If you mount it on the back I think the performance should be the same since the cooling are is the same too

It’s fine. It makes anywhere between 0.1 and 1c difference depending on your overall build

Keep it on the front and don’t put it to the back. If you remove the front and put it on the back you’ll get a 1-2c higher temperature as the down draft from the front fan helps for cooling the base
