you change the in youtube volume? That shouldn't happen
I was talking about time skipping
yeah
have you downloaded the proper audio drivers
should i try reinstalling them? like could that be a legit thing?
Have you tried installing them in the first place
well they should be installed, I bought the pc as a prebuilt from a company thats pretty well known and reputable here
yes im 100% sure
That doesn't mean anything
Try installing the proper drivers for everything
At most it'll take 30 minutes
Do you think its a software thing?
I know theyre installed, why would i need to reinstall it?
Up
Yellowtec M!ka arms and Heil PRSM-B shock mounts.
@glad creek
Also this is the weird flexible piece in the middle https://quad.life/products-builder/p/flexible-mounting-arm-with-articulating-end
But similar products can be had on amazon or other sites for a much more reasonable price.
electrical interference
for passive speakers, do they have both a power cable and 2 signal cables?
The signal cables are the power cables
this is the circuit board for my arctis 7x and the cable connecting the left and right side got cut, anyone know what its called or how i can find it?
or at least what kind of cable it is
proprietary, just solder it back on
or jank and put a wire in between it
the extra capacitance won't matter
used an external amp/dac dongle thingy (fiio ka2) for the first time and goddamn i did not know what my headphones could sound like
bad thing is anything higher than 2 clicks up is deafaning
Louder headphones sound better
I use mine to keep my teapot warm
lmfao
this is what half volume used to sound like
but 99 neos dont exactly need an amp
shit looks so jank
if that's 4.4mm balanced to 2.5mm balanced then it is fine
if that's 4.4mm balanced to 3.5mm unbalanced then you have a chance of frying your amp
dongle on dongle on dongle on dongle
Heyo, I need reccomendations for good headphones! wired preferably and it does not need a microphone built in.
I have airpods for wireless and they work perfectly for me, so these would be what I use in the comfort of my home and my setup
Ill have these plugged into my hyperx quadcast not any amps or anything of that sort.
Hey all, I have a dual coax cable run to next to my TV, where I plan to put a sub. Is this something I can use to power the sub, or do I need to run a sub cable?
budget?
you can use it to potentially give an audio signal to the subwoofer depending on the subwoofer but you cannot "power" the subwoofer with it
subwoofers that have coax inputs need an additional power source
i second klaus, we need to know your budget and what country you're from
your last tax return information too
but for general recommendations
closed back: akg k371
open back: sennheiser hd560s
the latter
wait its 4.4mm to 3.5mm unbalanced?
bro you are going to break your stuff
soishould return it and get the ka 1 instead?
Ehh, max ill go is like 200usd tbh
200usd max and am in the special adminstrative region of hong kong
ill just amazon the headpgones probabnly
darn it, fine
||gotcha didnt I? hehehe funny little trick. also, BOO!||
i think that should be sufficient
i got back like a solid 3 dollar i think
all of the above
they go to work around pm tbh
very very rare due to confusion with 4 pole for mic
yeah it's very cursed
Do ikea has good speaker?
I wouldn't think so?
And anyone got a good interface to plug in many speaker idk? I wanna go 5.1
itll be a few hundred dollars unless you buy something used locally
correct
Ye nvm ill just buy New speaker
unless you get a shitty vintage av receiver then it will cost you around two hundred at least
And play on projector From dad whit 5.1
Sound like i6t
just run two speakers and a subwoofer
Whats that
whats what
the speaker that makes the boom boom noises
that's what the " .1 " in "5.1" is
5 speakers and one subwoofer
Is it usefull
No we just recommend it gor shits n gigs
Very strange question: I was gifted a PS2 with two Rock Band USB microphones and they actually sound great on my PC, and would like to use them to supplement my Blue Snowball. I was wondering if anyone has ever jerry-rigged a desktop mic stand?
you wont improve mic quality
most voip platforms don't support stereo
the only thing you can use it is for youtube and twitch
even then I do not believe it will be an improvement
I should have been more clear: I want to use it as a secondary mic at my workbench away from my desk because the cable is long. The audio quality is roughly on par with the snowball after tweaking. I just need a way to hold it in place.
ah
Got it for free so why not use it?
Guess I could find some sort of other tripod and mount it with a rubber band. Crude, but should work for what I want it for.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exeRki77OMY when i play this video, if i change the volume while its playing it makes these weird noises that shound be there, and for some reason if i put the audio controll in the youtube video it makes this very clear buzzing noise regardless of what the volume on my pc is
Sonic Electronix always strives to be the premiere online shopping destination for car electronics and other consumer electronics. Our slogan is "The X-Factor When Shopping for Electronics" and it is our goal to be just that. We're here to help you find solutio...
why is this
can you send like a video example on your end
this good for a 3.5mm cable?
tryna get a decent braided 3.5mm to mini xlr so i dont chew on the cable
I doubt the recording would catch it but i can try
So… so YOU don’t chew on the cable?!
i chewed one of the cables up so bad that i only got audio to only one side of the headphones
Gotta do what you gotta do when you're out of crayons
Hey I've been having this weird audio error the last couple weeks. Not sure what change could have caused it, some install or windows update maybe? I have a scarlette 2i2 and it'll occasionally buzz for a second (maybe every 5 minutes?). Just now it got worse and had a delayed buzzing of the audio, but that part stopped after unplugging and replugging. Anyone have any ideas?
was expecting a difference from usb-c dongle from apple vs directly to jack on my hd560s
but didnt changed much or nothing at all
on pc
not surprised, unless something is wrong with your motherboard it shouldn't matter too much
either that or you don't have very good listening skills
not even volume
which is unlikely to be the case
same volume used
maybe can be skills
cant go back to my hyperx alphas
u fucked me
xD
lol
tbh most entry level dacs sound the same
it isn't likely a result of hearing skills
i will save the dongle for other stuff if i feel the sound too low/missing something
sure
but now i listen the difference, is like 144hz vs 60hz u dont feel unless u go back after 1 week
if you want to absolutely make sure there is no difference, listen to a track you know super well and listen to different aspects of your headphones
for example, on one listen I'd focus on soundstage
on another id listen to how long sounds linger before disappearing into background
etc etc
will test more, i tried in some song ive heard 100x times, but will try to focus more on different things
but honestly for an apple dongle vs mobo its very unlikely to have a difference easily noticeable
alright, thanks
np
the dongle is mostly to ensure that you have a clean signal if your motherboard is bad
the hd560s are extremely easy to power so it probably won’t have an audible difference if your motherboard dac is clean
i dont have a cheap mb soo yeh, have a strix b550
Use nice headphones for weeks/months
Then go back to your old ones
Audio was never a breakneck “holy shit” moment for me
It ended up being a slow burn, and when I went back I could very clearly tell the difference
He did hear a difference
Honestly the hardest part was every interaction I’d had with “audio people”
He just says not between his mobo and apple dong
L
.
There are mobos that are better than apple dongs
No one said there wasn’t
i think i’ve seen motherboards with saber dacs
they’re usually really overpriced boards though
I will kill michael if this comment gets 10 likes
your lofi source chain would kill my ears
You should send an email and ask them
You won't get either of those things anywhere in the Linus tech tips discord
you guys wouldn't be able to dream of the tinnitus i fucking have rn
this shit is at like 400hz its mad
real ear damage moment
depends, DJs generally don't really do jackshit but good djs are actually really good at mixing tracks and emphasize what those particular tracks are good at
they might even mix two entirely different songs together and make it a good song
but generally speaking most djs are meme material
lol
yeah that is the meme type of dj i am referring to
generally if a dj is really into actually being a dj and is willing to learn and put effort into what he does, he will actually drastically improve his skill to a highly noticeable point
but this really cannot be said for most djs as they are dudes who spin bass knobs and randomly scratch disks
Saw a "DJ" once that kept turning knobs and sliders while clearly not knowing wtf they are doing
Yea lol
Its like people who put real time and energy into perfecting their craft are hard to come by or something smh
honestly i don't think being a good dj is that difficult
I wish there were more
i just dont think that people who want to become djs are competent for some evolutionary reason
you could definitely
You could do that, because people already do
its mostly about the hype being a streamer anyways, not about talent
People are there for the showy stuff
given you don't actually need to entertain your audience with talent, unlike djs
i remember that one guy, he was like cooking omelettes behind a dj's counter while songs were automatically played through loudspeakers in a concert of thousands of people
just to show how talentless you can be to be a dj
Easy and no trouble cash, say ur DJ xyz and just run some popular songs, jobs like that will attract people with no talent/passion
There is this weird issue that I'm getting with my wired earbuds where if I'm watching a video and the video goes silent for a bit, it's almost as if the earbuds switch off, and when audio starts up it fades back into the audio quickly, anyone know how to fix this?
It's a pair of cheapo Sony earbuds connected to my pixel 6a via a converter
What is the difference in hearing between closed and open back headphones
Ive heard that closed back you can hear more bass
It's like cooking, you need to listen to a lot of music and play with mixing different tracks together and playing with tempo to get a good "palette" as it were
Some people are naturally better than others
Like if someone took two random songs and mixed something people could unironically enjoy consistently
you're already good
having good relatively pitch and musical theory is also very helpful
technical skills (playing instruments) can also come in handy when adding your own flairs
Generally yeah more bass but they sound less open and natural. I don't know anyone that prefers closed back to open back.
so if it was
So if it was
that's only due to resonances in from being a closed back
I would go K371 if your environment is at all noisy
its at home
not really noisy but,
just normal living environments
and my question is
are they good?
k371? yea they're good
like are the prices not inflated based on company name
not as detailed as hd560s tho
wdym detailed
the prices arguably fell due to the company name lmao
oh lmao
so some headphones reveal more details in a track that other headphones may not, hard to explain more than that
ok i udnerstand its fine
might go seinheiser than because
ive heard nice things about it
and honestly ill go close back
i like the isolation
hd560s or any ones that are better?
varies but anytime i sit down i will always wear it
open backs usually don't get anywhere near as toasty on the ears
And K361/371 especially, get rather warm after an hour of use or so
and for some people be sweaty
that isnt really a concern
i have cloed ones now and theyre fine
i dont get "warm" really
What do you have now?
they're both good choices
if you want isolation or more bass go k371
if you want best detail go hd560s
the difference in bass wouldnt be that big right
uhm
hd560s will be a little more controlled but a whole lot less of it
if you want that deep bass rumble k371 are better
damn this is a hard decision
Just get the 560s
give your ears time to adjust to the bass too
it'll sound nonexistant at first if you're used to V curves
no idea what v curves are
boosted treble and bass
its fine ill just research a bit
about
open vs close and pick
but thanks nexgen🙏🙏
the most popular sound profile nowadays due to it emphasizing bass and rap vocals
leaning a bit towards the k371 simply because i have closed ones now
and i dont wanna go seiheiser because illl use these for a while and dont wanna end up disliking open ended
you almost certainly will prefer open back headphones
like i said. out of just about everyone in the audiophile community, everyone that habitually agrees with eachother, 99% of people agree that open backs are better
when the environment allows, open backs are usually more comfortable and sound "cleaner" if that makes sense
but if you don't have a choice then why even ponder it
Started this hobby thinking that I wouldnt be able to stand open backs lmao, now where am I
I hate closed backs
IEM>>>>>
Open backs actually so good
well our boy goosy literally said he's not in that kind of environment
question: i have steelseries arctics 3 right now but the audio cable is on left side of my headset while my pc is on my right and the cable is kind of short for my liking, should i just buy a 3.5mm extension cable or should i get a new headset? i would rather not spend a lot of money on a new headset (budget around $60 tops) and i really like the comfort of the arctis 3 and the quality is not bad at all, anyone have any suggestions or anything that could help me out here?
if your only problem is the cable, then you should replace the cable.
this is my amp on lowest volume lmao
question:im using a ur 12 with some old ashton speakers they only have one rmc cable ?so I connected them to my audio interface and plugged everything in but my speakers don't work
when i plug in my headset sound comes out of my headphones i don't know what to do
ahhh np i got it
Good morning everyone, I am looking for a tube DAC/AMP, which ones do you recommend? I like the xDuoo TA-22 a lot but it uses tubes in the pre-amp stage and I don't like it that much.

ehh that isn't true
if by bass you mean midbass then sure
but generally speaking open backs absolutely have better extension
you wouldn't be able to find closed backs with better bass extension that aren't wireless and overdampened to hell
you’re elbow deep in a pot of snake oil
less cope more frequency response
closed backs don't have any inherent gains to bass performance
turning headphones into echo chambers does not benefit its bass
elbow deep
learn how headphones work
bass extension isn’t a subjectively analyzed property it’s measurable
being closed back has absolutely no benefit to bass volume
you don't use inverse phase to emphasize bass
that is how you destroy it
i have a masters in sound science
i am global elite in sound science
When I think about closed backs I think about usually bloated bass
its generally a side effect of drivers needing a lot more dampening than open backs
tfw people say danclark/mrspeaker is/was overdampened to hell
for an open back maybe
i want to try the massive open back audeze planar iems
generally apart from wireless consumer staff
closed backs have less bass
and/or less linear bass
that’s just not true
even k371 has more bass falloff than open backs close to its price point
and I want TWS that fit in my ears
neither is likely to happen right?
almost every open back headphone has roll off and almost every closed back is linear or elevated
like?
k371 literally has more subbass than harman
I mean, most closed backs are also "consumer grade"
it’s over neutral even after the roll off
that doesn't make sense
by that logic we should give everything 10dB boosts at 100hz to make it sound good
it's copium logic
when did i say it sounds good
it's bass fall off is very much present
it’s just elevated over neutral at all points in the audible frequency response
that doesn't matter
it still falls off from the rest of the bass
its more of an extension of a stupid bass bump than of the rest of the frequency response anyways
well, any other headphones?
that aren't bluetooth with dsp
even e-mu teaks known for their bass at 500$ have bass falloff
no more than that of hd560s too
that has +5db at 40-60hz my guy and it’s still linear at 20hz
mate
it has falloff
it falls off the bass shelf
if you add a bass shelf to unfuck bass extension
that's not preventing bass fall off
if you want that sort of approach recommend everyone dt990s
wow look at this bass
that is totally not an extension of the stupid bass hump
funnily enough
i don’t speak to oil salesmen
none of the headphones you mentioned are as linear 20hz as the dt990s are
there is no relation between being closed back and bass extension
wake up
you don't add more bass to headphones by echoing inverse phase around
inverse phase cancels regular phase
wake up klaus you think expensive dacs that measure poorly are high fidelity
Mixing a coloured amp/source and a coloured headphone sounds tricky
perhaps
the focus of the headphone market these days is neutral sound mostly anyways
hifiman, sennheiser when they are not fucking up
even beyer tries hanging around harman
I mean, sennheiser's ANC Headsets have become better at least
have they?
early momentums were a dumpster fire
current is fairly neutral honestly
with some issues
which are you talking about
still does have quite some bass boost, but its not as bad
I’ve never heard any Sennheisers I’d want to keep (the meme ones you know about were a Christmas gift when I was 16 many moons ago, so it’s just nostalgia now)
hd560s and hd800s you would want to keep generally
or hd6xx, hd600, hd650s
but I don't like the hd6** series
I mean, about all sennheisers are either bad, or only really have 1 or 2 gimmicks that make them worth it in some cases
(midrange for 6x0 and wide soundstage for 800)
Annoyingly, a bad cold resulted in slight tinnitus a couple years ago and this year, that slight tinnitus is becoming a constant roar in my left ear - so generally my music consumption is wayyyyyy down comparatively 😦
that sounds like more of a beyer moment but id believe senn made such messed up headphones too
(like still boosted above harman starting at 80-90hz)
usable at least, not a momentum 2 with its 5 billion holes
... is still typing...
Hey, I've tried reading around a bit but I don't understand if and when I need a DAC.
I'm looking to get a decent+ audio setup for my desktop pc. I've been using a free headset given with a piano I bought a while back (Eagletone originale first) and I plug it (jack connector) in a blue yeti (I know now that blue yeti aren't the best value but I didn't know at the time I bought them). Since it's a jack connector, I thought it was already analog going to the headphone, so the Blue Yeti must already have a DAC, or if I plug the headset directly in my computer, it will use the computer's DAC, right ? So what's the point of having an external DAC ? Is it "just" for a better convertion ? Then how do I know if the DAC in the Blue Yeti is good enough ? Or is the external DAC good for higher impedance headsets ? All of the above ?
And otherwise, I'll switch the freebies headset for something better, what would you advise as DAC+headset (if I need the DAC) for 250€ (max 350 if it really is worth it)
Yeah sorry I'm on my phone, it takes a while to type and think x)
guys, a friend of mine is asking "good headphones under 50$", i have none coming to mind
anything better than some gaming ones? (usually are on discount)
cloud 2 goes on sale for around that much
apart from that i only know in ears to buy
I only ask this because whenever I look online about advice for a better audio setup, the first answer is an external DAC, and I don't understand why
Don't worry about why, or about having a DAC ?
don't worry about having a dac
unless something is functioning particularly badly dacs are difficult to upgrade your system with
Okay, then if anyone got a recommandation for 250€ headset I'll be thankful :^>
It's for home so I don't mind openbacks (and I've heard it's better), and I have like 0 experience so I don't know what characteristics I should be looking for :(
The only thing I know I like is big earcups
do you need a mic
No I don't think so
Okay thanks I'll check them out <3
Sennheiser hd 650
Better to get an iem at that price point
the only headphone under 50 I can think of is KPH30i
KSC75 is technically still an earphone
doesn't have a headband
entirely ear
rest are all in ears
Thanks
avoid he400se unless youre comfortable using eq
or willing to learn
but if you are then it's great
The cheapest I find of this one new is 400$, my absolute max would be 300$ I think. My first choice was the hd600 but even used it floors at 370 :/
I think I'll go for the hd560s like klaus advised. It seems to be same style and it's relatively cheap compared to the others you've cited
i like the hd560s better than hd600
140 on amazon for the hd560s, so yeah I think I'll go with them
Nice! Thanks
I mean bass.
And rolling off does not mean nothing beyond that matters
The bump will mask other frequencies when music is playing. But the driver is still capable of reproducing those frequencies.
it be like that
600 and 650 often go for sale at around 275
Although for 140 560s is great
Nice, I'll buy it tonight whilst the promo lasts
i would gladly pay $100 more for a high quality metal build hd560s
And have it be 100 grams heavier and smush your neck
Unless of course you used magnesium and then it would be $1000 more expensive.
hd560s sound with beyerdynamic build quality
You better hope not.
beyer build quality meh they’re just hard and stiff
someone: just like m-

bro you chug olive oil your insides have shut down
sennheiser hd600
it has a bit less bass stock though
also got less treble
nah, I don't chug olive oil
I mix it with something else
and consume about a liter every 7-12 days
mids and treble are pretty similar
that may not be healthy
mostly good fats
so meh
its fine
only real source of fats in my diet anyway
he’s severely underweight and it’s a last chance weight gain tactic
not a lifelong diet plan
thats not true
which part
you do
because it is most calorie dense
you want to have a balance between a set amount of calories, protein dense foods, and yes, fats
your body really does not care what you eat so long as you manage your calorie intake and have enough micro nutrients
its not bulking in the way bodybuilding is anyway
its to keep my bodyfat above heart failure levels while being unable to consume a lot
I highly reccomend a clean bulk and not a dirty bulk, as dirty bulk end up severely damaging your body
hi
it’s not a bulk brodie it’s him trying to stay alive lmao
he’s like 6’7 130lb or something
w
6'4 155lb currently
used to be about 6'6 125lb before spine collapsed from muscles rotting away
eep
severe muscle atrophy
anyway, too far off topic ig
Discords a hellva drug
I think we can all agree that Klaus is smoking something and he's wrong about everything
lets talking about how raycon and delta air buds are best audio products
i have this £280 speaker system but my mother wont let me crank up my amp to even like 5%
this is the quietest it goes
realest statement ever made
mrmrmrrbeast
he's doing olive oil
vaping olive oil
yes
that sounds even less healthy than vaping already
meh, technically on paper olive oil is better health wise than orange juice
its just not healthy for most people because easy calorie surplus resulting in easy obesity
tho orange juice is basically just grabbing an orange
throwing away all vitamins
and drinking concentrated sugar
I prefer blood orange
As long as you don't overwhelm your gall bladder it's all good
olive oil on paper is basically just high unsaturated fats
low saturated fats and dense in antioxidants, but...
you don’t have to pitch olive oil to us
klaus tries to sell me enough oil although his is the snake variety
want to drink the "smoothie" I made a while back?
just try it
take a shot of olive oil
Holy shit please tell him to eat
My partner is like 5'6 and weighs that much and she's already bullied for being "too thin"
that's a fairly normal weight for that height honestly
Are you working for starbucks? Sus, I don't want your oil drink
the smoothie was pea soup with sausage and olive oil in a blender
gross but easy to consume
It's technically very underweight but what matters more than anything is body composition and health
If the person is healthy, honestly idgaf
so many cats
how many Ohms?
most what matters is high enough bodyfat and muscle strength to keep body functioning properly
100 per cat
personally only just barely enough right now
not a lot compared to some stax
Stax cheat
Again, Stax cheat.
I don't want to talk about stax
I used the cheapest pair at a cafe and if that was what the cheapest sounded like, my wallet begs to avoid the brand
Is that DC resistance
just buy some used HE6
"I've used the worst headphone they offer and if that's all they have to offer I think I know everything about them"
-local informed individual
for 3x what it originally cost
Point completely missed
Like, it went into orbit over your head man
It was high praise, not complaints.
imagine being able to eat more
I misread your original message
Eh I'm an IEM person at this point, travel too much for work to be an open back person
just grab a powerstation, speaker amp and HE6 and put it in a bag
Just buy an almost unobtainable headphone
yes
Onto a plane for 18 hours overseas then onto a ship with power that varies from 57hz to 65hz at times? no thanks
Ship power is dirty as hell
or I could just keep using a questyle dac/amp and IE600s
buy a generator powered by gasoline for your portable HE6/Susvara setup
can't have that much gasoline on board a ship
a lot of ports will not allow you to enter
just buy your own plane as well
can't fly with gasoline
fly your own plane, ez
just grow wings
be the average westerner
"laws are here to be broken"
No I am a good boy that commits minor crimes such as speeding and some light high seas
I don't consider those minor
I get to have some light piracy, as a treat
but I would put someone in jail over blasting music in a non standalone home for a week
I try to stay as quiet as possible and avoid getting near humans
because too many twitter users who would harass me to death for seeing their slightly too long beard hair
too many people think they own the world...
rip humanity
I hate everything
ive found a set of headphones to blow up yay
I come from a galaxy far far away, I have an alien body to prove it
I would just gift it to family as wood replacement
lmao
saves some time chopping wood
they bounced on my head
i felt it screaming for help
i havent used all of my amp yet
because my cinema speakers are so andominaly loud
burn them
nah
nice placement
clean setup brodie
Hey guys, soo I hooked up my pc with a 5.1 sound system and when I go about testing the speakers on windows sound test, it just plays on the front speakers and rest dont emit any sound.
Is there something I am missing
you're missing telling us what your setup is
try playing a movie with 5.1 idk
If you're using 5.1, go to Netflix and find smth with 5.1 support
Or download a test off the interwebs
As good as they are I just cannot find Audeze Maxwell anywhere. Not even Ebay. Are there any obscure places i can find them or any good alternatives? I can't wait till June for the backorders.
Check headphones.com
backordered
If I were your mom I'd ask you to turn down your music too
What the hell even is that
its zoomer music
Just dudes grunting into a mic on loop?
aka just noise
nah, it isn't ASMR
sounds too edgy/obnoxious teen like
rather not
Sounds like a bowel movement with hi-hats
"high quality"
listen to wataten OP on it
I mean, doesn't mean anything in audio
dunno what she was doing with 14 inch speakers
especially when audio has only gotten more distorted and bloated with bass
just modern music being modern music
more compression, more bass, and just louder
loud = good according to people these days
because your ears can amplify bass and treble more when it's louder
Whichever one you plug into the left/right channels
Hello! is anyone familiar with the software audiohijack?
like which part of the speaker
like what is the largest one, whats the one on the left, what s the one on the right
woofer and tweeter
big one makes low/mid sounds, tweeter makes the high pitches
why do you do this
hold on lemme copy paste this
it's temporary
im just waiting for longer speaker wire to arrive
bottom left is a hole
Port to let air in/out of the cabinet
ah thats reasonable
Bass needs air
Too much bass + not enough air entering and exiting the box = ruptured speakers
ah
about to give this mf the sealed cabin look
😒
thats a gross oversimplification if ive ever seen one
They asked why it has holes in it, pretty sure an in depth explanation would result in hours of questions
Give them a full explanation, have fun
@quiet ether the port is pretty much another driver that makes the deepest bass of the speaker. it uses energy from the woofer in the cabinet and vibrates air in the port to make bass.
ah
you can have speakers without a port
but they're harder to make it so they have the same bass output
somehow managed to sell my minidsp umik-1 room correction mic for almost the price I bought it for
mics retain good value
sealed speakers and sealed subs>>>>
i prefer sealed speakers because theyre less bitchy about placement
your mom
front port is far less common which is sad
sealed>front>rear for my preferences
side port
top ported
top port collects dust and crumbs
cant put plates on top of speakers while you're eating
I wish 😞
i have now seen the directiva r2 since you sent it
prior to your submission of the photograph of the directiva r2 into the audio-tech channel of the linus tech tips discord i had not seen it
its the world's second least picky speaker to place
well its still a work in progress
what you're seeing is tight dispersion all the way down to 200hz
here's the worlds least pickiest speaker the dutch and dutch 8c doing largely the same thing down to about 150 ish hz
the dutch and dutch speakers are like $8k
the directiva is like, $300 ish
thats pretty good for being a paltry fraction of the price of the dutch
The caveat is that it's only capable of extending down to 200hz and it's expected to have pretty much a subwoofer attached to it.
anyone know a good first set of speakers
preferably bookshelf speakers
i went big for my first set of speakers
noticed lol
14 inch tall
half the height of your desk
yep
anyways
How much do you wanna spend
^
probably around $100-150
my speakers msrp was like 250
theyre massive thats why its 250
lmao
Do you have an amplifier @molten lotus
i bought it for 20 from a old lady
i have an m track solo
If you got the budget go for the 1700
theres a matte black version right
yummy bass
No. If you want a subwoofer you'll need to spend a lot more.
You can get some creative pebbles 2.1
But edifier has an s350
Which is like $400
There's also the Klipsch pro media 2.1
@lean grove thoughts on the Adam T5Vs?
No opinion
F
Gonna mod my grados
Wish me luck
jah speed
owned the T7V myself
probably go for kali audio lp6 v2
the off axis performance of the ribbon tweeters is bad
and they have too much treble
also
they hiss
oh yikes
LSR/HS line were my next gotos
Ignore Yamahas. The lsr's are way better
good to know
for active ribbon speakers you need an internal amp with a low noise floor
never making this mistake again
hey guys, what about K361 vs M50x for bass usage musics
edm, pop, hiphop, rap, phonk etc.
K361, m50x ew
i dont have a suitable living room to buy a open-back headphone
so i need to pick the closed-back one
K361
k371 is better if you have the money
Australis if you have way more money
That's not specific to ribbon tweeters.
nope its too expensive
yeah its not specific to ribbon tweeters
k361 100$ k371 180$
its just more severe on ribbon tweeters from my understanding compared to other tweeters
idk, i live in turkey
ah
i found the second hand m50x, he changed the stock pads to wicked cuchions
is it a good one?
Of all the things I've heard about m50x ... good is not one of them
Not really.
ive heard that they are very pad sensitive so you can basically entirely change them with pads
but that also means the possibilities are infinite
elaborate please
Pretty much all tweeters are gonna have this problem. Tweeters are more sensitive, and we're more sensitive to treble due to our ear shape. There's nothing special about ribbon tweeters in this regard that makes them more susceptible.
And the Adams use an amt, not a real ribbon.
my adam tweeters were bright af
sensitive speakers + noisy amp = 🐍
yeah
well, my room wasn't very good for speakers anyways
so they are gone now
I put the adams in the living room to test if they would improve a lot
it was a let down
maybe because they are "nearfields"
idk
Studio monitors assume you're gonna use them to play music. Not really that important if they have a noise floor so long as it doesn't impact the music.
That's a concern for nerds who keep them at their desk.
What about the akg k361
Nyegh
We just have a sony amp and 5.1 system
At least not a prepackaged kit
@molten lotus
How good are those for gaming?
yes
they are certainly speakers
Shit or no shit
kind of want to get a hd6xx to see if I like it as much as the 560s cause i would love that better build quality
They're good speakers for the money.
Alr
also is there something about the 660s that makes them better for gaming than the others? Ive noticed that all my friends who have audiophile headphones have a 660s even though most have no connection to each other
nah
I game on grados
Fight me
nah that’s just based
Unless your friends just have the preference for that specific tonality, they got shilled a shit headphone
The 660 is awful
Well
Not awful, just worse than thr 650 or 600 for double the price
I wish the hd400 pro wasnt just a $100 more hd560s but a hd560s with the hd6x0 design
Whats wrong with the shell?
well ive had 2 units and with both, in 2 weeks a creaking noise has started in the earcups, mostly the right
and again, why not? better than making the logo black, adding a garbage coiled cable and upping its price by $100
ineed a amp but can only spend like 50 usd is the fiio ka1 pm my only option for something decent? imrunningoffmotherboardaudio
ive entered the forbidden page 2 of amazon searching
Searching for mounting hardware for bookshelf speakers brought me to page 9 lol before I found something good
What are you wanting to drive
Hey guys, is there such thing as a 2in 1 out toslink splitter?
Running off motherboard audio is illegal
Well that's what I have atm, so that's what I'll use
Any DAC/AMP tube combo that you recommend ??
Wonder if anyone ever recommends tube
