If you're expecting low packet loss and consistent speeds on cellular... it's not going to happen, even if you're the only one living next to a brand new 5G capable cellular tower. Cellular is about convenience, not speed / latency.

It's cellular technology though. 🤷 Like, I get it - it sucks, especially for gaming, but this is how cell service works outside of very specific "controlled" conditions. If you want better service, you can try different cellular modems with better chipsets or antenna configurations. If that doesn't work, you can try a different cellular provider. If that doesn't work, try a different delivery method (fiber, coax, LEO-satellite, DSL) than cellular.

Cellular’s going to be good enough for your device to cache the next couple of minutes of your show without any hiccups and you won’t notice it, during this time your connection is going to get way faster and way slower every other second. Good enough for basic browsing, calls, streaming services. Not good for gaming

Like for instance there's tons of LTE available in my local area. They will not authenticate a T-Mobile home internet SIM on LTE bands.

Ah, I've never had to deal with that. All Canadian providers I've ever had don't restrict what I can do with the data allotment I've subscribed to. Well, again, they traffic shape, but they don't say "you cannot use data with your PC because we arbitrarily said so." I've always been able to tether whatever my smartphone supports.

So go to pull down a file at 3:00 in the morning right speed test 800 megabits per second 100 megabits up.

I cannot break past 100 Mbps peak it tries and gets suppressed "yo-yo" they sit there and squash the data speed connection... and that's where we're getting the average 25mbps.

It's not the provider side. I literally maxed out a connection yesterday at 49 MB/s off site. On a GUEST wifi ....

Bear in mind this is new behavior from the ISP.
During my 15-day free trial I had no data limits whatsoever and even in the middle of the day I was playing 300mbps 30ms loaded ping on fully loaded towers.

10 isn't even 10 because jellyfan puts a little overhead in it that's what you see there.

I know why the have h.264 always enabled for transcode output. But I do wish I could say "This device commonly connects always output H.265 or AV1."

The only way to eliminate "issues" with real-time services (game streaming, video calls, etc.) is to use a connection with minimal latency / packet loss. For some in certain areas, cellular service fits this bill. For others, LEO-satellite is the ticket. And for others still, cellular and LEO-satellite both suck, so wired is the only option.

I'm gonna put it simple based on experience. The cheaper unit is going to work just fine and you won't even notice the difference. Corsair sells the type 4 to 12v HPWR cable if you need it so feature set isn't even a concern either.

The only other difference is age but mid tier PSUs can last over a decade fine
