3090 was a 1.5k card, same with gigabyte 5090's, if they overengineer the cooling with thicc heatpipes, vapor chamber, dense fins, why cheap out on a part that doesn't cost that much

Yeah, owned a 3090FE, worked just fine stock and for any normal user that just installs it and uses it. The uber-enthusiast who even looks at temps is the minority they weren't catering towards. As long as it functioned, and it did, i owned one, it was fine.
