it looks like because acer only shipped it with 800mhz FSB cpu's, they artificially locked the chipset to 800mhz, meaning any 1066mhz cpus will have their frequency cut and will be slower than 800mhz cpus

but i ran the bios through a microcode reader and it does support just about every mobile c2d and c2q

it's just that the clock speed of the c2q would be so bad that it would be a worse experience

been having noticable issues with it again for the past couple days. figured out whats happening. Windows 11 in its infinite wisdom is deciding to lock my IDE's backend process (Jetbrains Rider) to e-cores only, and apparently also my web browser, and music player, and fucking windows itself.
this wouldn't be much an issue if the e-cores weren't pinned from it, with the p-cores basically fucking IDLE
this is win11 24H2, otherwise fully updated, on a 12700k, id expect better from it, and because im not setting affinity every fucking time, im just disabling the e-cores now
