An ifi idsd nano ig
Or something with that name, barely remember it
Do you have smth else, just a recommendation? You don´t have to use the website. Just smth that comes to you mind right now.
Elac, Polk, Sony and Klipsch might have something.
Just try not to buy anything with too small speakers
Oh and jbl
JBL also has good stuff
what do you think about "Canton Movie 265"? (Specs: https://geizhals.de/canton-movie-265-schwarz-a1243857.html [German])
surround sound kits like that are caca
ok
Bad
Like i said, try not to go for small speakers.
Anything smaller than ,75 liters per speaker I would be suspicious of. Small speakers = no bass = subwoofer doing all the work
how is that? Samsung HW-Q995GC (Specs: https://geizhals.de/samsung-hw-q995gc-a2903267.html?hloc=de [German]) or that LG DS80QR (Specs: https://geizhals.de/lg-ds80qr-a2810616.html?hloc=de [German])
✔ Preisvergleich für Samsung HW-Q995GC ✔ Produktinfo ⇒ Typ: Soundbar mit Subwoofer und Surroundlautsprechern • Kanäle: 11.1.4 • Leistung: 656W RMS • Audio-Decod… ✔ Surroundsysteme ✔ Testberichte ✔ Günstig kaufen
Try and find a Sony ht-a9
Yes
is there maybe smth. cheaper?
ok thats true
I hate this radio
Does anyone have suggestions for anything better
No way to use external audio sources
hipdac
if you don't want to bother with room treatment focal utopia evos are pretty straightforward
you have to give us a budget if you have one man
600-1k Euros would be the Budget, sry I forgot to send a budget (1 Euro = 1,09$)
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/car-and-driver-car-power-station-with-4-charging-ports-and-fm-transmitter-black/6240410.p?skuId=6240410
I use this thing for my ancient truck
Transmits FM radio station and connects to your phone's bluetooth.
If you're dead set on a new head unit, it doesn't really matter these days, just get a single din unit with whatever connectivity options you want. Keep in mind you usually get what you pay for, but paying more doesn't always mean you get more either.
can anyone reccomend away to eliminate mouse clicking getting picked from a blue yeti?
Decrease the gain and place the microphone closer to your mouth
Alternatively, try RTX voice if you have an RTX card. It works pretty well for me
@formal moth people cant hear me clicking but its more for the recording software such as geforce shadowplay it gets caught up there the mic is relatively close to my mouth lol
rtx voice?
Also if the mic is between you and your mouse be sure to select the cardioid pattern to hopefully block sounds from the rear of the mic.
I don’t have a cup holder in my car
It doesn't have to go in a cup holder, mine sits on the floor, but they also have ones that clip into a vent or just sit in your cigarette lighter. Just search bluetooth FM transmitter and you can find all sorts of them.
I might just buy the stock tape deck
nice phat bass
never heard such clear audio before, i must inquire what is that magnificent speaker?
Very very poor
Here guys (and gals),
I have a hyperX cloud 2 helmet which I quite like, but it's a closed helmet and it actually puts to much pressure on my hears (I recently discovered i have tinnitus). what helmet with a mic would be good in an open design (cause apparently that would be better for my specific case) ?
Sennheiser PC37x or PC38x
they don't seem to show up in my area (france) on amazon at least
Prob would have to look it up as EPOS not sennheiser
Also LCD-GX is far better than PC37X and 38X
It's also like 4 times as expensive
helmet .-.
I didn't see them specify a budget so 🤷♂️
Might as well give the actual best option, at least in terms of things that come made as a headset. Could do better with better headphones + modmic or separate mic, reg or lav
I would legit take r70x + a separate mic any day over lcd-gx
cute
Any interface that provides it has a button or switch to turn it off
That product is mostly stupid lol
Entirely imo
I use a phantom power mic for my main and getting a vintage mic that I don't want to destroy
I'm kind of an idiot so I don't wanna forget it's plugged in and nuke it
That is a problem that doesn't need money to be fixed
You overestimate my mental capacity
Looking to finally up my audio game after running on mid gaming headsets for as long as I can remember, but I'm not quite sure what's good right now. Looked at the dt 990 pro's, but I'm probably going to need an amp to power those at 250 ohms I'm assuming. Any recommendations for am AMP, or a pair of good headphones?
Get the 80ohm version
how big of a difference is there?
880 pro are better and also 250 ohm version doesn't need an amp
any good recommendations for good Studio monitors?
i was looking at genelec and krk
990 is just a worse 880
get a 770
990 is bigger than 880 this man lies to you
990 is just 880 but with the same issues more severe
770 has by far the most issues out of the three
my 990s and 880 both suck ass
More like “I like the extra bass, so I prefer 770”
I've been wanting to get the dt900 pro x
Have heard a bunch of people say the 900 is better than 990, but haven’t tried it myself
The topic is very nerdy
I like my dt990s
But I listen to cassettes and 8 tracks so they already sound awful
For the most part, 990 is just an 880 but slightly worse issues… they say open vs semi open, but they basically just the same amount of open
i dont prefer it because "ExTrA BaSs"
and i use Oratory1990 eq preset anyway
dt770 has no bass
ill die on that hill
linear bass openbacks slam significantly harder and have more rumble
bro what
well use one for the dt880 and dt990 too then
also why do you have three beyer headphones that total for like 500$ and not one good headphone
tf is this
Read
I can literally think of 15 fucking applications of a cable using the word blocker if you are illiterate enough to limit that to one understanding, it is a you issue
I recommend actually being an educated human being before belittling others
it does say exactly what it does in its name
blocker literally can mean tens of things
read it again
it doesn't say anything about what it is blocking
I thought it meant phantom power for a cable
as in a cable connector
because amazon seller naming abilities
it blocks phantom power but passes through the signal otherwise unchanged
i dont know what circumstance itd be useful in because ive never seen a mic preamp where it was forced phantom power
mute button for condensers?
even if phantom power is forced
is there any reason to block it
not like it does anything to dynamics does it
it can kill ribbon mics if i remember correctly and dynamics dont use it
but again you usually have to manually enable phantom power
I don't know about ribbons but dynamics don't get affected by it to my knowledge
it doesnt kill dynamics but your mic wont work with it enabled
must be a very niche usecase
I'm an idiot and I don't trust myself to disconnect vintage microphone after using it and going for my newer mic
Idiot proofing
klaus always gotta question peoples' decisions
Ikr
that looks really clean for such an old mic
why do you need the phantom blocker for this
I believe most were made for soviet institutions so prob sat in storage or in a studio most of its life
Like most microphones in ussr
ah
what connector did it use originally
weird
I think I'm gonna get a Shure SM57 next
Same as what presidents have been using since 60s
i have one
it's extremely overrated and doesnt sound good for vocals at all without extensive processing
it's made for mic'ing instruments and instrument amps, not voices, im not sure why presidents use it
if i had to guess it's because it's small and extremely durable
any ideas on a good bluetooth speaker for the bathroom? i'm no audiophile and i don't want something too expensive just need to be able to hear it through washing my hair. the last nice speaker i had was a JBL (gifted) that finally died two years back. I replaced it with the oontz angle 3 (good reviews and price on amazon) and the sound was so quiet, i could barely hear is over the shower. I was wondering if there is a cheaper brand that's worth the money.
I have a sound blaster X3 and the normalizer (Smart Volume) is useless, barely works properly. Is there a 3rd party utility that can provide a normalizer between the X3 and Windows?
The additional sound settings is missing the usual Windows Normalizer, seems like SB disabled it.
Ue wonderboom is what I use.
what do you use it for, not to be nosy
Anytime I need a speaker or in the shower.
Like idk man. What do you use a Bluetooth speaker for

(b-stock) hifiman he400se $80 and hifiman edition XS $400 on the hifiman website rn
pretty decent deals
How many 400se's are you getting
i think ill get two more and run them in 3.0 surround
My microphone just stopped working today, do I ask about this here or in #1027757333117415424 ?
just yesterday it was working fine, but now my scarlett doesn't even see that it exists
sounds like your average scarlett driver issue
looking for a solid audio interface, is there a better bang for your buck option than the umc22?
m track solo
coming from an umc22 owner
also um2 is also better price/performance since its the same thing
just cheaper
i'll check it out, thanks
MOONDROP goes the digital signal processing route with its budget-friendly $15 Quarks DSP IEMs to have preset EQ filters over a Type-C connector for better tuning than many expensive earphones. The Type-C also makes it easy to use with phones and laptops and provides an in-line microphone for further convenience.
What’s the best headset for gaming that is not way over priced
i like how it's priced $329 when I got them for $250 then EPOS supported them and the price went down. it's bin at this price for a while. mic on it somewhat sucks but if you have a sound blaster soundcard I would recommend these
Sennheiser pc37x or pc38x on drop
I'd still go with the pc37x over those
They look like they got wacky treble and sealing issues with the pads.
yeah the original pads did fall apart because they where not sewn together so I got $40 ones they are not memory foam (they lie) but are sewn.
treble dose get sharp when you turn surround on
it's useful in music
I just max the volume on the headset since it draws in power and use the volume between 10-30%
the volume nob can loose contact over use
Yeah I'd still get pc37x over those.
enjoy vibrating your ears >:3

Almost 3 months- heres what I think.
So I use the autoeq profile for these IEMs. I also use the eq preset below. I have been using the foam tips, however if you choose the same path I do, be prepared to also get a "subscription" of foam ear tips. I burn through a 10pk of tips in about a month and a half. (your mileage may vary) I find them super comfortable when they are in, however it will take a minute to compress the foam and such. It is slightly painful to put them in, but once they settle it is like they dont exist. And everything around you basically doesn't exist, too. I find that the isolation is farrr better with the foam than the silicone tips, and it doesn't hurt me over time like the silicone ones do.
The sound (without eq) I think is the same quality if not higher than my he400se. I still have the issue with 3khz with these IEM's, however i also had that issue with every single earbud I have owned before (ZSNPROX, chus)
(Edit- the foam ones add a warmer tone to the IEMs)
I find that I can actually hear some soundstage, and like I will freak out if I hear faint whispers (in like a song), pause the song and question if it was the song or IRL, especially when the environment around me is quiet.
Sorry for the essay lmao
What are the best headphones for gaming? I would also need a mic for comms, anything relatively cheap, but durable and high quality please
pc37x or pc38x
if you can get a 560s + external mic that'd be even better
Good external mic? And what’s the pricing?
pc37x is about $100, pc38x is about $150
560s is about $150 external mic + boom arm is gonna be about $40
https://www.amazon.com/Units-Balanced-Microphone-Custom-Neutrik/dp/B0979LZRW2/ is something like this worth getting over some other cheap cable
This is a custom-built cable assembly, made by WORLDS BEST CABLES (WBC). This cable assembly is made using the Mogami 2549 (Black) wire and Neutrik NC3MXX Silver Male XLR Connector & NC3FXX Silver Female XLR Connector. We at WBC always make world-class custom-built cable assemblies using many of ...
I don’t have anything that uses those cables
No
Fancy cables are just if you like the aesthetics
Think of it like jewellery
It won't do anything new except look nice lol
Looking for something similar to the Sennheiser GSP 300 but wireless. The razer kraken pro v3 doesn't sound that good and is way more expensive.
But 150/160 euros is fine.
Don’t buy really cheap, just decent as XLR if not shielded well has a habit of picking up RF, you can end up picking AM radio on on a recording
At for XLR and TRS when you’re transmitting really faint signals, for a dynamic mics it’s especially important as you have jack the gain super hard. It’s pretty easy for bad cables to pick up noise.
Speaker wire you can just use lamp wire and it won’t make any difference
I have an odd question
Would I be better off spending $60 on 3 pairs of salnotes zeros or is there something that would be a sound upgrade?
tangzu wan’er
hey guuys, i have some old logitech speakers, i can confirm that they work perfectly but ecvery now and then itll only play out of the left speaker, and when i switch the right and left speaker cables, it plays trough the right one, but this is a 50/50 chance that they both play music
it never switches fast, it either stays left speaker for a while and randomly becomes all speakers, or stays all speakers until randomly becoming left speaker only
Anyone know any good sound bars? Not to expensive
don't buy a soundbar
I'm looking for a £100~ pair of decent wireless over ear headphones Preferably with noise cancelling, but i cant find any good ones around that price point. If anyone has some suggestions I would greatly appreciate it
I'm pretty happy with the Razer Barracuda X, idk if considered good by your standards
its a lot below the price point I was looking for but it looks decent so ty
no, don't
please no
AKG N700NC(M2) is currently the cheapest wireless headphone that's any good
by audio standards, its dogshit at least
ok the akg's look a lot better
wdym
but there are two different ones on amazon with a £70 price gap but they say they are the same
there is an OG and M2
sound quality, actual balance, etc
something razer doesn't do
I get it tho, its targeted at "loud = good, vroooooom"
(even if it means it also sucks for games)
I’m getting it to fill space
should just go ahead and buy the second one then? or should i look elsewhere for a better deal?
don't buy a soundbar
always worth it to look
i mean I don't doubt that there are better models, but it's definitely way better than cheaper headphones I've used before. Many people are not used to high end audio
for now it's perfectly fine for me
yes
I mean, there is audio for 15-25$ that is better
not wireless tho
even if there are 40-50$ TWS that are better
i have noticed tho that for some reason the audio quality is way worse when using a cable instead of the wireless dongle
just don't recommend any audio gamer products period
it's just shit 95% of the time
except for PC38x and Cloud II for those that need the mic attached to their headphones
are they at least decent in terms of latency tho
there currently is no option with good sound and good latency in a single package
at best decent/fine
yea but isn't 38x similar to 600s?
in that case, isnt leaning more towards the latency side kinda the point of a "gaming" headphone
btw @dry stratus do you know what the mic quality is like on the AKG N700nc m2?
tfw you realise you can have the best of both worlds with wired
con have you heard arya
its fine, same for ANC
for lot better ANC with bit worse sound you're looking at Bose quiet comfort
it costs quite a ton more tho
i do prefer the convenience of wireless
OG arya yes, arya stealth no
I did like it tho
probably the one I would choose 1000-2000$
arya stealth looks really nice
the next time I upgrade my headphones I'm definitely gonna do better research but definitely not my priority for upgrades rn
my adhd would make me put it somewhere random and forget where itis
just be like me and barely own anything instead
can't lose if you have no where else to look than floor or couch
i dont mind wires for keyboards and mice but being able to freely walk around while listening to music is very nice
I live with my parents in a 3 bedroom apartment
imagine walking around while playing games (wireless gaming headsets kinda dumb)
wireless for outdoor, yes
i mean i use it both for gaming and for music of course
I get it , but I use my speakers 90% of the time so I don't really care about headphones
i think headphones is the most annoying wires to me
@dry stratus looks like your preference curve
dip in subbass and upper mid to low treble
my speakers
JBL tune 710bt
I don't speak math, why are you only showing 102, 103 and 104hz
fr
what
10^2 = 100 , 10^3 = 100 , 10^4 = 10,000
hes trolling
please tell me ur jokin
oh
oh good
conpin isnt a human being and has really weird audio preferences but hes not dumb
my 1 brain cell
how does the graph look for 60$ speakers tho ❓
Speaking of which, what are some good monitors for around 100
looks like a 6db mid cut so they're v-shaped but probably sound decent for small cheap speakers
hard to argue with $60
mids a lot better than my previous soundbar, I just miss the sub bass
any way to add a sub?
they don't have an output
there's pretty much nothing till 60hz
@dry stratus?
like is there a soundcard I can add and configure crossover
this would be an Easy EQ
all I did:
I thought monoprice made cheap stuff , not $1k headphones
That's cheap for an amt headphone
what's amt? I only know automated manual transmission
There was the heddphone which people had a lot of hype around
Until people actually bought it
which?
Heddphone
💀
Now they're very easy to find used
I was on memebrain keyboard for couple days
because I spilled water on my mech , now I switched back coz it's dried and its so loud
membrane > most prebuilt mechanicals tbh
nah , feels much better
am bored
uhh
this is the ideal curve
oh god no bro
which of the two?
factory
why I'm just squeezing the bass out coz these got very less of it
it doesn't sound bad
I use them at sub 30% volume
prolly causes distortion at higher volume
@unique wind
What noise cancelling headphones are great for gaming and also have perfect sound Signature
that doesnt exist
What headphones would you guys recommend for gaming and decent sound? By gaming at this point I just mean 5.1 and built in mic, preferably under $300. Right now I've got a pair of some razer ones and I cant stand the flat sound at this point
flat sound
you mean no bass?
No like, the EQ does practically nothing, no bass no nothing really
well eq can only do so much
5.1/7.1 surround on headphones is marketing garbage but if you want the best headset (includes microphone) that would be the sennheiser pc38x
it has a neutral sound profile though not bass boosted
if you want extra bass and are willing to use a separate microphone then check out the akg k371
anyway, thats the story for another day
are you from the us?
in the us i should said
No I'm in Sweden, but have access to most US Amazon stuff
https://www.hifiklubben.se/audeze-maxwell-gaming-headset/audmaxwellpsbk/
may i interested you in this if you want to stick with the traditional integrated headset form factor?

silver jot is very pretty i’m happy for u
Is this the jot2?
Yeah
you said something about good spending habits?
That I don't have them, yeah
no it’s good spending habits because big pretty metal box with switches and knobs
buy bigger boxes with increasingly more knobs and switches
that’s how you get closer to hifi
More knobs=better soundstage
@molten lotus
imagine if they made the tuning good
lmao studio trusted
wouldn't let an audeze in a 100km range near my studio if I had one
i dont know how audeze isnt bankrupt
would be fucking insane if they made worthwhile shit for 400$
would be insane if they made anything worthwhile at all
lcd x and r are allegedly good
allegedly good.. if you get a good sample.. just order 5 pairs and keep the best one
LCD-X range from raycon to KSC75 levels of bass from experience at least
point proven
and the R was limited iirc
how does audeze still exist
r is limited yeah
is the market for rich guys who just buy headphones for fun actually big enough to keep them in business
because that's all they have
Well the Maxwell is apparently goated at $300 for wireless headsets.
i think that's because it's the only wireless headset that doesnt outright suck
LCD-2, LCD-2C and LCD-X are quite popular ig
considering their best selling headphone only has 19 website reviews i dont know
i really dont know how they can afford to stay in business
maybe their team is very small
Not many websites that review audio that isn’t sony, sennheiser, etc
no i mean on the audeze website
on the page for the lcd-x
there's only 19 customer reviews and that's their most popular headphone
(i cant confirm) but i would assume that people who are buying such expensive headphones are far more likely to leave reviews too
oh hey it has 20 now someone mustve heard me
Customer reviews are useless anyway
i agree im not using it to gauge how good they are
Its just shills and twitter users
i just dont think they sell very many headphones so im surprised theyre in business
Twitter = newest swear word
Twitter user in dictionary someday: someone who feels the need to go apeshit over everything just because they didn’t agree with the message 100%, and continue to harass the original poster for decades
Probably have sold enough, considering lcd-2C used to be sub 1000 king according to many for quite a while
Nobody is buying direct from audeze tho
Check Amazon, headphones.com, apos.
youre right im shocked
it has more reviews than the hifiman arya on headphones.com
well that's the arya stealth which is more recent but yeah
ive never seen anything remotely audiophile anywhere so i cant comment on that
the best buy locations near me dont even sell pc parts
Imagine even having pc parts sold anywhere other than online
i cant imagine
Hobbies don’t exist here, dell and apple laptops and desktop, samsung, oppo and apple phones
Sony, skullcandy, bose and Sennheiser, jbl audio
And ofc samsung and lg TV
That’s all
Rest basically online only
same here
My headphones aren't allowed to die
absolutely not they gotta keep it pushin
Pushing p
exactly nils
3 of mine have broke and I broke 1
My old Razer Man O Wars i left on my chair and sat on them and they broke
Then through warranty they gave me Razer Naris which eventually the metal pieces holding the earcups broke
Then through warranty again I got a new pair which just “broke” the left driver is constantly working and not working and I have to smack it to get it to work
i broke two pairs of krakens myself
My really old like 2013 krakens are still fine, just the cable was low quality and is split open
But they still work however I havent used them since like 2018
ltt plug
I got the orange xlr cable to match too
swag
Hey, is this channel also good to discuss audio software (ie Carla)? I made a bit of a janky setup with it and would like some advice on a better setup if this channel is fitting for it
(If so, this is my question):
||I am using Pipewire for audio, and I use Carla to route audio to my liking. My end goal is to separate specific sources (like firefox etc) from being included in what is recorded in OBS. Like, if I'm playing a game while recording, I won't want anything I am playing in firefox to be recorded.
I have 3 options for audio related things. My headphones, my Monitors sound thing, and my Blue Yeti Microphone playback. What I did so far for my goal to "work", was in my audio settings I set my primary device as my monitors sound card. This way all sound goes to it by default. Then in Carla, I routed the monitor cards Monitor tab to my Headphones so I can hear everything that goes through the monitor card, allowing me to hear normally. (This way I can just route the Monitor Cards Monitor tab to OBS's input and have it act as the Desktop Audio).
I then set Firefox to my Microphone Playback (something my blue yeti has to, I guess, test audio using a headphone jack) rather than my Monitor Card. This way it does not get included in the Monitor Cards routing to OBS' Desktop Audio while being able to route to my headphones.
The point of doing this as opposed to just setting Firefox to my headphones is so that, if I did want to share Firefox audio in a recording, I could route it to the Desktop Audio (or other) input in OBS.
TLDR:
- End goal is separating sources from being recorded in OBS
- I set my default audio to my Monitors Sound card and routed its
Monitortab to my Headphones and OBS' Desktop Audio input in Carla. - I set Firefox to my Microphones Playback and just routed my Microphones
Monitortab to only my headphones to avoid it being recorded in OBS via Desktop Audio, the reason I didn't just set it to route to my headphones outright was so I could share it if desired, since if I routed my headphonesMonitortab over to OBS, it'd share everything I hear and I don't want that.
It's a very janky setup and I would like advice on how I can do this in a less janky fashion.||
They still work fine surprisingly
why did you spoiler this
Incase it wasn’t an appropriate channel, I didn’t want to waste anyone’s time.
Is the zen can air worth it or would I be better off getting the zen can?
latter
though the prior is supposedly also decent
but it's just hearsay
got new speakers for my computer
yes my desk is a mess and my camera on my phone is garb
Nils do you use TikTok
ive never even heard of this tick tack
Which obs version are you using ATM?
29.0.2-2
Oh then you could just negate all of that
OBS now includes a plugin called advanced audio capture, which lets you choose to capture audio from a specific program. Then with multi audio track enabled, you can choose a specific audio track that will record Firefox sounds only.
Where can I find the plugin?
Ah, is that a windows only feature?
you are using linux?
I am
then the bake in is indeed windows only
i found one that works with linux tho, give it a shothttps://obsproject.com/forum/resources/obs-pulseaudio-app-capture.1436/
Similar to the win-capture-audio plugin by bozbez that allows for the capturing of audio from specific applications except for systems that use PulseAudio as their main sound server.
NOTE: This plugin is still experimental and under development...
Hmm, I don't think this will work unfortunately. It mentions that it uses the Pulseaudio server, but I am on Pipewire. I wonder though if that matters.
I appreciate the feedback
Similar to the win-capture-audio plugin by bozbez that allows for the capturing of audio from specific applications except for systems that use PulseAudio as their main sound server
except pulseaudio
so anything thats not pulseaudio would work
Oh I'm blind
according to their description
Ty for pointing that out to me
I did not see the word except
Then yeah I could give this a try
@molten lotus
An hour later of tuning
he has 4 pairs of ears
oh really? And I actually don't need an amp either? 250 ohms just sounded like a lot, so I just assumed that my motherboard wouldn't be able to power that
Impedance and sensitivity are the two factors that you should care about, and those headphones are sensitive enough
I hate elgato customer support
My new mic arm got a scuff on the mount and they told me I'd have to buy a whole new arm instead of just selling me the clamp
return the entire thing
Stay away from the pro models
More expensive for no reason at all, same exact sound but with an annoying coiled cable and more clamping force
there might not be a non pro version of dt880
beyer has this weird thing where some of it's headphones only have pro versions
they have an 'edition' and a pro version
Dt880 edition
Edition is the normal version, it used to be just dt880 but a few years ago they just changed it to edition
any recommendations for studio monitors?
Genelecs are always the safe bet in most budgets
aight
should i go for the 8320a ? i dont sit very far from the source
What budget?
~400 Euros
Assuming they fit in the budget at all
jbl 305p is my go to for that much and they are pretty good
But I can't proclaim they are the best you can get for 400$
theyre solid
oke
they're very competent, but for relatively close listening you can hear some hiss from the amp
unfortunately
I think it's important to know whether a driver responds well to eq, though
I like to know if I can crank the bass once in a while without the drivers distorting
That part is true, I just personally believe when rating/judging sound quality and stuff like how neutral it is, EQ should never be a factor in the decision
My old razer naris distorted like hell with EQ lol
yep
not quite new, but easily my top rec
Update- 2 days later, just went to a doctor bcuz of an earache. Turns out, there was a massive wax build up. Literally more wax than I have ever seen. She said to stop using these lmao
i have a basic sony bluetooth headphones (WH-CH510) Should I Get Logitech G535 lightspeed
@molten lotus
Well, any good iems for around the same price?
Skill issue
Did she tell you to get some mineral drops
I currently have the same thing, unrelated to iems tho
Doctor told me to get some mineral oil drops.
Nah im getting pill omoxicillin
There's also otoscopes
Which have a lil camera

Clean your ears dude
Your ears, clean them dude
Need a mic and headset for gaming preferably wireless headset as for mic both are ok
Are headphones ok? Or does it need a mic on it?
I’m no good at audio, but these people who are usually like clarification
Yeah both are ok I was going for a seperate mic and headset lemme send the links
Heard there's better options tho
With what? It was super deep in ear
Earwax is a liquid deep in ear. You either have a medical issue or are pushing dried external earwax deeper with your headphones.
pretty normal
Pls no
That headset gonna last a year then break somehow
that's just modern steelseries
💀
as for the mic, it's overpriced
it's not really good at anything other than hype
and it's huge
What should I go for then?
do you need wireless for the headphones?
Yes please I hate wired headphones cause I tend to move alot
do you need low latency
Preferably yeah
I was using first ps headset before and thought it was good but idrk audio feels the same to me or maybe uust cause I never really got a good quality headset
anyone got suggestions for low latency wireless headphones?
(max price is like 150 dollars i'm not rich)
Audeze maxwell
Or get something with a longer cable
Just in general headset cable just dont suit me I walk around the house w my headset 💀
Pretty much
maxwell has a (mediocre) mic
Nah yall playin w me 😭
It should be fine unless you run a podcast or something
So no need for a seperate mic?
not unless you feel like you need one
I wont be doing podcasts but videos and streams will it be enough?
Sure
As long as your voice is intelligible the quality of the voice shouldnt be as important
Wdym
Like is the quality meh or can I be heard clearly is it far close?
Its fine
Nothing special

Says ps or xbox ver I am guesing it works on pc too
Yes
If its anything like other headsets I would get xbox
because then it will work on xbox and pc
does it use a different connection for mic and headphones? or does it work in headset mode?
So ps doesnt work on pc thata stupid asf fr
Microsoft might not let them idk
depending on the version you purchase
also does hsp/hfp still kinda ass
or is it replaced?
Any recommendations for over the ear headphones and mics?
So I have to go w xbox?
- akg k371 - closed back headphones
- sennheiser hd560s - open back headphones
- sennheiser pc38x - open back gaming headset (has microphone)
- fifine 669 or 683 - budget usb microphones
The HD 560S indulges the audiophile evaluating their music’s entire journey through the audio path. This open-back headphone is tuned to reveal the truth in your music without sacrificing the gratifying bass response needed to reproduce complex modern music—all at a breakthrough value. Yes
I Just got the HD560s about a month ago. I love them and I have it paired with a Audio Technica at2020 going into a Focusrite Scarlett solo
Are there any differences between the E10KTC and the E10K other than just usb c?
i was gonna make a joke about the e10k being an overpriced uncompetitive dac amp made in 2014 and the e10ktc, 7 years later, is still overpriced and uncompetitive.
but as it turns out its the same exact hardware except the type c has a fancy new USB controller.
Any new/better dac/amp combo you could recommend? Preferably under 100$?
under $100 I would get some sort of CX31993 dongle, which are usually quite clean sounding and powerful enough for most headphones, so that I can save up for a proper amp like a schiit magni or jds atom.
alternatively you can get the ifi uno
which i havent heard much about
so that ones less safe
schiit magni+ is just 109$, is that the one you meant?
yes
its just an amp, no dac
so thats why you should get a clean little dongle dac to pair with it if you're just starting out
ooooh
interesting
got a song that i occasionally listen to thats actually loud enough to leak through my hd560s into my mic lol
aight make that 2 songs lol
no
asus + audio won't be good ever honestly
interesting
asus is as zoomer design as it comes after all
cyberpunk/military design
unless they stop targeting children that are insanely into cyberpunk and military ofc
which is when it is no longer popular with kids
After a lot of research I have for a wireless pair of headphones, I have came down to these 2 options:
Audio Technica ATH-M20xBT or 1MORE SonoFlow ANC
I was looking for some cheap wireless headphones with or without anc, good sound quality and will be using them for music/movies at home or commuting around
neither
could you elaborate on that
neither are good
what should i get then?
budget?
$100 usd
WAHEEEEY
WAAAHEEEEEY
This is the most silly thing I’ve done but I can confirm, it works, it’s loud, nothing is broken
Where'd you put the third woofer

Can confirm it made my arm hairs shake - how immature
Clothes dryer
I’m in the uk, kitchens here don’t typically have a separate utility space
hate those
f's up your clothes more often
Make sure you don’t use one
I'm sure everyone you drove past thought you were really cool
a sad little boi*
nah, just be the man child with his loud cheap broken used car and blasting bass everywhere like he is the king of the world
too many of those exist sadly..
in general
that's basically my stereotype of "that 19-28 year old guy with aviators, baseball cap, sports clothes and his mom's old car falling half apart but "modded" to be as loud as possible"
Ahhhh I see
Con-pin hates bass
that too
Aww
can't handle it anyway
I see
too nauseating
Gosh
well, bloat, rumble, etc does
I was listening to Motown for most of the journey so what you’re referring to wasn’t a thing
conpin isnt a human being
My very human wrist

regardless of how i ask it, it wants me to dox myself lmao
There's no way he's passing any of those
Maybe a captcha
But I'm not sure
send us an DNA sample
hey guys not sure if this is the right place to ask this but do you guys have good headphones recommendations for a fair price?
40$ - 65$?
what the headphones for?
gaming?
edting?
listening to yameii's new fire album candy?
gaming, listening to music and calls
lol
so you can sacrifice audio accuracy for something tuned for a more "enjoyable" auditory experience to consume content such as music and games 🤓
Check out the creative aurvana live or koss porta pros.
YO YOU 14? @wispy zephyr a non adult like me
nah nah this is mine
im linus
lemme help him
You're annoying

Those are headphones.
Koss porta pros.
Creative aurvana live.
this the budget?
just awnser my question pls.
yes maybe a bit higher
💔
oh okay
okok
@wispy zephyr you need a mic on your headphones?
preferably or I could buy mic separately if better quality for lower price
from experience, for gaming and vc its better to gave mic on headphones
unless you have a mic stand
Hear and sound like a pro with the PRO X Gaming Headset. Pro designed with detachable mic and Blue Voice software for professional sounding voice comms. I'm sorry but why are the first ones so ugly ;-;
he a boomer, has no taste
Yeah unfortunately. But they sound good. And they're very durable.
he doesnt need allat 💯
he needs headphones tuned for gaming
and a good mic for calls
and rgb.
i didn't mention rgb
shush
i actually think it's a waste ;-;
every gamer needs rgb

do the second ones have a included mic?
Not that I know of.
my guy... i sent three headphones
You'd need to get a little fifine or a lapel mic
about the creative aurnava live, can you compare me the audio quality of them vs the blackshark v2 x?
Haven't tried the blakchsarks but looking at data online, for bass, they're gonna have a bit more rumble and a bit less bomp. They extend deeper but won't hit as hard. Treble might be kinda similar enough.
They're gonna sound a bit more natural and probably a little bit more boring. They got shallow cups too so they sit on your ears rather than going over and around them.
So the audio quality is basically the same?
Not making decisions to buy the blacksharks or not, just asking
the older blacksharks sounded quite muffled to me, unless theyve improved quite significantly the cals will be quite obviously more clear
What is a good detachable mic that I can put into my Astro A40s?
I haven't heard black sharks, so I'm just looking at rough strokes.
Okay, what about a separate microphone in the range of 55$?
Fifine USB mic with a mic arm.
Most USB condensers are fine. You can easily get a sound demo for most of them on YouTube and listen for any hissing or weird electrical noises
Hey Nils, I asked you yesterday about amps. I checked out both the JDS labs one and schiit, but shipping makes them a little over double the price, do you know if there are any resellers or manufactures in/around EU/Sweden?
Uhhhh no. I'm not super familiar. Ifi, topping, smsl, and monoprice might have something.
I use a cheap usb mic and its fine
you dont need some hind end shit if you are just chatting with your friends on discord
but dont cheap out either
you can go pretty amazingly cheap tho and get something reasonably ok
https://www.prisjakt.nu/c/dac-horlursforstarkare, this is in swedish, but it's basically like a swedish price runner with it all. How "bad" is the E10K with 250ohm headphone?
cop an ifi zen air dac if schiit is unavailable
which is a better dac than the modi 3+ and atom dac
but is a worse amp than the magni 3+
e10k is just bad
like why would you want it
stick to a dongle or something
It's the only one the closest/largest tech reseller has
just don't buy an amp then
just get a dac dongle?
yes
Alright for the future with an amp, any notable difference between the magni+ and jbs lab atom?
Magni is gonna have a bit more character and power, atom is gonna be cleaner and more functional.
whats up with magni+ or heretic? one with discrete components and one with ICs?
anyone recommend a 5 meter cable for hd560s?
the virgin klaus fears the chad op amps
The secret is he ate one when he was young and got sick
Who can recommend some SOLID headphones for PC (for gaming, listening to music, general use)
Budget is not a problem, but favour value for money (as long as it isn't low end)
I prefer bassy headphones with noise cancellation, that way I can't hear my pc
how do you feel about iems (earbuds with rubber tips), youll get much better noise isolation than cancellation and extremely awesome sound for very cheap
I have airpods pro (2nd gen), would it be viable to literally just use those?
dont see why not besides the lack of multi device pairing
It is however a biit of a pain to switch between phone and pc with them but that's fine
I like my Hyper X Cloud 2s
Yeah, that's just apple being apple
whining because you aren't in the ecosystem
there are much better cancelling units for cheaper and with better sound quality
Though hyper X isn’t noise canceling
but the cancelling is less natural so 🤷
Than airpods pro?
yep
I hear those Sony earbuds are good?
kind of interested, noise cancellation is only preferred
if there are headphones that offer better bass then I'd happily take a look
headphones
eh
iems definetly
I can never game with headphones on. Afraid someone’s gonna sneak up on me and startle me
er2xr are the most cancelly and have great bass, but they are rather uncomfortable for most people
ehh that's a dealbreaker
personally use salnotes zero, less isolating than even the airpods but $20 and pretty solid all around
So iems are better for bass & overall quality as well as price?
cca cra+ have more bass and treble and are also nice
yea generally need to pay 5x for headphones of similar sound quality if you want closed
if you can go for open headphones tho its a different story
The bass would have to be impressive as I currently use beats solo 3
😬
but I've had them 4 years and they're getting a bit old and used now
What does that mean lmao
What's the difference?
beats arent particularly significant in the bass
they just have alot of upper bass to hide their lack of lower bass
open you can hear around you and get significantly better sound quality
I use them wired. Wireless broke a while ago
🤷 presumeably quite similar
So not for noise cancelling, I see
what do you think my best option would be overall?
id recommend trying the salnotes, they are $20 and i love mine
so you're saying that these little cheap things are as good as headphones that cost hundreds?
are they comfortable?
if you find airpods pros comfortable they will be slightly less but not significantly
I see, well I don't find them actively comfortable
I'm aware that they're in my ears
just as long as they don't cause discomfort then I'm good
they have plenty of tip sizes
the cra+ might have better options for smaller ears bc chinese brand but 🤷
are there any particular specific ones you'd recommend?>
no i mean the ones that come in the box
For the price I might just buy and see if they're any good, not like the stakes are high
if you want to buy extras go for it
I'd probably do that if needed
the main 3 options for $20 are salnotes zero, truthear hola and cca cra
for the same approx price
the cra has alooot more bass than the cra+ but sacrifices significantly everything else
reviews say hola are less treble more bass but idk i dont own em yet
Are there any that I can get a good amount of everything (especially bass) without significant compromise?
I'd rather not have less of anything but just more of the bass if y'know what I mean
theres also the wan'er but i dont know much about em
if you really just want more bass, try the truthears zero, they are $50 but they are extremely bassy without sacrificing much
Oo nice, yeah price isn't an issue
So if iems are so good, why aren't haven't I heard about them?
they definetly are rather large tho, so with smaller tips they may fall out of your ears
cause most folks dont like sticking stuff in their ears
hmm, thanks for letting me know
Lmao fair enough
also they have dropped in price in half every year for the last 3 years for the same quality
so would people in studios use these, they're that good?
Damn
studios use custom models
I see
whenever someone is on stage, check their ears, they probably have iems
Damn
the customs often start in the $800 range and many stars have many $2k+ sets
So like I said, I'm using them for general purpose with my pc. I assume they'd be good for gaming and such, right?
oh yea, they are pretty great
watching youtube, music, gaming, all of that
a quick google search told me "nah headphones got better sound stage bla bla"
so are they chatting bollocks or they got a point
depends on the headphones
if you are ok with open, there are plenty of options with a ton of soundstage
I mean for the price and for the quality I guess I can't really complain
if its closed back tho there really arent any options
tho i only look at stuff under $500
What even is the difference between a good sound stage and a.. not good sound stage? what characteristics do they have?
Can you tell I don't know much lmao
so you know how you can hear things from different directions?
Yeah
good = you can tell the exact location and it sounds like its outside of your head
mediocre = you can tell the direction but it sounds like its relatively close to you
bad = only left right and center
where do IEMs stand on that spectrum?
at this price you are looking at mediocre
iems do pretty well with imaging in terms of directionality but don’t have a lot of depth
many higher skilled players use iems
could you say the same for the truthears zero?
also this does not apply to games even slightly
only music
games bake in distance and direction into the sound if you set them for headphones
oo I see
music assumes you have speakers, where games you can select what you have
So would IEMs be a solid choice for my purpose of general use (gaming, consuming music, online videos etc)
yep
i havent touched my headphones in a while
iems are a cheat code for real
you can get great frequency response tuning for $20
whereas that starts at like $160 with headphones
I mean
Amj did say no budget.
Damn okay
Do you want something good value or do you want something good
also said good value tho
Well yeah, but if I can save a buck and get solid quality I'm not gonna complain lmao
you could get both headphones and iems and see what you like more
a good set of iems only costs $19
$20-$50 iems are gonna be good value. But for $150ish you can get the 560s which are the best entry level headphones right now
sennheiser 560s is such a unicorn
definetly wont block the noise of a pc...
Is that a requirement?
i kinda like being able to hear my environment even if it’s a little noisy
🤷 was originally
Ah yeah. Open back is not noise cancelling.
if you want bass and ambient noise reduction then iems are the way to go
truthears zero; solid option?
thats the most bassy option that still sounds relatively decent
they are noticeably cleaner than the salnotes, cra+, chu
weird
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fanmusic-TRUTHEAR-Crinacle-Earphone-Dynamic/dp/B0B7DS1QHZ/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=truthears+zero&qid=1680905900&s=electronics&sr=1-2
these, do any of you know if they come with a range of ear tips (preferably small)?
If no are there any separately available?
they come with a decent set
i pulled the filters off my zetian wu because they were filthy and it totally changed the sound for the worse
i need to see if they gave me replacements in the box
good to know
With Final Audio's Type E Series Eartips, it is possible to achieve what could be termed a perfect fit. Each eartip size is created with the optimum aspect ratio, utilizing silicon of differing rigidity for the earbud and the axis. With the optimum shape and material, the E Series reduce the feel...
they did fall out of my ears, so i bought these
So if I just bought those now I'd be making a good choice?
ye
tip rolling is a thing tho
also dont default to the smallest tips, try the medium ones and work your size down
Yeah that's a good idea
so those big ones + the eartips would mean that there's less chance of them falling out?
try the stock tips first
Because if I can't hear anything because they've fallen out then what's the point
tips are extremely personal
Right ok
considering I've got small ears
these gonna be viable?
its the part that sits outside that is large
like very small
i wish dekoni made extra small foam tips because even their small ones are a little annoying
That's what I'm thinking
like are they even gonna fit in my ear
the outside isnt supposed to go in your ear it sits outside
Lmao right
and they wont fall off because of the cable, they just get less seated
the further outside of your ear the nozzle is, the less bass you get
and heres the tips it comes with
https://storage.googleapis.com/headphones_com_blog_files/zero4.jpg
large medium small in more bass and less bass versions as well as foams
Yeah I've learned that with airpods pro
dang those on the top right are hecking small
Which ones are bass versions? Lmao
I'm guessing they're more bass because they can seat more in your ear
those are the ones that are on the iems lel
these are the ones that are generally touted as the best sound, but they have to go so deep into your ear that i cant stand em
ouch
nope
well they aint falling out
these are serious professional gear that work great
and they are about double the isolation of the airpods
Yeah I can imagine with those ear things
So you'd recommend those eartips that you sent + those truthears
Just got my pair of hd6xx. The headphones wont show up on my pc, unsure why. Done a restart, reinstalled sound drivers, but nothing. Someone help
try the truthears, get tips only if you find the stock tips un good
Ok thank you so much, really appreciate it dude
Will get those
#1027757333117415424 but check your wiring, plug directly into the motherboard if possible
no lol
they just sound alright
klaus we are talking comparing to consumer-fi for someone who wants bass...
😐
