point is that E3-12xx v5 and higher (Skylake and higher) require C series chipsets (like C232/C236 for Skylake/Kabylake). You can't run E3-12xx v5 and v6 on H110-Z270 boards. And while you can run Core i series CPUs on C series boards, you can't OC them

i have a bunch of FLAC files on my jellyfin server, i basically always set it to stream them as 320k mp3, because meh on the difference.
if they were/are using low bitrate as their "high" then yea, there can be some difference, but that means it was kneecapped from the get go

and yes my DAC/AMP/headphones/etc are good enough, its not a problem of a shitty output device making it no different

I mean the single core performance difference between the 9800x3d and the 9950x3d is negligible, and the multi core performance doesnt appear to have a massive gap either from what I can tell, the difference is really in the number of cores, which from what I heard can have an advantage in 3d software and video editing. Im wondering if it'll be worth returning my 9800 and pay an extra 300 dollars for a 9950
