Hey guys, I need a quick opinion before I do something stupid 😅
I have a new motherboard (Gigabyte Aorus X870 Elite WiFi7) and I noticed that one pin in the LGA1700 socket looks slightly bent.
I tried seating the CPU (Intel chip) about 2–3 times because I wasn’t sure if I was aligning it correctly.
Now that one pin looks a bit off, but it’s not touching any others and everything else seems fine.

I’m scared to install the CPU because I don’t want to short anything or damage the board.

Do you think it’s safe to mount the CPU and test it, or should I take it to a repair shop to have them check the socket alignment?

So i ran multi core cinebench, temps averaged at 83 celcius which is around what's expected of my CPU when it's running full tilt, i also got a score of 40850
