oh well, RIP, the friend who was selling me the 2x32GB + 2x16GB + 1x8GB SODIMM DDR4s for 160 euros found out that one of the 32GB modules is dead. And while PSUs provide such cables, it is alway better to go with two cables, as that sometimes distributes the load inside the PSU itself etc.

it could be having issues at specific tasks. For example my 5950x was fine, if i disabled global c-states. If i didn't do that, then it would freeze randomly after it sat at idle and then some tasks wanted to run on a core the CPU couldn't wake up from sleep. You could have a CPU whcih degraded a bit, so it runs fine at low or full load, but at specific frequencies or load situations it hits an issue where for example voltage is not enough for that specific frequency.
