Grrrrr Lenovo! I got a new worklaptop, and the first thing I do after setting up my accounts are opening the the back of it and move my wwan card from my old HP laptop to the new Lenovo laptop.. Everything hardware-wise installs easily (just a few cables from the antennae that need to be pressed in) but then it wont boot 🙁 "Unauthorised network card installed. System will shut down in 20 seconds" and wont even let me into the BIOS

To make it even more annoying.. the laptop ships with the antenna installed, and thermal paste already applied under the dummy-holder so that you're supposed to just be able to install the card and plug in the cables to the antenna

Parents got Verizon to give us faster speed WiFi so now we pay for 2 gigabit (I don't think we pay any extra). They unplugged the linksys boosters or extenders or whatever the things are around the house we have, well just the one to the router.

They are only 2.4ghz and I assumed slower speed then the new router so we don't need them but..in parts of the house the WiFi is insanely slower, so I plugged them back in...however now we just have 2 home networks again and if we switch to the network the Linksys things make we don't get the extra speed. Mom says Verizon is giving her the complete absolute run around and won't help for squat even though they kinda downgraded out WiFi when we were put on 2 gigabit. Anything to be done or do I just stick with both home networks and tell my parents to just switch between them depending on the part of the house your in?

Unplug all Linksys things and just router to router, WiFi was better upstairs, not the best but you could watch 720p YouTube at least. Plug them in and a second WiFi network shows up, connect to it and WiFi better around the house. That old setup.

New setup is new router that is WAY worse around the house, the Linksys things still show up as a second wifi network so stuff like my 3D printers or my NAS no connect when on the wrong one and the Linksys are slower speed anyways.

That's it. So right no no buy other hardware they basically said here is faster WiFi that only works in your kitchen and some devices connect to one network some the other and you have to switch between to connect to one over the other.
