I don't know man. It might not die as much as the 14900K (from anecdotes and other stuff I've seen), but it's still sketchy. I know plenty of people have had their CPUs die either way. Other thing that sucks is that I bought the 13900K just after it came out and there's no way of knowing whether my CPU is affected by the oxidation issue since Intel refuses to release any information on CPUs that may be affected other than the issue started sometime in 2022 (probably) and was fixed by earlyish 2023. My CPU was made in 2022. I wouldn't hate the CPU if it weren't for all of Intel's other bullshit even ignoring the issues.

I hope you're right. Just waiting to see if it's fine until my warranty is up in the next two years. Last thing I will say about this is that the thing is, back before the Microcode updates at one point I had the "Lack of VRAM" crashing issue (that was linked to instability and possible degradation), but it was awhile back. At one point I switched out my ram to my current kit and I didn't realize at the time that my kit was too fast for my motherboard so I had a bunch of instability issues until I replaced my motherboard. I can't recall if I had the "Lack of VRAM" issue during that time, or if the microcode/Intel Default Settings fixed that issue. Can't remember enough to be able to say. What I will say though is that literally just today I turned off the intel defaults for the Asus multicore enhancement just to test something specific out real quick in benchmarks and that did cause Cinebench R23 to crash immediately when trying to do a multicore test (that was fixed when going back to defaults). So this is what I mean about the whole, "not trusting the hardware" thing that sucks about this whole situations. Crashes could have been caused by any number of other things, but the whole situation and Intel's handling of it causes people (rightfully or wrongfully) to get paranoid about their hardware. Whatever, we'll see what happens ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It's really fucky though, and DDR4 (and I assume DDR5) is more stable than some older generations of ram were as far as ram mixing goes. But either way it's so heavily dependent on the sticks.
