dx240 is also a good dap

I heard that has some issues though
Interesting, I should check it out then.

I need help
My dumb fucking earbuds sound like they are at half volume 100% of the time
I can't even hear them on the plane max volume
They used to sound good
I did but not with alcohol
I'll try that when I get to the hotel
I also just said fuck it and bought a new pair of travel over ears
I haven't had any in years
I had a lot of cash on me and they were for sale lol
buy airpod pros tbh
Yah they are often on sale
They even work perfectly fine with android
But I wouldn’t recommend them for msrp
what model
anyone know a good third party equalizer for Android? the default one on my Sony Xperia 10 iv is actually the worst.
i don't know how good the Microsoft Windows one is, but it actually just blows the one on my phone out of the water, no contest!
actually I think it may or may not be Spotify's EQ since I can't seem to access it in sound settings unless I open it through the settings on Spotify
poweramp equalizer
Spotify has a default built in that's garbage
if you have a system-wide EQ like poweramp EQ it'll disable built in and use that instead
I never saw this I've been traveling, I have the Sony hole earbuds (link buds lol)
Wavelet
if you want autoeq or a simple eq
sure
PAEQ is still better if you're trying to fine control
any recommendations for 200-250€ active speakers in white?
edifier mr4
fluance ai41
Arrived ^^
Anyone know which mic-pack LTT uses ? I know they use two on each talent, but don't know which models. They mentionned it in some video but no idea when that was.
I paid 125 USD for a music player(NW-A45)...it's "great and all", but i dont need it...so i think im gonna bring it back
According to Amazon, I'm looking at about 200-350 minimum for a "high resolution" audio player
I got my new headset and it sounds real good only issue is the cord is very short, what extender should I get for Cals se?
air pods pro are pretty good. but if ur just listening to YouTube it really does not matter. if ur playing music then that's a different story.
The primaries or the secondaries
normally they use a shotgun
then they have the good wireless packs
and the ones that hiss once in a while
@haughty girder Yeah, I meant the wireless packs. You can always see they carry two different brand/models connected to two different lapel mics.
schiit I remember them talking about it on a wan show
I don't remember which one but I remember the context I'll see if I can find it
they were talking about "if you got x wireless pack, it meant you were important and every word you said needed to be crystal clear. If you got y wireless pack, it meant you were a little less important so a small hiss here and there wouldn't matter too much"
Does anyone have experience with Dynaudio?
They make some pretty nice looking speakers
Any wireless headset for pc recommendations?
Audeze maxwell
thank you ill check them out !
Is there a USB-C 3.5mm and charger adapter that's by a brand name?
I gave up on my LG V60 because its firmware was garbage and the charging port broke for the 3rd time on the 3rd device.
I have a FiiO BTR5, but I want something where I can charge and listen without using Bluetooth.
Im sure samsung sells em
Or like
Any phone brand
Yeah, that looks like it would blow up a phone 🤣

i personally use a usb hub, you can plug whatever usb dac you want into the hub
Hmm, good point. I do have one, but it's a bit big.
my mom uses a usb c to usb c + 3.5 adapter but its very much not from a brand name
HI there
im seeking help, my situation right now is moms new TV needs a new audio setup, gotta get rid of the old soundbar, i was adviced to get 2 kali audio lp-6 2nd wave for the start. i already found out id have to use either the eARC or the optical output from the TV (LG77B29LA) and id have to use some sort of DAC converter right
can u advice me what you would do in my situation? another person i talked to also said some TV's lock the volume control when connected to a eARC or optical audio output
help pls
Spidf out is how I connect my sound bar. Earc is also better now if the TV is newer. For the soundbar recommendations. I have none. Linus did a review of the Bose sound bar. But getting the sub with it is also a good idea from his review.
i ws told i should keep my fingers from soundbars
sound bars are generally worse
but like
its your mom's tv setup honestly
go for whatever is convenient
i want her to have the best for the money tho
420 euro budget
and i was told to get 2
you would need two but not sure if this is the best play for a tv setup
pretty sure those are nearfields
are u from germany? im too, what would uget ur mom for like 400 euro
I'd ask in a different discord server and get ideas from there since I don't know much about non studio near field speakers for desktop use
and since people here don't know much about the speaker market from what I can tell
at least not as much as some servers like sonic visions etc
okay sonic visions i check out any other server?
I don't know any particularly speaker oriented discord servers
don't ask for headphone advice in sonic visions though
absolutely meme tier advice in there regarding headphones
only need advice for speakers and how to get them running
they are boomer fi but they will likely help
i am looking to buy a new head set (i don't need a mic) i've always liked the Xbox stero head set but it always breaks in the same place so i kinda want to spend a bit more to get something that won't break as often as i can be rough with things.
i am looking at the rig headphones 700 https://www.amazon.com/RIG-Ultra-Light-Removable-Canceling-Microphone/dp/B09VCQZ4G8 as there is a $25 coupon on it

yes
and those are pretty good? they are close to my full budget and i would like to not spend the full amount is there a good place to look for them cheaper?
Been looking at the Truthear HEXA's, are they worth the 70 USD price point?
I do already have some nice open back cans, just want something that wont hurt my head after wearing them for a while
They are considered to be the best pair of entry level headphones.
And occasionally they do drop to $120
Use camelcamelcamel to see how low things can get on Amazon
For speaker advice?
SV one of the better server for speaker advice
yes for windows, for phones it'll break USB audio as it can't detect what's connected, just that there's a hub
i am currently typing to you from a keyboard plugged into a usb hub, and listening to wan show over a usb adapter all plugged into my phone
android is linux, just with janky stuff added on top that makes audio somewhat problematic
but as long as its a dac, itll be fine (dont use an audio interface unless it forgets settings on reboot, my audio interface saves settings and my phone has messed it up several times)
Are Sonos One SL or Sonos One (Gen 2) decent?
Is there a beige tax now? Man.
it’s limited edition supposedly
So lame
Are they actually good though? I usually just.. Dont like on ears.
Or are there over ears/maybe iems that are better?
Porta pros? They are fine
Dark tho, so most people will get ksc75
Over ears? Nothing until 150 and for iems, yea you could argue that the 20 buck chifi iems are better
Like ear cups. Also I think I might be willing to pay that.
nothing better until 150? what
akg k361 slap the shit out of koss
save for soundstage maybe
which I'd say still isn't even different in league
Hi, my stereo speakers (connected with AUX converter to PC) Make this noise when nothing is playing.
It's very low but since my room is quiet, it's annoying
I bought new Cables but not fix
Can someone help?
I increased volume so you hear it easily
hey guys, i was making a list of the most overkill pc(s). my question is: what is the best speaker (no budget, just the best)?
Avalon Tesseract
Does anyone know of a hearing protection product I could get for music concerts to reduce the volume without significantly affecting the sound?
try setting the aux output higher but the amplifier lower
Yeah I did from a point it goes very low and I need gain
I think not having ground is the reason for noise
I use this converter, I should make a ground on the wall and ground for it
Since houses only has 2 line here
Yes, needs to touch the ground, and that third part, a wire also can do it, must try and see if it removes the noise
At least half of it
btw having no ground is pretty dangerous and you should not be using adapters like these
Imagine a country with 80+M population not having ground in their house or devices
This is where I am
Seems like a hell of an oversight from the people planning the electrical grid lol
you are going from the left plug to the right one right
The adapter itself is perfectly safe, it's just unsafe to be using it without the ground
Every plug looks like this in my country
you have ground
We don't have ground
the side metal is ground
I constantly snip and insulate all my ground pins to eliminate unwanted noise
Maybe it is in this adapter, but in the actual walls there's not
All high end equipment allows you to eliminate ground anyway
Most of it is double insulated despite the metal chassis, so there's not a lot to be concerned about
yeah your right
It looks like you could easily retrofit Schuko plugs at least
Once you have installed a ground outdoors
Might also want to look into GCFI/RCD protection if available where you are
I think I need to make changes in the house, making ground for whole room at least
If the cables in your walls are only two core, that won't be cheap
what the fuck
There are 85 million people with this in their house
why
Because it's stupid country
which
Iran
L
Yeah
btw Daniel you could check the sound with the aux on your phone? Aux on your phone has less noise probably
here in finland many older houses also have those still
POV Klaus finds out different outlet types exist
we all reacted the same way when we found out finland was real and not just an inside joke
I meant that many houses still have the older type C outlets that dont have grounding
That power strip actually does have ground. It's the meta springs at the top and bottom. That's the ground. They interact with metal pads on the connectors
Tho the second pic you've sent does not have those pins, so that one is genuinely not grounded. But then you also shouldn't be able to plug in a Schuko-plug (which is what you have as an adapter and also as a power strip)
K361 BT still good? I'll use it wired for music probably and wireless when I need. What about the K371?
bt version is not good
the wired k361 is
k371 is k361 with more emphasized bass
go for whichever you want
Probably gonna be best I get accuracy wise though for that price?
Yeah that's the thing
unless you go open back
if you do there is he400se but it's not very good sounding off of motherboards or phones so you will need a dac to make it actually compete against other entry level stuff
but it is cheaper by itself than the most entry level audiophile stuff
Do you need an amplifier? How much power do you really need? And what misconceptions exist about hard to drive headphones in general?

I wanted to get a dedicated player for my music tbh. There were a couple $80-120 players I was looking at with their own sort of clickwheels, but they dont have USB C which is a bit of a dealbreaker, just because ive basically fully switched at this point
I don't recommend players
they don't get good until you start spending lots of money
until that point just go for a mobile dac/amp
ifi hip dac is a decent one
though i don't know many other portable dacs
Oh are those planars?
Those are what I was looking at, I want a dedicated device for my music tbh. Something tactile and will.. Satisfy me instead of tapes because wow those are a pain to find these days
well
you aren't getting it
its simply not available for your price bracket
they exist in that price range but like
they aren't good at all
you would be shooting yourself in the foot
Probably up to 200? 150 is where I'd rather stay
don't buy random sponsored amazon items
more like "bought their way to the top of the list amazon items"
the cheapest fiio music player is like
500$
i think
gotta love how often the sponsored items are just scams on amazon
just go with a mobile dac/amp
daps are cool but they are just appealing cash grabs when they are cheap
someone might recommend you something else fitting your price bracket if you stick around but I personally know no items that are good for that much
Alright thanks. And the ifi hip is $170 right now? $190 normally?
not sure, I never bought one
let me check some sites
yes
that is the normal price
you can also consider fiio btr5 if you want a smaller alternative
or the fiio k3
Would this Headset be good : elo 7.1 air for 140 euro
no
How about the Quidelix 5K? Looks like a competitor to the BTR7
How do they compare to BTR5 then?
I am not sure
es100 mk2 is not very strong though
contrary to btr series which have balanced outputs
Any Headset good for Max 100 euro?
cloud 2
oh wait
I think the es100 mk2 does have a balanced output
2.5mm
anyways the fiio is still more stronger
but I don't think you would have something particularly difficult to drive so it shouldn't matter
ask someone more knowledgeable about the performance comparison honestly
not for under 100 euros I don't
Quidelix has a balanced output
it does
Alright. Well I plan on getting those planars you were suggesting.
As for drive difficulty
they don't have much bass
they layer well
have exceptional clarity
decent stage
but they have lacking bass
its one of those things you either love or hate
go for k361/371 or dt880 250ohm if you want more of an all rounder
or hd560s
Ah. I might get the k371 as well because I like bass
I just want to squeeze as much out of my music I can without paying too too much. Just to sort of see how I like it
if you want that then spend another 100$ on your headphones rather than a dac/amp
Any good speaker? I Will jsut use it for gaming, not anything
I don't know anything about which speakers are good for gaming
Even with just.. Pc speakers and I need something for my Pixel 4. Sorry, I want it to last as well. Like I want it to tide me over for a while
I just want it to Sound good for cheap
And is the fnati react good?
a battery based mobile dac/amp is not the way to go about it
no
yes
Ill take
real pros use in ears anyway
Ok
Real pros dont know how computers work
any recommendations for a speaker amp bout 100€ with trs L/R in?
there are speaker amps with trs inputs?
yeah
thought it was 6,35
I don't think speaker amps with trs inputs exist
can i use trs to rca?
I believe so
my audio interface has 6,35 outs, firstly i wanted to use it with kalis lp-6 but got some JBL control 1 pro free from work
should work with a trs to rca adapter
ok perfect, are there any in white lol?
cables?
nah amps
white is a rarer speaker amp color
besides i dont think you can find many speaker amps for 100e
hm, what would you then recommend for 200?
where is that?
interesting, I guess it's my interface then haha
Or might depend on the usb hub
i was using an insignia type A hub
Plugged my kb and mouse in, worked fine
interface on the other hand wouldn't work
(it works fine plugged directly into phone and tablet)
but I was trying to use usb hub since it's powered
so it would help my battery a bit by not letting the interface drain it
@leaden cloak congrats on winning the spring tips haha
hi! since I built the new pc, whenever I plug my audio interface in it (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2) the speakers connected to it start hissing and won't stop no matter what. This doesn't happen if I plug it in my laptop, nor the hissing comes from the headphones plugged in it. Tried every usb port but the problem still the same. Any tips?
reinstall drivers
done but the problem still there
Oh you noticed haha. Thank you
Nice
I got a pair of HD598Cs closed back headphones about 3 years ago for listening on the go and love them, and I figured the 650's would be good for at-home listening
Does anyone know why I'm picking up static noises thru my mic? I'm currently using a Razer Seiren X
hey, i was wondering whats a good brand to buy replacement earpads for my hyperx alpha s
i'm currently looking at the one from brainwavz but if there are higher quality options i'd love to hear
doesn't hyperx themselves sell the original earpads
Btw @molten lotus I found some speakers that I think will fit under my monitors.
No idea on quality but they seem decent
Hi
brainwavz are basically best value
I believe with the alpha s you may need the angled pads though, given they're the ones with angled drives they both work but alpha s will work a bit better with flat
they don't look bad, nice find
thank you!
they are PolkAudio MOMO's
10 inchers!
i love them so much lol
they are 1000 Watts each peak
and 4 Ohms
2 inch voice coil
noobie question
Anyone got recommendations for sound cards? Need it to have an optical out with 7.1.
Looking to not spend too much
like 100 or so I guess
There's a guy on here called carmonben and he can tell you about sound cards he's really into them
Feel free to ping him about it.
they do have angled drivers, but i think imma just get the normal ones so they are the same as the older ones plus im just used to it
thank you for helping
@rose walrus have you chosen a new dap?
Yeah, it's nice
Lotoo stuff is fantastic

Not good
trash
for both gaming and music
Okay but overpriced. Get the HS60 Pro Surround (wired) instead and save some money, they sound the same.
Either that or the HS80, only a little bit more money and sound pretty amazing.
I've never had speakers before, any suggestions for what kind I should get for my very crammed setup?
creative pebbles would fit
Well they're the only speakers that can fit under your monitors so they're good enough
Vanatoo t0 and iloud micro monitors are gonna be way better
But idk if they'll fit
the klipsch promedia 2.1 heritage edition would probably fit if you have room for a sub below the desk
They hiss.
bad
🐍
Damn never noticed the 6xx is only $10 more than the 560s
what prices are you looking at
@ocean pulsar any ideas?
imagine eating chocolate, I only eat cocoa bars
the difference: doesn't have all ingredients required to be called chocolate such as milk
vegan chocolate doesn't exist
Here its $230 CAD for 560s and $240 CAD for 6xx
huh
Milk isn't a requirement for chocolate imo
its a legal requirement for it to be called chocolate, so...
its why high cocoa % bars say "cocoa bar"
ofcourse it is different from country to country what % something has to be in there
at least here for example, they can't call oat milk "oat milk", in US I think it is different?
it is infact called oat milk here
I heard the 6xx is kinda crap
its always "soy drink"
"oat drink" etc
and almond milk and cashew milk etc
I mean in EU they can't call it that
but iirc in US they can
There's a lot of regulations on what you're allowed to call stuff.
In America it's kinda funny
For ice cream to be called ice cream it needs to be like, at least 70% cream
Otherwise it's called "frozen dairy product"
ive never seen frozen dairy product
i only see ice cream, gelato, sherbet, or frozen yogurt
ive had cashew ice cream, it was pretty delicious
Water chestnut
couldn't care less about animal products...
if its in it who cares
I am not going to read every single label I come across to avoid 50ml of milk
I used to confuse the two.
god, I hate coconut
I'm not vegan, just work in a vegan restaurant
I am not vegan, I just reduce the amount of animal products I consume on a daily basis
don't need meat every day, neither do I need 500 grams a day
just eat like small piece of fish, or a few pieces of chicken twice or three times a week and the rest just vegetables
meat is eaten for taste and convenience, it's not necessary at all
convenience as in you can compensate for a poor diet by getting complete nutrients from meat
I mean, sort of is if you want to avoid supplementing entirely
but you don't need it for a healthy diet
many eat way too much tho
many eat in a single day enough for 1-2 weeks
most people would be very malnutritioned without it because they have very little food diversity
pretty much
Hi
my daily diet is actually just based on "get all vitamins and minerals at least 150-200% of daily recommendation and all calories needed as efficiently as possible"
I'm just gonna eat bags of chicken and Philly cheese steaks all day thanks
ive never had a good philly
you should try my non human diet
you would like my late-lunch of greek yoghurt, chiaseed, raspberries, honey and olive oil
i dont like chia
We got a new restaurant that just opened this year that sells them and I go there for lunch a lot now
how about consuming 1 liter of straight olive oil in 2 weeks?
not baking, just drinking and spoons of it
yeah id probably gag
efficient way for calories while adding mostly healthy fats tho
Ah I think it was the HD599s actually. Or a massdrop of the 6xx
i kinda want a pure tube amp
its honestly sad how much % of my carb intake is fiber
its like 35-40% or smth
whether it be speaker or headphone i dont really care
an actual tube amp not a hybrid tube voltage class d amp
meze 99 + darkvoice + denafrips ares
I only want one because they look badass tbh. I love Nixie tubes
real
I want to try this so badly...
going to be ass tho
and not the good kind
because it don't exist
Warm on bass on warm
i used my he400se a total of two times
if you don't, why go with closed when open is better
then do that
Just not at once
hd560s and iems
buy those gucci/LV tws or whatever
I want to avoid it just because of the name.. I was thinking moondrop
nah, buy raycon
or delta air
tangzu wan'er
Oh stellaris are planar
i think tangzu sells the best overall planar iem and the best budget dynamic iem
I have galaxy buds pro 2.
I'll look at them
tangzu x hbb wu heyday
tangzu wan'er
i have the original tangzu zetian wu and they work with all my cables and my bluetooth adapters
i dont think the use proprietary cables
Ok
tangzu how bout u and tangzu wan......er?
ironically my moondrop aria and 7hz salnotes zero are more picky about cables/adapters
and those are the "name brands"
i just realized ive been listening to unicorn on ketamine for like an hour
listen to some anime OPs
Stellaris are $50 cheaper than the wu zetian
i wouldnt get the original wu zetian now that the wu heyday exists
it's a direct upgrade
better tuning, metal construction
Is there any wisdom to be had in the realm of headphone storage when not in use (e.g. headphone stands)? I've always just left them on their side on my desk, but I dunno if theres practical benefits to a headphone stand or if those are just aesthetically pleasing.
they'll collect dust over time and maybe deteriorate from light. but thats only gonna be a problem of months or years of storage.
so if you plan on long-term sort of deal, put them in the box they came in
Yeah mostly just thinking in terms of day to day storage between uses rather than anything super long term. I can't think of any reason a stand would matter practically speaking but maybe there was some subtle thing where keeping them vertical on a stand is better. Sounds like stands are just anti clutter though.
Any Soundcore by Anker Q20 life users here?
Yeah I've just got a little desk hook that I put mine on.
Do the hd6xx need a amp to run comfortably? If so, what one should I get?
No
You will be perfectly fine off a apple dongle
Usbc or lightning
Thanks
It does scale but you need more expensive source gear
So just save that for the long term
Yes
i think toslink can only do lossy 7.1
Oh
Are the Sennheiser hd 599 SE any good as headphones? They are on sale for $80.
what are you current headphones
599se has a bit of a bass hump. but. there's nothing blazingly wrong about it otherwise.
another option in that similar price would be the akg k361. and a bit higher would be the hd560s which are gonna be way better than the 599
Hmm perhaps then
Idk i jus figured they were on sale. I am happy with my buds they sound good (to me ive never had better) and I drive them good
Amd i don't even use my pc that much + buds keep hair from getting messed up
If you don't need them, then I'd save for something better
the k361 is also worse than hd560s? I was considering getting those. Was also considering the HIFIMAN HE400SE Stealth
Generally speaking closed backs are worse than open backs.
The 361 is still a good headphone, considering price and all, but it's still a closed back.
Yeah
Sorry, I hadnt the added context. I was planning on the k361 as well as the HE400SE
Would I just be better off getting the 560s?
Probably
The HE400se just isnt very good, you should definitely just go with the HD560
Alright. Locking that in, now if I wanted a good set of iems (in the $100 price range) should I get the Moondrop Stellaris, Starfield, spend more on the Linsoul TANGZU Wu Zetian or something else?
at 100 you have the hexa
however if you already have a good 20 dollar iem you shouldnt upgrade and just wait to jump to 200 dollar range
Yea if you dont then sure, you can get the hexa
or just hold until you can go to 200
your choice
I could finance..
What do you know of up there? Just in case. I dont have a dac yet so I might be limited by that
Moondrop kato, Tangzu zetian wu heyday, timeless
Also a apple dongle is the pretty much the most you will need for iems
Kato probably safest choice
least offensive tuning, best timbre but its still iem timbre, so not the best
I thought the zetian wu was pretty good for a planar iem
I like it over the timeless
The other two look like theyd be fingerprint magnets also slip but the matte steel just looks heavy
Yeah think I found my matches, thanks
have issues with ear gunk so actually need a step back again
Is there anywhere to look for recommend desktop audio? Currently have Logitech Z623's that need the potentiometer but have more sources now. Any advice?
what do you have in mind?
A new pair of speakers 😃
okay. size? price? goals?
Prefer smaller, <$500, replace the Z623, ideally with something that has the ability to switch inputs
vanatoo t0 is small (albeit a bit bigger than what you have now) and has inputs galore
it can switch between them automatically, but it comes with a remote which can do it manually
confirming t0 = transparent zero? want to make sure Im looking at the right thing
thanks, checking it out
alright what in the fuck is happening
i plug a different mic into my interface to test, go back to my sm7b and now all of a sudden its quiet as shit
Have you tried turning it off and on again
I need to look for a Bluetooth speaker (and also a microphone but that's a separate problem) for parties, and I'm not really sure where to begin.
yes
The moment i unplugged the xm8500 and plugged my sm7b back in it got quieter, I can obv put the gain up by 2 or something to help, but the problem is I SHOULDNT have to since I didnt touch my sm7b profile
I love orange amps but I doubt these are good
I wish they would make some nice wired studio headphones
Reviews on the site look good if that means anything, and you can use 3.5mm with them
Sounds like the headband has a failure point after 6m-couple years.
It doesn't
Those look like Chinese OEM headphones. Simple cash grab
Fair
I mean
the sm7b is far more insensitive than the xm8500

I mean, your interface cannot detect what microphone is plugged into it
Your PC ain't gonna swap profiles on its own
Yes, however I never touched the sm7b profile, it stayed at 56db of gain the entire time
you didn't touch your preamp?
Nope, I made an entire new profile for the xm8500 so that I wouldn’t screw with my stuff for the sm7b
what do you mean a profile
You've made a profile for a different device to work properly
Cause I still use the Goxlr so I made a 2nd profile for the xm8500 to fuck with it
Does a mechanism exist for that profile to be engaged when you plug your other device in in to it?
(I'm hinting at this being correct)
I think you just adjusted your headphone's volume
Ahhh, odd
there is no way that the sm7b runs at the same efficiency as an xm8500
something is wrong
I wish, I did, but I actually noticed it on OBS when I only hit a max of -10db on the mic
there is something wrong either with your measurement or your setup
these two mics have different sensitivity levels
maybe in between mics your positioning of yourself has changed
Nope, I keep it a fist distance at all times, I did put the sm7b flat on its exposed cable for a couple mins but that really shouldn’t do anything
It could also just be the goxlr taking a shit on itself but the only other interface I have has like 40db of gain so I cant even use that to see if its the mic or the goxlr
Hey I need help finding a microphone for music production under 50 euros in Portugal, im willing to save more for much better quality
do you have an interface
should I get the hd560s or pc38x for gaming? i dont need the microphone just wondering if the pc38x has better tuning for gaming
I don't believe so
Anyone has here any recommendation for a decent license free walkie talkies that are not super expensive?
but not sure if they are any good, we are going to be driving with 2-3 cars and want to have walkie talkies with each other so we can communicate
how do i play desktop audio through mic
You need virtual audio cables.
downloaded that
i know they arent good from looking at them
sucks cause orange amps are legendary lmao
they're aesthetic is on point too
yo I need this
this is sick
Got some info and I think I might be able to work from this, but I'm not sure. The expected price point is ~$100-$200, and it should fit underneath a table nicely when not in use (the one I was shown for a size example was about 2 feet tall, and roughly the same width and depth, but I suck at eyeballing measurements so that might be off by a bit).
He's back
so after testing, I personally, can hear a decent difference between the sm7b and xm8500, albeit not a $400 difference, but enough to where id rather just keep my sm7b
a pretty reasonable conclusion tbh
if you dont have an sm7b, go for an xm8500
if you already have one, just keep it, you will notice a quality drop
So I got a question probably not technically audio related but what ever is there a sound pad that I can buy so I can play stuff through my mic in game I know the goxlr can do this but I want something with more buttons
I don't think I'd advise anyone to get an sm7b
It's a streamer meme which is terrible for just about 96% of people.
yes dont get one, however if for whatever reason you do have one, just keep it
omg i just now realized how much "normalize volume" in spotify butchers the audio...
it frustrates me so much, cause i just assumed it just brought the volume of loud songs down so i wouldn't blow my eardrums out when one would play after having a more quiet track and louder volume...
literally sell the sm7b and get any condenser in existence, several times better audio quality guaranteed, the point of xm8500 is having less background noise and being 20 dollars
it doesn't though
if you normalize volume to loud then it will
if you normalize to normal or quiet it will not decrease sound quality
whats up bro
I've got Havana syndrome
Is this a fucking bass amp but for a computer lmao
i hope its not for a computer
thats a mobo
yeah I kinda just glanced over it at first
Peak levels of intelligence
been around and goofy since the 60s
My favorite band used orange amps live
Not good at making websites
orange is a very reputable company for guitar gamps
I don't know them for anything else
Yeah
looks like every chinese oem cheaphone
Their amps are great though
even the hinge
I wouldn't be surprised if it came out of the same factory
I wish they made nice studio headphonees
Like the dt990s
I would 100% buy
Those look lame tho
That computer is sick tho
I need to find one
i dont watch ltt
I already use dt990
dt880 >
Also I recommend rode procaster
I mostly listen to music on cassette, 8 track and blown out 20yr old volvo speakers so quality isn't that important
christ

4090 itx build in this
What are good headphones with a built in microphone?
audeze maxwell
Maybe something idk a little cheaper 💀
drop pc37x then
HyperX Cloud
I need help. Do I get 80ohm 990's or 250ohm 990's?
250 ohm DT 880
I knew you would say that
they're ugly af tho
Is someone going to be looking at you wearing your headphones?
Ask in a fashion discord than in here then
pipe down matey
880 look better than 990 imo
Sounds better too
Look at this ugly piece of crap
There is another 990, which looks basically the same as an 880 through that webcam
Ok
hello, so i was asking if i could seperate audio recording when using obs, i want to have my discord calls not recorded and instead only have the in game sound recorded, does anyone know how?
i also have issue with static noise when recording... i did a lil google search and it said that the connection is bad, but i really dont know is there any way to reduce the static sound? i use the voice recorder that is installed in windows machine
the free ones
static is a microphone issue
@trim island i have further questions about your app
unless its electrical interference
how do i get rid of it?
honestly i try everything, i also dont know if its electrical interference or not
its either electrical interference you can treat or electrical interference you can't treat
there is not much reason for there to be noise in a mic
google how to get rid of electrical interference
if it works, nice
I use a goxlr mini with the goxlr software. Not the best budget option. But trust in the people in here
if it doesn't, then you can't treat it
aight thanks for the suggestion then
you have a goxlr?
ill check, i hope its free
No, that's why I said there are better budged options.
you can just use a noise gate
if you don't mind static while you are talking
which if it's anything not loud, shouldn't be noticeable
i dont mind, i just want the recording to be static free
He also wants to split/mix his voice channels per App. Don't know about any free options.
you are producing music?
no, making youtube vides
editing is hard when the ingame and your friends audio colides
what is your mic and interface
you can record tracks separately or a single recording with multiple audio tracks
I forgot how you do it in obs but googling it should help
key word for googling it?
Told you it's possible for cheaper
you don't have the mic?
have him move away the xlr cable from everything else
everything electronical
and use a noise gate in obs
its nemesis NCN07
a what now
its like chinese cheap brand
yeah uh
good luck with that
noise gate and trying to prevent electrical interference is the only way of tackling the issue from what I can tell

google how to fix the latter I don't want to list possibilities for 10 minutes
Lol that mic looks like the generic neewer thing that I have, except it has fancy buttons
it is generic
its p cheap to ig
like 40$ iirc
found the solution hopefully it work
thanks for the suggestion
Any active sub recommendations? For Like under 250€ and in white
that's plenty for a decent mic
why spend it on a random chinese store
it aint random, thats the only thing that is available in here
the review said its decent
but we just have issue with static noise
any idea of what size you want?
general recommendations would be
- kanto sub 8
- jamo c912
idk if either are available in europe i havent looked
Also need to find out how im gonna connect the sub to the amp, got only L/R out
i dont know
reblog if you hate subs with no passthroughs
nah i hate stereo amps with no subwoofer line out
it's the best gaming headset that exists
Well might invest in it
you can do better if youre willing to use an external microphone but if you want a headset then the pc38x is the best
Yea I don’t really want to deal with a microphone and boom arm plus a controller for it and then a headset
which stereo amp has a l/r rca sub line outs
its always mono at most
The pc38x does sound really good though
pc38x is a good choice then
given you don't want to buy a separate mic
where in my message did i say stereo sub out
those subwoofers have stereo inputs
which is dumb
why would you want stereo on a subwoofer
it's not only stereo klaus
it isn't I am aware
most subwoofers have l/r but one port is labeled as LFE or sub in
but are subwoofers even stereo capable
and you can just use one cable
you would just plug a mono cable into the L
and then into the mono sub out on your amp or receiver
I know I am questioning why they are stereo inputs
and why there aren't any passthroughs
the best I can guess it it's for when you have dual subwoofers
even then
which stereo amp has l/r out for subwoofers
i think only avrs support stereo sub
as in using two subs
im glad that the massive influx of class d mini amps with mono sub outs has been happening
all stereo amps should have one
unless it's something niche like a 2w tube amp
the only problem i have with the speaker amp market is that it's annoying to get a highpass crossover for a sub without using a receiver
but if you dont care about splitting the lows out of your main speakers then speaker amps are cheap now
you can get like 50w clean power for very cheap
a lot of the $50-150 class d amps come with optical inputs and remotes too so they work great for using with a tv setup
@molten lotus which mic interfaces should i consider for $300 or less?
i want to replace my focusrite
tbh m track solo is what id say
but if you particularly want something expensive
motu m2
its a great interface if you are dead set on wanting to blow money
yeah im looking to spend a bit of money
im looking at the motu m2 and ua volt
volt because it has an analog compressor
ngl the volt looks cool af
facts
so asked some audio engineers at work, they say i can get a samson c-control, so from interface trs out to c control input, spk a to amp and sub to sub via rca
Any opinions on the soundblaster AE-5 Plus? Might get it, wanna make sure it’s ok
sound cards are not recommended as a whole
waste of money
soundcards are just marketing BS + crappy amp/dac that gets beaten by something 1/10th the cost
Pc37x or pc38x gaming headset?
Higher number is better
except when dt990
When are we getting dt1000
Hey, probably not the best guild to ask this, however..
I just upgraded to a 2500w sub setup in my 2015 Dodge Charger and it is dimming the headlights a ton.
When cranking up the sub, even to just half the volume, I experience headlight dimming even when revving or driving highway speeds, which, from my brief googling, seems to indicate an alternator power issue.
I checked my alternator and it's a 220 amp alternator which should barely suffice the sub amp, however not the door speaker amp and all other accessories. There's no reputable brands that offer an alternator over 220 amps..
Should I just buy into one of the unreputable amazon brands, or is there a better solution?
Here's the brand I am speaking about: https://www.amazon.com/Eagle-High-Alternator-Challenger-2011-2018/dp/B08RSQ2L6R
11574-300 AMP OE Replacement *** picture is stock photo** not sure please ask before purchasing ***** 300 AMPS / 6-GROVE CLUTCH PULLEY *************** Fits ******* CHRYSLER 300 5.7L 2011-18 ************ DODGE CHALLENGER 5.7L 2011-18 **************** DODGE CHARGER 5.7L 2011-18 ************* make s...
It's extremely cheap for what they're offering so I am really skeptical
yeah I did see that but is looks like its just people interested in showing off their cars and not really for questions. Should I just post it there?
1990 is a bigger number
we need 1991 at least
i mean what you are asking about is more about car parts than it is about audio
tru tru
D8000 is the true endgame
Is the drop pc38x gaming headset worth it or should I just get the pc37x?
Ok ok
Hey so I have an AV receiver and a 5.1 setup. My monitor has hdmi 2.0 so I have to use dp to have 120hz hdr, but then if i plug both it detects 2 screens and it's kinda annoying. I don't see it booting because it outputs on av receiver only. if i want hdr it needs to be enable on both display. so is there any better way to do that? maybe usb to hdmi audio? i tried toslink but will do stereo only
im looking on amazon for a good budget wireless/bluetooth over ear headphones with noise cancelling that connects to my phone and can be used on my laptop for when im gaming. im just having difficulty finding what brand is good or how much is good enough? any1 got any suggestions? is edifier a good brand..like idk
also altho i have the money i rather not spend over $100 for like beats or air pods max. im looking for something in the range of like $40 to $50
and want with good earpads
yeah you aren't finding any of that for 50$
Any reason specifically? “Waste of money” tells me nothing
sound cards are outdated
Give me surround because mobo doesn’t
surround is terrible for that period
Mixed speakers
surround will not help you with that at all
you are going to ruin your audio with phasing
is this an av receiver?
you actually need a surround setup to use surround
av receivers are the best way to get surround sound
I am.
so why do you want a sound card for surround
It’s old so doesn’t have tons of features
My mobo output also isn’t doing surround
Just L/R
i think you can get a simple pcie card or usb device that has one optical port
I’m new to this, alright
you can't use surround because of a surround sound card
well you can but it wont aid you in your case
surround audio is transmitted digitally
which you can do via toslink or hdmi generally
you are doing it analog with l/r
even if you buy a sound card with 5 different 3.5 outputs the odds are your receiver doesn't have 5 inputs for that
does your av receiver use optical as its input?
AV thing predates HDMI
I’m using a TOSLINK cable, but the port for that on the board is stereo only
if it does then i think a usb to optical dongle would work okay
Optical or rca
it might be a configuration issue
i think so too
optical should support basic 5.1 or 7.1
Windows speaker properties say that it’s L/R and there’s no options
and your receiver likely doesn't have 5 3.5 inputs anyways so a sound card will be a waste of money
yes that is normal
Receiver is set up as 5.1
the only stuff that uses surround is like
Explain that to me because to me, L/R isn’t surround
he gets bullied in real life dont mind his sass beano
games and movies
music comes in stereo only
except for dolby stuff which is like
rare as fuck
jank anyway
so you are upmixing stereo to sound surround with your receiver
which is what the sound card will also do
I could do direct in for every channel
are you certain your receiver has no hdmi
also no don't do direct input
direct input bypasses surround processing
this thing only has l/r analog inputs anyways
which is again why you wont benefit from the surround card
what
it has optical inputs for surround
Mhm
USB is a mess
they work like garbage
just get a newer reciever with hdmi second hand will be easier. don't buy a sound card
this
you can get a second hand receiver with an hdmi input for the same money a sound card costs
I’d rather not spend on a new receiver
Could get a sound card for $50
so can you get an av receiver
