i've also had issues where some devices will latch on 2.4g and not 5g. it sho uld be intelligent but sometimes you gotta steer certain devices

you may also have to do the inverse depending onthe device and env.

You can try DisplayPort, but HDMI should work, assuming your source device is capable of driving the display, of course. Well that explains it. GTX 670 only has HDMI 1.4a which isn't capable of driving the monitor at native resolution.

If you have issues, open windows features and make sure smb 1.0 is on and automatic removal is off. Also make sure windows hello is setup. I do both so they both act as server/host.

Even though all of my media are on HDD's you can't tell, and I knock down all remote streams to 10mbps 1080p, so like 3/4 of my library has to actively transcode but my system just chews through it
