i still love the absurdity of the board i use as server
the upper two x16 slots are x16/x0 or x8/x8 from the CPU. The bottom slot is also x8 electrically - from all the lanes they stole from other functions from a chipset. Yes, the chipset to CPU link is only x4, but for example for a 2.0 or 3.0 x8 card this is still a reasonably usable slot.
They nerfed the SATA port count (only 4), they nerfed one of the M.2 slots (only 4.0 x2), but on other side it got a U.2 x4 connector, another 4.0 x4 M.2 slot and even a x1 slot 😄

on x3d it can actually improve gaming framerates depending on what your timings were at g1 speeds
