Now my question was this: does this damage my monitors in any way to turn them off and only turn them on when I use them? I have an OLED and an LCD screen.

If they are "Monitors", as in not TV's being used as monitors, it has standby. Windows has a setting thats on by default for Screen turn off time. When windows hits that timer and stops sending an image to the monitor, it will go into standby using a trickle of power.

And the second the PC turns back on and sends an image again, they pop to life.

Now the PC itself, the PSU switch.. really only ever meant to be used if you're working inside the PC or moving it. While the PC is setup where it lives, there is zero need to ever touch the PSU's on/off switch.

Personally, I've used worn Kailh gray inserts, TTC gold and TTC gold "dustproof"
the worn kailh was basically free scroll with the faintest amount of notch
the ttc gold basically felt like scrolling on gears. It also lasts the shortest
Right now I'm using the "dustproof" variant which adds a blue cover over the scrolling gear insert
Tactility is much less pronounced than the og gold, and so far it lasted longer than the og

You might get unlucky and bought some that's in a batch with poor quality control. That's the fact when buying commodity parts like this
So buy like 5-10 pcs as backup

If an AIO is too loud, its either broken or you don't know how to set it up. They are not plug and play.

Why air coolers are suggested for beginners but they all think AIO's are cooler for some reason

In fan control you do "assisted setup" and it sees RPM on any fan header and sets it up, you are missing that

You likely have the "control" and "reference" headers mixed up on the hub
