But one thing I will not complain about with my 96GB kit is that I can have a billion tabs open on two different browsers, plus a game, plus whatever else and I never have to worry about RAM usage. Yeah, I would always rather have too much ram than not enough. That's not to say you should waste your money upgrading your ram if you don't actually need it (even ignoring current ram prices). And it is certainly true that you definitely want to get the fastest (and tightest timed) ram you can that's both within your budget and able to be handled by your CPU/MOBO. It's all a balancing act.

I only went with this kit because the price was good at the time for what it is and when I build my next PC in a year or two I will be taking this kit out of my current build and putting it in the next one (and then just using a lesser ram kit for my old build if I keep it). Sure, I'm not using it to its full capacity, but maybe one day I will.

And I especially would rather have too much ram in two sticks. Sure, if you need to upgrade you could use four sticks (if you get the same kit), but it doesn't perform as well as just using two sticks in gaming and what not, unfortunately.]

I actually really hate how using four sticks in a regular dual channel motherboard is less stable.

On AM5 X3D chips, 1dpc (regardless of rank count) you can run 6000mt/s just fine, at 2dpc with single rank you're looking at more like 5600, or even 5200 if you get unlucky, with dual rank you'll probably see 5200 or maybe even 4800 if you get really unlucky

Sometimes you can run 6000 2dpc, but i wouldn't expect that

usually if you get 6000 2dpc to work it's at looser timings

though X3D is also less affected by memory speeds since it has the extra L3 cache
