For perspective I am a director and VFX artist who needs basically max capacity ram and needs to work with very intensive files. My pc has been at its limit for a while, and im basically figuring out what I need to be doing.

I have figured out I need to purchase myself a scratch drive to read my files fast, but that only solves one of my bottlenecks.

I currently have a i5 13600k, RTX 5070ti, 64gb RAM. Ideally I want to upgrade my ram to 192gb or further once its affordable, but there is many caveats to that with only a dual channel motherboard which I currently have, z790-s.

I am very unfamiliar with the types of processors such as threadripper and xeon, and the motherboards they use.
