Does anyone know why the Windows11 installation process is SO slow?

I've been sitting at my PC for over 2 and a half hours now and I got to the part where it tries to find a drive and it just didn't go any further than that. 15 minutes ago I had to abandon the installation because I needed to get some sleep. 15 minutes later its still says its cleaning up and I can't sleep until this PC is shutdown (because leccy is expensive). The installation media was on a USB 3.2 Gen 2 drive and it was plugged into one of the rear motherboard ports.
What happens if I just hold the power button to shut down?

I thought I was learning soldering for this mod but ouch I broke 2 of the three iPod classics I have already. How much do you think it would cost if I went to a place and paid them to solder 7 wires on both ends to parts so I could have peace of mind I won't still destroy this?
