Hi im trying to get a cpu to have lower temps when testing multicore in cinebench r23, its a 9950x3d and ccd0 (vcache one) is reaching max 87 degrees and ccd1 is reaching max 95.4. I have ccd0 offset to -5 and ccd1 offset currently at -12. The cooler is a 420mm aio arctic liquid freezer and the cinebench score is consistently above 44k. Am i doing something wrong
No it is not my pc and yes i have never touched overclocking or undervolting. I had the x3d turbo thing enabled in bios and was confused why only 8 cores were showing up for like 20 minutes

So when you talk undervolting there are two real topics - volts/boost, and heat
by default if you undervolt you are telling (asking) the CPU to run its PBO/boost algortihm with less voltage
So it does reduce heat because maybe you are saying "instead of default 1.3v to do X frequency, try 1.275v"
So yes it does keep heat down but not how you expect
It keeps heat down and so the CPU ends up boosting more/higher
you have a 420mm AIO why are you worried about heat?

Just installed it ive only ever used air and between the cinebench score and the llm sounding the alarm about 95 degrees because it was insisting 89 is the limit for anything with x3d in the name - i was yeah haha

It will literally boost until it hits 95C
by default, with ordinary cooling, the CPU will boost up and keep going until it hits 95C
The only way to keep it from hitting 95C is with really, really good cooling
OR, limiting it with a PBO temp mode
If you go into your BIOS and enable PBO you should see something like PBO Level 1 90C, Level 2 85C, etc.

If it runs its likely stable enough
but you should try OCCT for stability
The "problem" with PBO/CO undervolting is that you actually have stability issues at idle ,not load
so its when the CPU transitions from doing work to chilling out, the volts drop too much and the system crashes
So fixed all-core workload is usually fine, its light single core/transient workload that suffers
