why do you not want an arm?
using a lapel mic for live computer audio is inconvenient
bad idea
and he cant afford a shotgun microphone
any sound on your desk will transmit through the mic
Yeah I am aware
an arm puts distance between the mic and the desk and it usually helps
also helps position your microphone
They can hear me type
then grab the solo cast
buy jades or smth
or mpm1000u
I don’t want something blocking my view
Hifiman jade
Which is why I am anti boom mic
that never happens
literally
you don't need to shove the mic into your mouth
wonder if hifiman jade is any good, the amp was crap at least
you can place it at the side of your mouth
if your monitors are the recommended distance from your face the arm doesnt block the screen
The only thing an arm needs to do is make sure that your mouth is the closest thing to the microphone. If it's closer to your keyboard or a wall or table, it's gonna sound like ass
Only amp worth getting for Stax is a transformer
Srd-7 or bust
what if he likes ass
Not my business ig
if youre getting into iems then you may want to try the Truthear Hola as a started, it has a very similar profile to the Aria while being 1/4th of the price
Is the Jlab talk any good
that could give you a pretty decent idea of what you're getting into

best budget iem
nearly identical tuning to 7hz salnotes zero but with better build quality
best budget IEM is delta air, 0$, no bloated bass or peaky treble
an iem cable microphone would sound better than a microphone on a desk stand 3 feet away
oh ok thank you
next ad for delta air's buds:
If I have the mic like 1ft away from my mouth
conpin i wonder if their tuning is intentional
if only the included cable was better
Would it still sound alright
since air pressure is very different at flying elevation
it looks fine, wym?
no idea, never been in a plane
iems dont need a thick cable although thick colored cables are pretty
also, you should buy ZMF's edgy limited edition
its quite stiff
link
though its braided

edgelord headphones
i do own salnotes zero though and their tuning is good
only for a bit from a friend
I have both salnotes zero and truthear Hola
$2900 for a closed back dynamic driver is wild
i have kbear ks2, 7hz salnotes zero, moondrop aria, and tangzu zetian wu
open
@unique wind is your pfp your wife?
i wish
I also had the zsn pro but the right BA broke, and the crn but the filters need a change, the 2 pin socket too
the center also open, so..
just a fabric
oh it looks closed thats odd
i thought it was solid wood aside from the vent i screenshotted
also vido blue
so they open back or what
the standard wood looks better
I want a zmf some day, but specifically one of the darker woods
Imma just get a AT2020 USB
Glad we spent 30 minutes helping you get to this conclusion
Yeah but I have heard it’s a good microphone
yeah fair point
It’s even used in a few intel extreme tech upgrades
If it’s good enough for LTT staff ifs probably fine for me
LTT staff doesn't know anything about good audio.
hows planar btw
im planning to get the s12
it's my favorite iem by far
but if you want a planar i recommend this
also bc treble head
best tuned planar iem at the moment and it's made out of cnc aluminum

hbb's tuning is too tame in the upper mids for my preferences
you might like the original zetian wu then
This one?
elevated but not peaky treble
with a shit ton of subbass
yeah pretty much like that
but it doesnt get mushy because planar
i love mine
i use them when i want to listen to really bass heavy music
i use vido for bass heavy music unironically
i kinda like the extra separation
i dont know what vido is
woah
below budget
in the future i might get serratus
I just found the LTT mics under 50 video
I am split between an XM8500 with a cheep XLR to USB box or the fifine
More ohms does mean more sound

K670 is on sale rn
so its basicly the same price as the K669
but which is better
@unique wind you got any input?
Is there such thing as a 3.5 mm extender
my monitor has buzzing with its built in 3,.5mm
but I imagine my motherboard IO wouldn't
Ok yes there is
To stop those Plosives you know what I’m sayin
Yeah this should be fine, if irc the only thing basics does right is non charging cables https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Basics-Female-Extension-Adapter/dp/B01CNAUYBY/
what's a good $50 or less mic for a lot of background noise?
I bought new soundbar, Sony HT-S40R
It 5.1 and here are inputs:
HDMI
Optical
Analog (1x 3.5 jack)
Manual suggests to use arc HDMI or HDMI + optical
Issues is i want to connect it to a pc, i don't have optical input, here are possible inputs:
2x HDMI + DP + 3.5 jack (monitor 1)
HDMI + DP + 3.5 jack (monitor 2)
HDMI + USB 3.2 + USB C + 2x USB 3.0 + 2x 3.5 jack (Mobo)
HDMI + 2x DP (GPU)
(I listed only free ports, except USB C, but i can free it)
Is there possibility for me to connect my sound bar and use 5.1 sound? (5 speakers + subwoofer)
Or am I stuck with 3.1 on Bluetooth
bluetooth only transmits stereo audio
i believe if you have a newer graphics card you can use a hdmi port on it and have it function like arc
anyone have a good amp suggestions for Sennheiser HD 600?
cx31993
i would recommend connecting hdmi directly from the pc to the soundbar and connecting the monitors directly to the pc too
arc requires specific support from the monitor unfortunately
Zahl HM1
That was more expensive then I had even though it would cost
We gave you the cheapest option that works well and one of the more expensive ones
🤷 there are plenty of options between these two prices
Good point
I've been trying to determine what to get but the options are so vast.
it would help if you gave us a budget and some ideas of what you wanted
since, like you said, there's a lot of options
honestly up to 500 or 600 Dollars probably
I'd prefer not having tubes
What do you mean by all in one or a stack?
I prefer a all in one after looking it up
if you're able to afford the extra space, its usually better to get something that is a dedicated dac and a dedicated amp
I could probably do either one
if I had to do an all in one combo it'd be a schiit jotunheim or an asgard with the dac module
otherwise same thing but you can get a schiit modi, or a modius if you wanna do balanced with the jotunheim
Thank You
I'll look into those
Can I Mention you if I have a question after looking at them
sure but i might not respond tonight
That's fine
What cables do i use? Connecting HDMI only doesn't work (system doesn't recognize machine)
Welp that's unfortunate, seems you'll need to figure out the optical connector
But can I let's say convert it to USB ? Will it work?
Yep
It'll be converting USB to optical tho
Check reviews to make sure it allows for surround
Does anyone know if I should store vinyl records upstairs, where it’s 67-74F, or downstairs where it’s closer to 50f?
put it in the fridge?
why is it 50f in your house
it’s probably a basement
how about 50'C like normal humans
I wouldn't worry about this too much
That's just an ideal scenario
At summer times our house can easily be 20-30 celsius, out of tens of our vinyls not a single one is noticably warped
The only ones that we have that are warped are vintage
36-41 celcius here
same
as in ours are also vintage
it usually doesn’t get much hotter than 32c here
not one of them are warped
if you are worried a lot just place them in a tight bookshelf or something
where pressure keeps it flat
or under something
not something too heavy, you don't want to mess up the grooves
if you have a vinyl bookshelf squeeze it in there, it should not warp
They’re standing vertical in crates
last question, do I need the pcv audio adapter
https://www.amazon.com/Massdrop-Sennheiser-PC37X-Gaming-Headset/dp/B084GFGMYT
without is 66.22 with that cable is 121 i don't even know why?
A SENNHEISER STANDOUT, REVAMPED: Based on Sennheiser’s top-tier gaming headsets, our Sennheiser PC37X features the same exceptional audio and microphone quality, with some key tweaks to make it even better and it’s only available from Drop. Made with drivers that are positioned at an angle, which...
do I need the adapter in the first place
maybe
Where are you seeing 66 w/I adapter
It's like 110
if your headphone and mic sockets are separate you will need one
Oh, the used one
that would be on my MB right?
yes
you didn’t include the seller in this picture so we don’t know
laptops often have one input for both
desktops often don't
just plug it in and see if it works
unless you don't need to use the mic
yeah it is used
I know the GameOne came with two cables. A 3m one that terminates in dual 3.5mm 3-pole jacks for PC use and a 1.5m one that terminates in a single 3.5mm 4-pole jack for phone use. You'd use the 1.5m one for Laptops with single headset jacks, while the 3m one is pretty much only useful on PCs with dedicated mic & headphone jacks
If the Drop x Senny is anything like that, it should also come with both cables, no?
Hello everyone! I’m hoping some of you guys can help me out here. I have a ps5 and I’m looking for a decent quality headset to buy. I’ve been looking at a few headsets and I heard steelseries are decent and gets the job done. I can get the Arctis 7p+ for $80 or the Nova 7p for $160. Which one should I get? Or should I look at other headsets? My budget is about $150
I left my amp (magni/modi) on and connected to my sundaras (which i do normally if im only gone for a short time) and i came back like 3 hours later and I was watching some videos using my iems and before i go to bed and I take off my iems i hear a buzzing. I look over and its my sundaras. I go over to see what is happening and they are really hot along with my dac. I turned them off so i will see if anything is broken since i couldn't use them because of how hot they were. Lets hope they are not broken.
Check them using your motherboard output
If your amp is damaged last thing you would want is replugging your headphones to it
best amp wrong answers only
anything klaus suggests
anything michael suggests
hey guys I know razer isn't the best in audio, but is their Razer Hammerhead True Wireless X worth it? (its for 30usd rn)
LED is kinda cool, but its cheap and wanted to know if overall its worth it, in this price range everything else seems sub par and is like kinda dicey
sounds fine after plugging into my computer. However it is like 1-2 degrees shifted to the left wich is annoying. I left my amp on not pluged into anything to see if it would heat up again and it didn't so i dont know if there was just some circit that was completed or what.
I mean, if you need a headset for $30 sure?
It's not gonna be great
if your dac heated up that may have been the issue
amp not dac.
But it's cheap and if something goes wrong razer will probably at least honor the warranty
yeah
you wrote dac so I thought that might have been it
but is there anything else worth getting?
if you have any throwaway headphones try your amplifier again
if its under warranty id contact schiit to have it replaced
better safe than sorry
You're not gonna find a good wireless headset for $30 so
well yeah, but I don't need great decent is fine too
its going to be straight up bad, decent is an understatement
there are quite a few options in my country, I'll ask somewhere else ig
also wireless for 30$ is shooting yourself in the foot
why so
For $30 you can get pretty decent wired iems
If you just want something for podcasts or whatever then anything will work
But for music at that price point wired is gonna be vastly superior
you are buying two 2.4ghz connectors, a dongle, a microphone, led lights, an entire chasis, dac/amp chips, and two drivers for 30$
yes but none of them last long lol, I've gone through 2 wired modules in the past 6 months
and others are worse
Gaming porta pros
buy good ones
ones with replacable wires
95% chance your iem's cables are breaking rather than the iems themselves
not a lot but I'm not having many requirements
Galaxy buds should be around $80 by now?
not good for gaming
buds live are there
if that is his use case
yes, cables break
bad ones do, spend like 70$ on iems and you will get durable ones
oh buds pro is like 60
Buds2 are like $70
I have
but that had been user error
spend 30$ on wireless items and watch the batteries lose their lifespan by 90% in a year
and the sound was average
what did you purchase?
lol
I've had multiple wired headsets I don't exactly remember the exact models
well there is your issue
buying random items for 70$ isn't going to give you a quality build
Wait Klaus are you telling me that cheap shit breaks?
there are select few items in every price bracket that are particularly good
I bought 3 from sony
you may not believe it
but yes
they do
Do you need a mic?
that doesn't say necessarily a whole lot
🤯
well not exactly no, but it would be nice
for every single half decent sony headphone I can mention at least 20 bad ones
and for every good sony headphone- nvm there isn't such a thing
true
Then just get galaxy buds/2/pro/not live
fr man their headsets look so old and outdated now
Whatever is in your price range
That's not the live
I see
are you looking for wireless tws or a gaming headset?
buds 2 is like
and will you use them for gaming
200$
not heavy
will you use the microphone while gaming
just need to know which side the audio is from lol
barely, i have a laptop mic that is good enough so no
you see, tws don't use stereo while using the mic
and heavily downscale the audio so they can transmit mic audio
Where do you live
India
so if you use the tws mic, it will sound terrible while it is activated
Ah
Indian taxes
buds pro are cheap
yep
Buds pro are pretty good
ye, i was interested in nothing too
but their ear 1 is not for sale
and stick is
well
idk
Nothing iems are kinda eh anyways
The phone is decent, but probably wouldn't bother with the earbuds
you can't really say that
since you have different ears than almost everyone
while it isn't absurdly different, some iems fit some people while others don't
I haven't seen any vaguely audiophile sources say that the nothing buds actually sound good so
I assume they're pretty average
buds are alright
ye
but most people say they fall out when exercising etc
it may just it be not fitting them
thats my main issue with iems
same
perhaps
my ears are fucking cursed
istg same here
it works if it works
I use it because it fits me better
Depending on the implementation of usb-c on your phone
though I can't make a definitive comment since I tried only several eartips
You could also just get wired iems and a dongle
none of which are particularly good
id also vouch for what he said regarding wired iems
no tws is going to beat arias
but you wont have anc and other features
if you want you can buy tws adapters for somewhere between 40-90$ to make any 0.78 2pin or mmcx iem wireless
arias with tws adapter lel
arias overrated
that doesn't make sense
$20 DD iem in a metal casing sold for $80
It's not like those tws adapters are small
by that point use an mp3 player lol
they are quite small save for the case
and contrary to using a glorified mp3 player they don't have wires
Which is, y'know, how you actually carry them around
depends what you’re wearing
If you're going to be using Bluetooth and giving up tws features anyways, you might as well get a better dac/amp
i’m not advocating for a dap to be clear that’s not a comparable solution
tight jeans are cringe
if you can't put your utws5 into your pocket because of tight jeans you deserve it
stop being facetious
I don't know what that means but no
it means intentionally dramatic
If you can carry around tws adapters, you can also just fit a btr5 and iems
yes but why would you
Which will probably sound (slightly) better
I have headphone jack
if you’re gonna use your iems wired anyway just bring a usb c to 3.5mm dongle and forget the dap
this
So is carrying around a big ass case for the utws
its not as annoying as having wires
Then just use that
also you have pockets
never buying a phone without one
pant pockets
back pocket
hoodie pocket
coat pocket
coat inner pocket
if you are running out of pockets by carrying a 7cm case its simply a skill issue
i use the big velcro pockets for the case
I don't want wired iems anymore ngl
The inconvenience doesn't seem from having wires
It's having wires connected to your phone
it’s not comfortable in the primary pockets
it does come from having wires
having wires connected to any device that you have to carry is the problem
Nah
If they're just on your body it's fine
for me charging devices feels more like an inconvenience
and if you don't do that they can get stuck on anything
Then just
Put them between your shirt and a jacket
range anxiety
Then you have a wire there?
It's still not up against your body
i don’t understand the debate anymore
No?
What are you getting wires stuck on
it started off as DAP vs UTWS5 and now it’s just “use wired iems”
How
if I didn't have any issues with a wire being tugged on shit why would I complain about having them in the first place
Are you the least coordinated person to exist
Are your iem cables all 6 feet long
what do you guys think about removable mics on some earphones? as a concept they look interesting
i broke so many dongles by having my phone in my pocket with wired earbuds in
and if i raised my head up it’d yank on my phone
maybe it works well if you’re a little guy
Yes
That's why Bluetooth adapters are great
You can clip them onto a pocket
I have used my headset which had a 1.8m wire and that wasn't an issue
headsets are one thing
And then the wire doesn't move every time you do anything with your phone
wired iems whilst outside is another
nah i’ll just use my utws5 which have quality amplification without wires
this
Whats the best wireless earbuds? (like Samsung/Airpods as main examples)
Looking for buds for the gym ^
ah iems overlooked that
airpods pro 2
At that point just use regular tws
no
Do you personally have those?
if by best you mean the best sound, its a wired iem with tws adapters
aren't airpods shit sound quality?
I used my brothers and for the price they were bad imo
if by best built in tws you mean most convenient and decent one with all features
airpods 2
they cost like 600 bucks here
I want comfort and convenience
the pros
go for the pros 2
airpods pro 2
If you're gonna sacrifice sound quality anyways
You might as well get noise cancelling, ambient, and actually pocketable cases
you aren't sacrificing sound quality
i’m not sacrificing sound quality you numpty
why do you think that utws5 sound worse
my music is compressed anyway
you have clearly never used them
i use spotify
bluetooth works fine for 320kbps spotify
and the amps in the utws5 are good
spotify very high audio is already equivalent to 320kbps mp3
Size
Price
and between 320kbps and lossless is a very very minor difference
neither of these affect sound quality
Then just
Use regular tws?
how much do you think the utws5 costs bro
They absolutely do
that also doesn't make sense
why settle for bad audio
not like the utws5 sound bad
they don't
Wait till you see how small and cheap the dac is inside the tws
he can’t comprehend that just because the case is annoying to him that they can’t work for me
if it did he1 would be the best headphones
Yeah, you also don't buy tws for the sound quality
I just think it's a weird compromise
I don't think we are getting through
there’s no compromise
it isn't a compromise
You don't get the features or convenience of actual tws
you do
i don’t like noise cancelling
But you also don't get the full sound quality of proper iems
and utws5 have pass through
only thing you miss out on is anc
yes you do
you also get that
iems don’t benefit from lossless anyway
this
and even if they did
I don't care about lossless I can barely tell it apart
320kbps iems of your choice still shit on a random tws
in terms of frequency response tuning
only real compromise here is active noise cancelling
It's a weird compromise to pay the exact same for worse sounding earbuds that are less durable and less customizable.
but you trade that with actually good sound
Tbh a decent seal with music playing is gonna get you 80% of the way there
better tell that to samsung
If you get etys you can get 110% of the way there
What?
I can unfortunately
They're also significantly smaller, which makes them vastly more convenient, get you like 80-90% of the sound, probably have better microphone arrays, and likely better features
WHAT?
to the point where breathing and swallowing is uncomfortable
i went back to using silicone tips
idk why nils is having a breakdown
less fish bowl
Do you have super shallow eardrums or something
i dunno
i am super shallow in your mom
i’m not sure that’s a flex klaus
what does any of this mean
uncomfortable as in they become super loud
not that they cause physical discomfort
Anyone have Final audio iems here ?
no you just hear yourself breathing
which is annoying
no i mean that the sound of me breathing or swallowing is substantially louder than normal
Ah
It is nice to stash them in a tiny pocket and slip them in and out real quick. I swapped to APP's for a few months and came back to the q5k. The conveniences get outweighed by the fact that I can choose any headphone for any occasion wherever I want.
Anyone heard of Final Audio here ? 💀
yes
yeah i don’t like them
Is that like final fantasy
Yeah, we're specifically talking about the tws adapters
I might get utws5 just to compare them with q5k
I doubt I'll be able to tell the difference
I have the E3000, I love them, the sound signature is more my taste, warm, good mids, punchy bass
But they should sound worse, just volume/price wise
What about them do you not like
so hard much inconvenient
I just like the functionality of the q5k
ayo michael has hands
That thing is huge
Based cargo pants wearer
I'm not wearing cargo pants just for iems
Jesus how big are your fingers
can confirm
its literally 2/3 of the size of michael's thumb
i bought him shoes for christmas
are your fingers shorter than your thumbs
they’re size 6 women’s
for a case, that looks a bit bigger than standard but yeah its still small
Now I'm not a math guy
but
how is skull candy?
bro thats so huge
how much did you have to lift at the gym to carry those
yeah
i worked my way up to 80lb dumbell curls before i could lift the case klaus
yes that is his thumb
wow you must be very strong
Normal tws cases fit in coin pockets
Or can be tossed into other pockets with other shit
So?
stop having feminine pockets
It's not like I'm gonna be critically listening to music while I'm outside and all I care about is hearing something other than cars
you were the one that was defending using btr5 over utws5 for the sake of sound quality for 15 minutes
I just think that tws adapters are a weird compromise
what a quick change of opinion
They're huge
But they don't even get you the advantages of tws
They're for people who are allergic to tucking cables into their shirt
they work well
they are not huge
fits in pocket
they are bigger than the regular tws case
and they give you the ability of not having to use wires
plus i use them on my computer too with aptx adaptive
that’s the reason i got utws5 to begin with
so your iems don't get yanked out of your ears and you can comfortably use them in the geam
allows me to take on and off my mask while wearing them
50ms bluetooth iems on computer
it’s great
wireless computer audio that isn’t ass
i forget i’m even wearing them
I mean
Windows Bluetooth is
yeah you need an aftermarket bluetooth transmitter
fixed in later versions of 10 and 11
windows 11 bluetooth seems like an improvement tho
one that supports aptx adaptive
why don't you finish that statement and I absolutely meme on you
my computer bt receiver broke
i use a creative bt-w4 but there are cheaper ones that will give you aptx adaptive
Shit
Terrible
Extremely annoying
which is 280kbps 50ms or 420kbps 80ms
automatically switches based on content
i can’t perceive any delay when playing games
seethe cringe cope
i wouldn’t use them without aptx adaptive though you’ll be stuck with SBC protocol
anyone who thinks windows bluetooth is good should be banned from using wireless technology
which is like 200ms
anyone who doesn’t understand how bluetooth works can’t give their opinion
its more related to your bt receiver than it is related to windows
it’s entirely related to that
most people just use the bluetooth that’s bundled in with their wifi card
it is also related to the windows bt drivers but they work alright
which will only support SBC protocol
yeah
it's functional
that's about the best you can say of it
not even
what about it is dysfunctional then
you say they are bad, how?
the creative bt-w4 is recognized as a wired output device in windows
you don’t interact with the windows bluetooth menu at all
you select it like a wired device
for one thing, the codecs supported are usually shit
range is often worse than phones
again that has to do with your transmitter not windows
you’re ignoring me whatever fuck off
yeah, if for some reason you've decided to buy a higher quality transmitter that works, sure
i hate when people are so confidently wrong and ignore when i try to help
michael I have discovered incredible information
what’s that klaus
the 2$ bt receivers that don't support aptx, don't run aptx
also
I understand buying a $30-50 bluetooth transmitter for a computer even less than buying tws adapters
how else am i going to wireless low latency in ear monitors on windows
it’s the only solution that exists right now
i fucking hate bluetooth it sucks
but there’s nothing else for now
I mean, I guess
there is
I just use wires?
but no one has adapted to it
what a loop
if intel could put decent bt in their shit that'd be cool
they’d have to pay for a license to put it on their cards
yeah, and it's not really worth it
and considering like
i mean why would they
for like, the three people who are gonna want aptx on their laptop
you wont be buying a cpu to have bluetooth
0.0001% of people even know what aptx adaptive is
they’re not gonna do that
i love my creative bt-w4 though it’s very unobtrusive
it doesn’t need anything installed on windows and you use it like a wired output
automatically pairs when i take the utws5 out of the case
never have to manually connect or pair
feels like using a dedicated 2.4ghz dongle
hm
utws7 is supposed to have anc
pog
for real?
didn’t know they were making a new one
big if true
might be time for klaus to upgrade
i’m gonna keep my utws5 they have the adaptive that i want
apparently utws5 doesn't fit blessing 2 properly
unfortunate
oh wait
that might be fake
fiio has not actually announced anything, which explains why that's the only result
there are some iems where they don’t fit well
yeah its a meme
the salnotes zero don’t fit well
says so on the post
but the salnotes don’t fit with most of my cables so it’s a salnotes problem
shit iem tangzu wan’rer is better
apparently the 2-pin utws5 can't deal with recessed at all
I would not describe blessing 2 connecters as recessed
dremel issue
so I guess it's just flat as fuck
the laptop i want is pricy
but it's the cheapest one that meets all my requirements
$1600-2200
Budget: $130 - $150
Requirements: Good battery, Fast charging, ANC
Type: Over the ear/ on the ear
Extras: would be great if the headphones are comfy for ears and head support since it's over the ear. Bass quality.
n700nc m2
Apart from this?
I disencourage other options
but if you prioritize anc over sound quality then bose qc45
though they don't last very long
well
they may not last very long
Sound quality very important
then you wont be beating n700nc m2 when it comes to built in wireless
not in terms of sound at least
except for maybe with ananda bt or hifiman devas, which don't have anc
That's around $325 expensive AF(of course it's bose, Still out of budget).
$320 again
bruh where the hell do you live
Are you looking for a gaming headset?
he isn't
i wouldn't recommend bluetooth for gaming
Not exactly. But gaming would be like a temporary thing.
What happens when you clear away the noisy distractions of the world? Concentration goes to the next level. You get deeper into your music, your work, or whatever you want to focus on. That’s the power of Bose QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones II. Put them on and get closer to what you’re most ...
bt for gaming can be bad, especially if you plan to use it's microphone whilst doing so
cursed
anyways like i said
in terms of sound n700nc m2 is better than it anyways
why still look at bose
Please send a link. I am not able to find it on Amazon
Because of the brand name I believe
I think it’s sold out on Amazon
bose is just straight up bad
Cuz you suggested 😄
aNY OTHER ALTERNATES?
websites I mean
idk try ebay or something
Maybe try their website
Select from a full line of over-ear and on-ear headphones that are comfortable to wear, and feature AKG’s signature sound.
Other than that eBay would probably be the only other option
Ebay is shit
Yea I don’t really trust eBay when it comes to electronics
why not
you have full coverage on ebay
Also how about soundcore Q30 and Q45?
bad
very
if you can't find anything else go with the sony xm3 headphones
or xm4
I really dislike them but
if all of the previous options are unavailable
may as well consider them
or go get tws
I think those are probably out of his price budget too
Which one?
Sony, BOSE, ATH these are definitely out of my budget
Not the best but these are probably the best option that’s within your budget

Those are terrible
yeah id rather buy the xm3
I know but he has a budget of $150
but tws @formal cliff
or else you will be shooting yourself on the foot
Yea so would I but like he said, it’s out of his budget
Only good thing about buying it from Amazon is that if he doesn’t like it, he can return them and get something else
They're terrible for $150.
?
buy true wireless in ears
if all of the items I mentioned are unavailable
the odds of you having good audio for that much is unlikely
Aren’t most headsets these days? I have yet to find something that’s decent and well built for under $200
he400se
hd560s
dt880hm
k612
That won't workout for me. Biggest fear is that I'd loose it while commuting.
you wont
well you might
but it is unlikely for you to drop them somewhere if they fit your ears well
get tws adapters, they generally hook around the ears, very difficult to lose
There was another brand, I saw them selling headphones for $900😳
is it b&o or something
anc is not nescessary if you have good enough tips
Something like that with a '&'
$100 headphones with $100 wireless adapter.
literally anything with foam tips would work well
I do
it doesn't
also you can't disable passive noise isolation or have a transparency mode
tbh I don't care for either of those but he might
Transparency mode is goated.
there are clear advantages to good anc over passive isolation but different people different priorities
But ksc75 come with it built in
What's passive and active noise cancellation?
passive isolation is just plugging your ear with in ears
anc is actively cancelling sound
And uses power.
For active noise cancelling put batteries in your ears
or it's acid
Top 😂
beware I will not be responsible for any damage done
There's a term for it called deafness
Gonna try that battery example
anyways I can't help with 150$ over ear anc wireless headphones but if you want to alternate to tws iems then galaxy buds 2/pro or airpods pro 2 are decent options
only fine ANC over ears are the quiet comforts and N700NC (not that N700NC has good ANC)
anyone know any software similar to realtek audio console thatll work with a DAC, since windows no let me bass boost :(
talking about this software*
equalizerapo
?
yah off sourceforge
could also try FxSound
Is that amd software
no
equalizer apo has no latency as its using the windows built in processing
FxSound has alot worse reviews compared to equalizer
Compare Equalizer APO VS FxSound and find out what's different, what people are saying, and what are their alternatives
might wanna read through it, thats just a quick glance
fx sound enhancer is the old one
ah
i will try apo now though]
my headphones just sound so flat without a EQ
quite far away almost
What headphones
beyer dt770 pro 250 ohm
i mean it sounds fine mostly without, just want to boost the bass a bit and make the highs sparkle more
Famously flat headphones.
yes
it does
you are just using it wrong
but switching to eq apo is a better choice anyways
im running dt880s
ironically the build that klaus recommeneded
What did he recommend
dt880s, ifi zen air
dt880s probably
250ohm 880s
Please tell me you didn't buy anything Klaus recommended. We let him recommend stuff as a joke
/J
it was him and like 2 other dudes
I don't think I would have said to get the ifi zen air unless you have cash to blow for the dt880 250ohm
its a good item but I don't think it is worth getting for the dt880
250s can be run off anything.
zen air sounds good
im assuming you werent joking when you said get 880s with a zen air then or?
eh
aight
even so, im just messing around with apo to see what i can do
im assuming this graph is showing what my headphones are outputting?
the red shows how incorrectly you are eq'ing your item
you should just watch a tutorial
Nothing wrong with that setup imo.
So don't worry I was just JK'ing
if something is red
you are doing it wrong
you also did it with the realtek eq except it didn't have the capacity to show red
basically
if you want to emphasize a frequency, you don't eq it up
you either eq it up, and then add a negative dB preamp equal to the maximum dB your eq is to put it below line level
or instead of eq'ing it up, you eq everything else but that frequency down
ah
if you’re adding 5db of bass add a -5db preamp filter
so everything needs to be below that line in the graph
that makes sense yes
add a low shelf filter if you want an easy preset for bass
yeah
also although maybe too much, the zen air has an xbass function
that may be to your liking
yeah ive had that running
i listen to songs with unholy amounts of bass so
want more
uh
not sure how well that would work out
even if you add 50dB bass, there is a physical limit your headphones
yeah ive seen that, where they start clipping yes?
yeah, though the clipping with the prior eq setup might have just been you putting bass above line level instead of adding a - preamp
I don't think you will find much benefit from xbass combined with apo but who knows
meh
if you’re looking for skullcandy bass it’s not gonna happen on dt880s
it gives an impression like it has lots of bass
ah
stuff like dejavu by caspa more accurate for it?
go listen to this as an example of what deep bass sounds like
since ive had that shake the living hell out of my sub
running a subwoofer you can easily have like
30dB bass
hows that for testing
good for testing
i am changing the EQ but do not hear any difference
for a 3db boost
i think its morely down to what your able to do with this, since this seems to be hella customisable
thinking of gettin dt990 to upgrade from my cloud IIs. What amp should I get? O2 is discontinued?
it’s extremely customizable
ive figured
yeah
then you have set it up incorrectly
dt880 250ohm is a direct upgrade
to the 990
and you shouldn't be getting an amplifier
did you add this to the config.txt
i checked the boxes with the config and rebooted
even says its apo installed
add this to your config.txt
and select headphones.txt in it
anything not included in the config.txt is not active
boot the configurator
okay, so for the boosting im assuming for the gain i do on the bass, i should drop the overall gain?
so if +3db boost on bass, -3db boost overall
that makes sense oaky
