so it probably does seem like my best course now is to enable a 6000mhz profile and sit tight until i can afford an AM5 upgrade

im guessing the gaming performance difference between 6000mhz cl32 and 6400mhz cl32 is so small it probably wont mean anything to me

what AM5 board would you guys recommend that plays well with 6400mhz? especially if i might wanna get into overclocking in the future?

I think this cpu just really likes 40 Ohm Pull Up

I also upped VDDP by 50mv at the same time but

I think it's mainly pu resistance because that 40 vs 43 Ohm was the difference between stable and not on the Gene

based on this chip, I think gear 2 ryzen really requires you finding proper PU and PD resistances

and it's a per cpu thing. The Gene just happened to default what this cpu likes
