Out boards have 6 nvme slots, and we can populate all of them without causing the gpu to hit x8.

Most boards offer the cpu m.2 and then some other number of chipset slots

Some have 2 cpu slots, depending on the chipset, and then additional chipset m.2

(Ie: x670e and x870e offer 4 extra lanes for an extra m.2 usually)

I have 4 drives, using the chipset and 8 5.0 PCIE lanes on an x670e and 2 on the chipset. It’s about 14TB of space.

I get you on the “drives that don’t count”, I don’t keep my 2TB 990 pro mounted most of the time, it’s NTFS and has backups of stuff I pull off as needed.

it kinda already is tandem in its own different way

they use a multi stack of blue+green oled material that shines light through the quantum dot subpixels

but it cant be tandem in the same way that the rgb oled ipad is because theyre too different

rgb oled is direct view because youre looking directly at the subpixels producing their own light
