i have found specific settings for when you need to load a MoE model to relatively low amount of VRAM. Got Qwen3.6-35B-A3B to load into <5GB of VRAM usage and good speed on my 4080 Super - does ~700t/s prompt processing and ~50t/s token generation. Did it because friend had only a 12GB 4070 Ti.

the issue is that the typical model layer has sections which need GPU performance for vector calculations, but huge part of the model is good for CPU vector calculations too. Normal offloading offloads the whole layer. Meanwhile with these options, you split the layers so you split the layer and offload the sections which will do fine on CPU
