when i bought parts for my old (new) pc, i bought 2 kits of 2x16 7200 ram, then it turned out that mobo does not support that, i kept it to wait until it is supported. Spoiler - still not on qvl.

Question - i see that it supports 2x32 6800
Can i add to my 2x16 7200 installed kit another kit (identical) and then just lower them to 6800mhz xmp profile? Or 4x16 @ 6800 != 2x32 @ 6800?

What about the CAS latency? If those are the same you shouldn't really have an issue running at the lower Mhz
