For a laptop id only rec an external maybe (can be more or less depending on need) 128gb nvme + usb to nvme adapter for sanity and troubleshooting down the road

Then can set the other ssd as boot priority in the bios to swap back and forth. And or a usb stick for extremely temporary use that can corrupt at anytime or last years

Then lastly being sure you check where things download to as you go. To not put anything in your windows partitions accidentally
