I was looking at used server hardware on ebay and the Gigabyte MZ72-HB2 caught my eye since its eatx and dual epyc. it also boots in a single cpu config you just loose ram and pcie connected to the 2nd cpu I want to build a home server for a few different things and like I kinda want to just have fun with a dumb overkill project and think it would be interesting

i mean at lower core count side you will be hitting few hundred MHz lower than the desktop coutnerparts and at high core count you are hitting boost limits of 3.6-3.7GHz
