Sure, 1080 Ti has nearly twice the memory bandwidth over 6650XT, but still... And this is with vulkan, not even CUDA - 74t/s PP, 27t/s token generation. Still not great, but around 3 times the RX580 numbers. Obviously smaller model would be better, but if you need something which somewhat works, worth a try

(the --fit-target-size 8192 says how much free space it should keep, which is 8GB and indeed, the GPU RAM usage was only 8.5GB after i loaded the model), it generated me a command which afterrr adding the necessary opther parameters ended up like:

llama-server -c 200000 -ngl 41 -ot -ot "bunchofstuff"  --fit on --flash-attn on --cache-type-k q4_0 --cache-type-v q4_0 -hf unsloth/Qwen3.6-35B-A3B-GGUF:UD-IQ3_XXS -fitt 8192 --no-mmproj --jinja

still over 660 tokens prompt procesing and 70 tokens generated per second.
Absolutely usable for coding.

i have absolutely not tested Qwen3.6-35B-A3B outside of these speed tests. Qwen3.6-27B runs fine for me, but i am fine when token generation drops to 20t/s or so. Does the stuff for me as required, usually the biggest issue the model has is that somehow it fails to update task status in Claude Code 😄

important part is to use right skills to push it to communicate and to do correct processes, but that is true for every model

35B-A3B is still fine (i was using it before), but if i can run a dense 27B model with relatively good speed, why wouldn't i. Realistically the only situation where 27B felt slow was when i ran https://github.com/nexu-io/open-design. Took around 45 minutes for it to generate a nice design, but probably could have done it one third of time with 35B-A3B.

(and yes, someone 'copied' the idea of claude design and created an OSS product from it)
