youre putting a lower margin connector on the psu side with no airflow and then likely subjecting it to tight cable bends that make it even worse

it's probably going to be totally fine if youre not using a 4090 or 5090 but i still dont like it

it's unnecessary, Corsair SF1000 is still the best SFF PSU afaik and it uses EPS on PSU side

the backplate on my 5090 right behind the power connector gets up to ~86c if i let it use 750-800W and reach steady state

the cable and connector itself dont get that hot, but the solder joints connecting to the PCB, and the backplate behind the connector get hot

Oh so now Im curious, this 12v-2x6 to 2xPCIe does not have the plastic matching up properly to the psu side on the pcie slots, but these PCIes fit perfectly into the included PNY 5070ti adapter

By all accounts, corsair says it matches up and would be compatible, but the PCIes physically would not fit into the slots

you’ll have to start with an EPS12v to dual PCIE cable on your PSU, then use the adapter into your GPU

double adapting is pretty silly but that’s how it is unfortunately

EPS and PCIE both have 8 power/ground pins, 12v-2x6 has 12 which is what you’re holding
