To my understanding from experience, digital is better than analog... When you want every selection and preset under the sun to have at your disposal without needing that much hardware.
While on the flipside, digital is worse than analog because every flipping manufacturer and software dev takes that concept way too far and now you have tons of bloated systems you need manuals upon manuals to figure out, and don't even get me started on software.
