Maybe. Maybe not. Impossible to answer without knowing exactly how it was being used. That said... 6 years of use is a long time for a tablet, so the wear and tear on the case is not surprising at all.
Well it's not like Clarksville isn't like... Right there with small bit of it over Kentucky's southern border.
If we're talking about the outside barrier of a device that is literally made to be mobile
It depends
Technically, a laptop is designed and sold to be used on the go in any capacity by definition. Technically if it was owned by a company for an employee or a school for a student that could literally be 40 hours a week
The hospital I was born to was on the local army base, Fort Campbell, which while mostly on the Kentucky side, extends back towards the Tennessee side too.
Is that thing removable or is it fixed to the device? It's removable isn't it?
And anyone who knows the Monkeys more than likely knows about Fort Campbell in some way because of them. Lol.
Military dad? Props
And yeah it's Kentucky
It's removable, but it's the keyboard case wjich samsung don't sell anymore and there's no 3rd party versions...
I almost worked for the feds at Fort Knox, glad I didnt
Has anyone here used Accubattery b4 been trying to check my battery health for the past week letting my phone go down to 15% and then charging it to 100% and the app is still clueless about my battery
Both mother and father actually. My mom retired way earlier after she had my sister years before me.
average accubattery expirience
To be honest, the keyboard itself looks fine. The outside shown in your first picture is not only made of a material. Quite literally destined to look like shit over time under normal use but will have zero effect on the performance
What you just showed me of the keyboard. That keyboard looks fine. You should still test it to make sure it all works
And for anyone who didn't catch my reference...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_Train_to_Clarksville
"Last Train to Clarksville" is a song by American rock band the Monkees. It was released as the band's debut single on August 16, 1966, and was later included on the group's self-titled album, which was released on October 10, 1966. The song, written by Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart, was recorded at RCA Victor Studio B in Hollywood on July 25, 1966...
Oh, ticktok has notifications
You're not going to find a mobile device with that out facing material that's not going to deteriorate over time even if it's just put into and out of a backpack over the amount of time it's been owned
Two. Red. Moraccas.
I don't know if it came up on camera very well in the other picture but the paint is looking like this around the entire keyboard
Oh, right, taking about new phone. Is the new selling point for s26 a privacy screen?
Dude that's dumb as shit. Just have some situational awareness
Yep, I use it all the time. If you have a phone whose OS is extremely heavy on task killing of background apps, it's likely interfering with AccuBattery's ability to remain "open" during charge cycles. You'll have to check all kinds of settings in a variety of places to find out if this is the case. It can be a pain on some phones.
If the privacy screen is the selling point at the Mercy surely of screen Fidelity which it almost undoubtedly must have screw that shit
I've been using accu battery with Pro. Whatever subscription since like. Oh my God! Android KitKat
I'm on a Pixel Fold not sure how heavy task killing Pixel's are
I'm on a pixel 9 Pro XL
I've had a pixel phone ever since pixel one
I haven't had every pixel phone. I usually skip a generation that's why I'm on an odd number and started with Pixel 1
Even given permission for the app to run in the background
Yes, that's wear and tear. Completely normal for plastic / cloth materials, expecially over multiple years.
I also own a Pixel 1
We're going to have to have jetpacks before I prescribe to foldable phones
I was the same way with wireless mice and wireless headphones but once they proved to be worth the money I've got both now
pro battery apps with subscription 💀💀💀
Oh no! It's not subscription I just mean I bought it like forever ago
I don't pay monthly. That was my bad
With ads*
But it is undoubtedly without a doubt the best battery app for Android and it has been for like a decade
I think even then it was only like $3
what do battery apps even do
arent the options to cap <100% in the settings
Yes
It's not a battery saving app
The thing that I like about accu battery is you can plug up different charging cables and it'll tell you the millisecond to millisecond mv charge that you're getting
Or the discharge while you're unplugged
So what I use it for is I go through all of my USBC cables and I plug them up and I see which ones are the best
It's like the litmus test for shitty charging cables or power blocks for that matter
I got the Pixel Fold since it was 300€ so why not and it quickly replaced my brand new Realme GT 7 i bought few weeks ago lol
Oh, wait, right
Nothing nothing has been able to do that other than accu battery. I'm sure there's alternatives but accu battery is the OG
This. Exactly this. I've had so many "USB PD Capable" chargers and cables that outright LIE about their capabilities. At least this way I KNOW if my device is going to be charged quickly.
And the crazy thing is they're just drawing from what Android already knows
At least Android lets other apps see that data because God knows Apple wouldn't
Although Oppo's new Foldable does look very interesting which I'm looking forward to seeing
They would not want people knowing that their cables are probably on the 30th percentile of performance
First ever Foldable with a crease that you can't even see even in direct sunlight
I don't even think that feature of accu battery is behind subscription
Accubattery has dark mode behind a subscription lmao
But I'll never forget the fun of getting the app and realizing its potential in that regard and going through my mountain of charging blocks and cables and finding the absolute best combination
It's such a weird thing since you check Accubattery probably like once a day
Back then it was insane the variance. We're talking about anything from 300 to 2700 MVa or whatever
Now I think the highest I currently get is 4,800 with USBC
And remember I've been using accu battery since kit Kat, so I was using a T-Mobile G2 with a tactile keyboard at the time originally
I honestly can't think of a single worthwhile app to pay for except Accu battery
This conversation will be funny when solid state batteries hit the consumer market
Yeah kind of like saying us being here will be funny when discord gets Congressional approval to make us give a retina scan in order to telepathically communicate memes
Donutlabs seems sus though
Or when they put us into comatose for not paying for nitro after having the nitro brain chip installed
Tech looks promising, but expensive. So we will see
So you all understand that there have been better alternatives to oil and lithium batteries for decades
All we're waiting for now is for the lithium industry to even scratch the surface of the oil industry
And then they will buy up the patents and squash any competitors just like the oil industry did for almost 2 centuries
Renault shown 1k km ev test already,we will see
But Finland has been experimenting with sodium battery's for a very long time now
We watched a documentary about it when I used to study still
now that's a blast from the past dude
I mean it doesn't take much deductive reasoning to realize that every single industry and technology has advanced exponentially year upon year for the last 150 plus years
Except for...,..
One of the most archaic power delivery sources from the beginning of time
Tech itself from early 20th century, we just got to technologically lvl to make something from it
You don't invent the transistor and then get to AI while only improving gas mileage by 10 to 15 miles per gallon
It just doesn't make sense unless somebody's making sure it doesn't get better or it should have been replaced decades ago
And there have been valid proven attempts to do so and then people like Stanley Meyer die
Which definition of AI are you using?
I'm just using it as the current level of technological advancement since the very first petroleum fueled engine
Because self learning algorithm is way older than microelectronics
You do know we had battery operated vehicles in the 1800s
Technically,yes, but I won't call them vehicles
Were not operating under Max efficiency. We're operating under what the powers that be are willing to make and or lose money off of allowing to exist
Okay, there's several drops in this bucket
Have you ever wondered why the United States being everything that it's globally perceived to be economically and technologically? And what have you
Why do you think rail system pales in comparison to literally every country in Europe?
The reason why anyone in any City in America can't hop on a train and go at least somewhere within 100 miles no matter where they are like Europe
I won't compare rail system of EU and USA, better comparicing is USA and Japan
Despite us pioneering the rail industry originally
Okay well you don't have to because I'll tell you why we don't have a rail system like Europe
Until you visit Germany
It's because the American Auto industry, particularly general motors at the time in the early 1950s. They lobbied and ruthlessly conspired to squash any commuter rail development in every city of America
And you'll never guess why
That's a talent to make rail so inefficient
So they could sell every city in America city buses. That's literally it. I'm not making that up
Every power generation from the beginning of time is one way or another, heating water.
Until fusion reactors
There's a whole Wikipedia article on it and Congress was involved and indictments. It's history. It was just 80 years ago so nobody remembers it
you win some you lose some, China has the best High speed rail in the world without a doubt, but then you don't get the same freedoms as north america.
There are some conspiracies that are by definition and actual conspiracy not what people have made the word conspiracy to mean
There, people treat surveillance as good, here it's treated as invasive.
Conspiracy is a concentrated effort from a group of people to conspire for a goal in secret
There's another one that's proven that's even better get this guys
It's not a conspiracy that in a free-market, money is power
you have money, you can do anything
So shortly after light bulbs were invented they realized they lasted too long. Once everybody owned a light bulb, they weren't selling any more light bulbs because they lasted like several years.
Do you know, you both right and wrong at the same time?
Literally all of the light bulb manufacturers got together and purposely made them last months instead of a few decades
And this again was completely run through the government process. This isn't just speculation
So who knows what they be doing now dog
Again none of this is news?
It was news in like 1914
Planned obsolescence has always plagued north america
Look it up. There's a Wikipedia article including all of the dates of when they were subpoenaed by Congress and admitted guilt and everything
I don't know what you're getting at rn
even if you're right, what have you proved?
The first one is the Great American streetcar scandal Google that and you'll find everything you need
that north america sucks?
Is Mexico north America?
Yes
The second one which I swear to God I can't make this shit up. The group of light bulb CEOs that would meet in secret. They called themselves the Phoebus Cartel
And you can Google that and read everything
Of all of the conspiracy theories that give the two words conspiracy and theory a bad name. Those are two legitimate conspiracy theories that were proven to be true
I can't wait for the next one!
I'm so confused how did this go from accubattery and type C cables to this
Oh fun fact! Also the Phoebus cartel coined the term planned obsolescence
That's actually how I found out about this
nobody cares lmao
I don't care either
then what are you going on about
what even is your point?
or just mindless babbling?
The world is getting worse or something like that
Eh
I don't know where exactly I would be if I thought you thinking I was cool mattered holy shit
It's been over 15 years and I still can't buy Graphene batteries so... 🤷
https://www.engadget.com/2010-12-08-graphene-electrodes-promise-5x-energy-storage-boost-for-ultracap.html
Graphene. We hear of your achievements so often, but feel your benefits in our everyday lives so infrequently. We'd be remiss if we didn't point out how unhealthy of a relationship this is, but hopefully Bor Jang and co. have a mind to mend it all. Bor, along with a number of colleagues at Nanotek Instruments, have just uncovered a graphene adva...
Yelling at the screen telling Linus to decide on the hairstyle maybe?
This is kind of alluding to the point I originally tried to make by bringing up the suppression of advancement by corporations who would lose a lot of money if such things advanced
BYD promising 2027
The technology exists. It's been proven and peer-reviewed
I mean,who else,at this point?!
The reason why we don't see any advancements in 15 years probably be answered by looking into the patents or who funded the research or who stopped funding the research and their ties
It could be as simple as oh. It ended up being really expensive which is usually the case
China is already proving that. A properly advanced and properly rich country can find and implement better alternatives than the internal combustion engine off of gasoline
Tesla is 20 years old and this news is 15 years. Something sometimes conspiracy
My uh collection of tech (doesn’t include a bunch of stuff because I cant really put it all in one spot lol
the only reason Chinese stopped competing in gasoline cars is they knew they couldn't beat the germans, japanese, or americans.
It why do you think it took a complete outside source and not the literal global pillar of the automotive industry to not make that advancement first?
so they invested in electric cars early by putting gasoline plates on a lottery system and allowing easy purchasing of EVs and especially electric scooters.
You seriously don't think we shouldn't be better than 18 to 30 miles per gallon in 2026
If not on a completely different means of powering our vehicles if our entire economy wasn't based on the fuel source
Also, Chinese dependency on oil is way higher,so electric argument is way stronger
China is the first country in two generations to be even remotely close to doing whatever the fuck it wants and pioneering on the level that America did '50s to the '90s
I do think that, I got to ride in a car that did well over 600 miles no problem on a single tank of gas + battery in China, with all the luxury features you don't get in North America.
Why do you think you're going back to the Moon with the Artemis mission
The issue is at least for where I live, electric does not do well in cold
Why do you think they've unilaterally banned Chinese EV vehicles when every country including Canada has allowed them
Gallon is 8L, right?
It's because EU countries and Canada don't have an insane Auto industry
Oh,not that bad
We're told that Chinese EVs are not allowed to be sold here because they're doing the customer a favor
Because for one, they have a culture that's united regardless of whether or not you like how they got there.
No, they're not. They're doing the American Auto industry, a favor and they went bankrupts less than 2 decades ago and the taxpayers bought them out
And then they weren't even nationalized. They were just literally given a blank check to keep going
what happens to the american automotive economy if nobody buys american?
it collapses.
I know what happens but that's not how shit works
Well then the obvious fix to that is to make better products right?
Oh,he is pretty dip in right wing media
You can't beat your chest about America being free market capitalism and blah blah blah and then do shit like the rail car conspiracy and now the Chinese EV bullshit
Well who wants to do that when you can just make the government block out the better competitors
The American Auto industry has been spoiled into not being good at business for half a century
it's cheaper, it's faster, and it's better for the big tech's wallets
Sometimes empires deserve to fall at their own fault
Especially when they fuck up royally twice for fuck's sake
go again? I'm Canadian idc about what y'all do lmao
it's not right or left wing to say that if there's no investment or moving money within an economy, the economy falls
I am more about his arguments
I really think you all should read the story of the guy who invented a engine that can run off water
how about you explain it
Tried to sell his patents to all the major automotive industries
Oh, hydrogen cars, that's a topic and a half in this chat
And then he suddenly died and it wasn't just a oh he died in his sleep all right
sigh this guy
It's pretty popular anti corporate conspiracy theory
poor dude how do you sleep at night worrying about all these things
He literally dies in the middle of a meeting with the other industry and tell yeah it was from an aneurysm is the official story. Whatever, but that would be fine. Clean slate excuse
just realize that the world's messed up and move on
Except for when his son who returned home after his dad died literally during a lunch meeting with you Auto execs found his dad's workshop looted
But but armchair activism
I love being laid back
And I'm not talking about this guy's technology just being like oh he said it
He was on the news showing it off and all kinds of stuff
far as I'm concerned, I live a comfortable life with powerful gas engines and that's all there is to it
It was about hydrogen car
Of course me too and we have been very well groomed to be complacent in being able to say that
Hydrogen vehicles a thing since earth 20th century
groomed to be complacent?
I'm not trying to say I'm about to walk away from the only system I have to keep things going for myself
I'm not the one engineering new tech
I'm just pointing out the extreme and drastic measures taken to make it this way
I take what I have, I love gas guzzling, german engineering, all wheel drive cars that just go
I don't know man. Have you ever sat in a Tesla?
far as I'm concerned, there's no more efficient way to go 200km/h on a road
I know there's going to be a transitional. Between grease monkey car culture and EV culture
Way more than just teslas lmao
Sat in Xiaomis, Aion, BYD, AITO
all of which are more luxury than Tesla and Lucid
0 to 60 in A Tesla makes you feel like you're in One of those motorized shopping carts by comparison
Instant torque instant full acceleration
Guys for loseless scaling, what goy should I use
You don't have to work your way through six gears or nothing. That's why a Tesla can beat a Ferrari in 0 to 60, around 3 seconds
It's the future
and no range
what was it, 3 launches and the battery dies?
A Tesla will literally make you feel like gravity switches 90° from where your feet are to where your back is
10€ per 1kg still hurts
And that's not a claim to Tesla anybody could do that. It's a claim to the technology that even Tesla doesn't have rights over
no that's what a plane is for, or high speed rail in China where 300km/h is actually practical
Yeah but without a torque converter is gonna be impossible to beat the top speed
That's simply not true dude
But it is the best car I ever own
They get like 350 miles per gallon these days
?
ok how much range does launching a tesla get
True I just waiting for the day we get more compact cells
And it's only getting better at the very least. I can tell you right now that they are advancing the range for EV batteries than they are combustion engines
And that's speaking about the past 5 to 10 years, let alone the past 150 years
if you need to be put back into your seat, get into a plane. If you wanna go fast, do it on a rail where that speed is actually useful
That's because there is no electricity industry like there is the oil industry
How is that even remotely the same
And if there was no such thing as an oil industry we would already be. God knows driving around on what technology
Should be in 2027 at earliest and most likely won't be available in west for some time
Anyways Tesla aren't great
Batteries are good (it's my industry lol) but it's heavy
they're fine as far as north american evs go
but it's really just a corolla with nicer tech
and half the reliability
They are just avg nowadays
But what advancements have you seen or heard about in the last 10 years compared to the last 100 years combustion engines?
And I'm not saying combustion engines have even hit a ceiling They can't pass up
We're sitting in the comfortable profit margin for the oil industry and it's all all a handshake over caviar
300hp in a 3 cyl 1.6L consumer road car
Are you trying to say that this is all that they could muster after 150 years or the most they're willing to allow?
didn't you say in the past 100 years? what did you have to do to get the same power output then?
1926 4L V12
It doesn't take a fucking genius to look at the automotive industry and realize there is no good excuse for literally every single other industry that isn't tied to the oil industry to advanced at the same rate
or 7.1L I6
So look at it like this
well here's the kicker for you: maturity is a thing. you could say the same for silicon, where the ability to make transistors smaller is reaching its limit
If tomorrow something came out that replaced electricity and silicon graphics and one fell swoop
silicon graphics?
How much of a fight do you think every single multi-billion dollar company would fight against that technology coming to light?
None
The entire world already lives off their technology why not spend a few hundred million on making sure things just keep going how things are going
The oil industry has literally been doing that for almost two centuries
to replace energy is insane work
I mean, they can just use that tech to make money
your forms of energy is what, electricity, chemical, light, and sound?
I'm not just speaking off of speculation either. There's tons of shit the back this up
Chevron BP Exxon all of them buying up patents and then sitting on them. And I'm talking about buying up patents in the 1890s
mechanical, chemical, thermal, electrical, nuclear, and radiant
Don't mistake - conspiracy for non profitability
Not patents that they bought up in order to research in advance. They bought them to control them. Never seeing the light of day again
And again I'm not making this shit up dude
I'm not even a green environmentalist person
you're saying that something could replace a fundamental form of energy?
This could be about toothpaste for all I care. I'm literally talking about the egregious suppression of progress in any industry in any capacity. That's what pisses me off
The only argument you've got is you want to stray away from one form of chemical energy to another
And the fact that this one in particular is apparently killing our planet. That doesn't help
Oh right, I should make toothpaste
going from a highly power dense gasoline to a much lower density hydrogen
Even though if it was about toothpaste and there was an alternative that made your teeth whiter for less money, I would support that too
you're sounding like this guy!!!
You're going to have to give me more context than specifically what you think. Proves your point
Did you seriously ask AI what someone sounds like when they're trying to defend what you don't agree with?
no that was google search for stockton rush quotes
Who the hell is that?
That's not AI font
That's AI format
What are some key Stockton Rush quotes as a prompt? Yeah, that will literally give you that format
Thanks bae
This whole time you've been ranting about how companies can lobby government to stop competitors from innovating using drastic measures and how innovation is apparently slowed because of it
Wait a second
That's literally what I've never ranted about once
I've been trying to ask you what is your point and you haven't given one
this
and the hydrogen water car thing
and the evs thing
Yeah that is not anything about lobbying the government or stopping competitors
I don't see how you all don't realize that other alternatives are booming except in our little American bubble or Western bubble. I guess for those who aren't American
oceangate 2.0 when?
Even though there are plenty of Western civilizations that are completely embracing alternative sources of driving to work
The reason why America literally has banned it against all of their allies, allowing it is because of the threat to the American Auto industry
ok and?
The Canadian Auto industry doesn't have much to contend with by letting cheap EV cars into their market
are you american?
if you don't like it, move to somewhere that you do like
it's really that simple - got a whole planet to explore
You would make the perfect American. I don't know why you live wherever the fuck you do
I prefer Canada - so I live in Canada
How are you going to be? Not American and regurgitating American propaganda
Aren't Canadians supposed to hate America even though I don't agree with what America recently did to Canada
What propaganda? That I like German cars?
I daily a Japanese SUV and shill Chinese evs lmao
I'm guessing you're not within 300 km of the east or west coast of Canada
bit costly in parts tbf
oh for sure
Americans gave Canadians V8s, so as far as I'm concerned, that's cool
idk I don't get super political
You like what you like, you don't like what you don't like
I have friends in Toronto and Vancouver and they say their version of the South in america is anyone who doesn't live near Toronto or Vancouver
I don't agree
Mostly because one person who said something in the last 15 minutes isnt enough to make me agree on anything
I didn't like how crowded it was in China, and American culture isn't my thing
Canada is nice.
But oddly enough all my Canadian friends love cars
Living in a single home without needing to worry about rent is nice.
Like, V8 type car dudes
Being able to drive anywhere I want is nice
Well higher capacities
no my fav engine is the B58, 3L i6
Which should allow us to cut out more weight from current packs
As an American oddly enough, my favorite engines are in line 6 from Germany. No matter what they are, I'm sure there are some exceptions
see?
But I also haven't been behind the wheel of a V8 before
toss out the politics and you finally see the light
Tbf oil is very efficient and very energy dense
just enjoy what you have
That's exactly what I've already done
If you toss out the politics and you have an ounce of capacity for critical thinking, you can see shit for what it is
On literally any topic
it's only efficient cause there was many years of prior investment into it
but, far as I'm concerned, I'll take it.
American politics has become a religion and you know how easy it is for people to give up religion
Even as a non-american, I'm sure you know what I'm saying
I got cheap gas, fun cars, I'll do as I please
We got ford pushing more than 100hp from less than liter of displacement 10 years ago
It's very efficient
That's honestly how America got where they're at Canada was probably not a good example of non-american
EVs are woke
10 years ago was 2016, that's not exactly old...
Because Canada and America, despite the worthless line drawn in the sand on the North American continent that divides us
2016 is only a year older than my newest car lmao
We're all sitting on top of the same insanely huge oil reserves
By engine tech it is and iirc there's a version of it now closer to 200hp still under a liter
And that brings me right back to square one of my point
are they reliable?
America just is an easier example because we not only have oil whether it be need or dependency on it
We also just happen to have a multinational conglomerate that depends on it on top of that
either way 2016 and 2017 M240i are practically the same car - first gen B58. Hardly cutting edge but hella fun to drive
Yup puma st has 170hp from 1l
One thing I always wondered why why Canada was so good at making airplanes but never really ventured into the Auto industry
Europe has obviously done both. Honestly Europe leads and airplane engines to this day
Some of them not only shifted into making cars but gave up aerospace for cars hence the BMW logo
makes no sense, small and light car still takes 7.4s for 0-62mph
I think we still fly some Canadian made airplanes in our military to be honest
Puma st is not small... Also it's 170hp, so eh, but it's an engine used in a lot of racing cars for a reason
Iirc ginetta and Catherham uses it
Dang I just did a Google
Over 110 Canadian companies contribute to the components used to manufacture the f-35
Which is quite literally the closest thing to a UFO that any government has towards fighting shit in the air
And a formula ford with one did 7 minutes in Nürburgring
it's small to me - it's shorter than my 2 series length wise and smaller than my rav4 all around
also looks like the bumper would scrape everything on the road if I drove it in the winter
half the approach clearance as my rav4 that makes it a small car in my books
wasn't california's population basically the same as the entirety of Canada
Probably not even California. Just two or three Southern cities in California
Small would be a Yaris my guy
I consider my 2 series small and it's bigger than the Puma lmao
Canada is a little over 40 mil actually
And I don't know if California has that many. Let's see
39.6mil in Cali
Cali's population isn't too far off population wise to Canada
so basically the same.
Yep close you're right
yeah so that's why
it does make it that the city I live in is very quiet for the most part
But the thing about California is 95% of the population is in less than 5% of the area
same as Canada lmao
If you look at a population density map of California, you'll see what I mean. It comes down to like three cities
Well I'm wrong
The top three most populated cities in California only make up 15% of the population
So I might extend that to five
anyways
Love german and japanese cars, gas is gas and the world still spins
good enough for me.
I love German and Japanese cars too
Not necessarily buying them or driving them but looking at them
well, who knows if the world is still spinning a month from now but we'll see!
Only after experiencing them
But man dude let me tell you a little something about my 1984 BMW m635
Growing up in a Mopar household.... Me buying German and Japanese (latter especially) was asking for death /j

I almost died when I traded it for my life but man that was such a fucking beast
Same but also British cars too, I love lotus
Lotus evora uses the same 2grfe as my rav4, the exige was a corolla 2zz engine
they're just toyota powertrains in an nice chassis
somewhat.
Mine was metallic blue. Arctikblaus as bmw would copywrite it
that's awesome.
And that's the beauty of it, they manage to turn the mundane into the exciting
I want a TVR so bad lol
The hood for the engine opened up in reverse too which was awesome
Like the hinge was by the headlights in case people are too dumb to know what I mean
But yeah traded it for my life so
Can't really complain about not having it anymore
We called our 1993 Dodge Shadow "Doug"
Yeah I crashed it spectacularly
tragic
I was driving down a country road where it was like Cliff face on my left and drop off to my right
I went a little bit on the outside of a turn and my front right wheel dropped off a 6-in ledge of the pavement which created like a track that I couldn't get back onto the road from
Anyways, I ended up corkscrewing and ending up with my headlights going straight up into the trees
But the crazy thing is I had my sunroof open and when I hit the tree the roof crushed down and my head went through the sunroof
well you're alive so it really served its job
If the sunroof wasn't open I would be dead. I've got pictures hold on
Dang it
Auto mod
damn
You can actually see the dent in the roof where the trunk of a tree would be
But yeah my head went through the sunroof and only had one staple on my scalp but anyways
Not our exact car, but it looked exactly like this
I think I've seen a few videos of a car like this. Getting good air time when driving straight into a roundabout
That's not a desk. I'm just literally recalling what I remember
Diss*
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/8b92FT/thermalright-axp90-x36-4258-cfm-cpu-cooler-axp90-x36
thoughts on this to cool a undervolted Ryzen 7 9700x? Building a very small PC to fit in my car so I can run an AI model in it and use OpenClaw
see that's a thing, modern cars with TC and Stability Control has reduced those accidents by a LOT
what case
Yeah why so low profile
I'd go fullcopper if possible
probably custom made, it needs to fit in my glove box
but the mounting for that cooler sucks ass
Are you picking that for clearance or what made you choose that
i could increase voltage on fan to have better cooling no?
no
smol and tiny
uh, go scour r/sffpc for inspiration.
Yeah but that's extremely small
bett man thx
The type of heatsink you get because you can't spare half a centimeter
To be honest with that type of CPU and being limited to that size of the heatsink go for full copper
how about direct die cooling and liquid metal?
my budget is very generous for this project
Just cover all your bases on proper airflow elsewhere
direct die is not really needed nowadays
im gonna prioritize small and efficient cooling
Like solid copper for heatsink. You might whenever place the fan that comes with whatever heatsink you actually get
get used to 95C and airflow being 2mm of clearance
Make sure you get your arrows right with high CFM fans, wherever you can fit them
Fans might be pushing it so fan
tho, you might be better off getting like a nuc or minipc nowdays with how good iGPUs have gotten.
Dang they let CPUs thermal throttle above 90 seed these days?
i do want to use an Nvidia T4, its small too, uses 75 watts, and has 16gb of vram
not throttle, target.
base speed is well under 90
ppl actually install coolers for their ssds?
but if it's not at 95, it'll turbo the thing till it does
Then what's throttle on a 95 Target
should I jsut get something like a Core i3-12100T? 35 watts is yummy
115 billion Kelvin
some do for the controller, or in my case I needed it since the chipset is directly under the SSD (I run itx)
keep boosting for as long as it can sustain 95C
if it's heating past 95C, drop boost till it hits 95C
In my experience you don't need to cool solid state. You can actually cool a solid state to impede performance easier than you can have one. Overheat
i cant imagine a small copper cooler that is overvolted, direct die with liquid metal, and undervolted cpu is gonna cause anything over 70C?
direct die doesn't make sense anymore now that all cpus are soldered IHS
Usually when you want to cool a solid state drive at least an M2 or an nvme. It's to contend with the heat it's around, not the heat it generates if that makes sense
i see
I was thinking a mac mini with 64gb might be a better choice but the price is definitely a no go for me.
For example, I have a nvme nas hosting almost 10 TB of stuff in raid 0 (shut up) does hosting a Plex server to over a dozen people?
And those little shits never get even close to getting hot enough to even warrant a cooler
Let alone having a cooler and worrying about them Staying cool enough
But they also aren't sandwiched between CPU and a GPU with shit air cooling which might warrant something even if it's what your motherboard comes with
But a 3.5 SSD will never need cooling
But in my Nas I have six 2 TB literally side by side in a very small enclosure and they're fine
oh balls. I think I found my next mistake
Get a pink gold one for a real mistake
Black and silver face with a metallic and black band would be dope if they offer it
I mean silver metallic are interchangeable whatever
nah the black silver with leather band is good
Yeah I just was kind of annoyed but copper had the option and the others didn't
I don't know why Casio
Were you just blindly browsing watches and came across this one that you liked and it happened to be Casio? Or were you browsing casio's?
I'm still looking for the red one tho
no I just happened to see a post about it
Oh shit, I follow this guy on YouTube who does custom versions of these watches?
Specifically these ones
I've seen it like once or twice but I don't watch the dude
I think he does the casio royales tho
Where he will make the black parts actually every color within the display he will customize the colors of
this one I think it was?
I just wanted the LF20W cause I like square slim watches and I love that colour
no clue who that is
But if you put his name with custom Casio you'll see what I'm talking about
Yoinked
rahh
Blue screen of success
Now got 32gb RAM
Since when did - if then else get harder to type than "otherwise"
Dude went Shakespeare for 1 word
is there a away to like clear restart a laptop
like hard reboot a laptop to its normal condition cause my laptop is suddenly so buggy. When i played games its fps i so low (i have a rtx 5060 laptop) and i watched yt tutorial on how to fix the issues but it only gets worse and i want to like clear reboot my laptop cause its still new
sketchy 'USB3.0-SuperSpeed 4Ports Hub' shows up as...
If you do update driver and try to replace it for a generic usb host does it work?
if child != 67:
print("you dint follow the trend")
else:
print("SIX SEVEN")
sorry
cant update them or atleast i cant find them
aw hell na what was that
AI slop
What the fuck
You'd say you'll provide your own driver
Locally Installed
I don't have a disk, then there's the generic drivers
well idrc about the drivers
im only plugging in power-only or usb 2 devices
as long as it works im fine with it
So you could do a silly and make it where it looks like it is 67 but make 67 be defined as 69 and then replace the text with “ur not funny” and “nice”
A lot of internal devices (mostly on laptops and aio computers) use usb internally
Generational difference ah
I mean 67 meme is gone too far, and the worse thing is ppl saying it’s the 67 gesture even tho me and others have used it for years, some even decades
Like you had 69 as the mainly millennial funny number, 9/11 for zoomers and 67 for gen alpha
'internally'
i mean it could
I don’t think gen alpha has coding lessons so uhm
but im too lazy to make my usb 3 port internal
No but like for example bluetooth, sd card readers, built in webcams, etc are often usb
no shit
im talking about an external hub
zoomers don't know 420
Does anyone have any ideas on printers?
i actually need tech support rn my laptop is so buggy it works normally on daily use and roblox but when it comes to fps games such as fortnite and valorant it just crashes all over but when i played expedition 33 it runs just fine idk what is happening to my laptop nvm it didnt run fine
I can make my phones photos look good (took the photo yesterday)
Looks liminal lol
whats the best way to show CPU GPU RAM resource usage on the task bar?
i use the et-2860
Wdym
I remember you mentioned that you wanted to get some old thinkpads
I mean i did want a thinkpad x61 but like too expensive
Ah don't have those
I work at a recycling center we got a few old thinkpads in today
I got 2 X230's a T40 and a T30 iirc
Think I threw away the T40
The x230 is also an option that i wanted at some point
I would do the keyboard mod if i did get one but other than that
I do
The X230 has a god awful trackpad
Why is it textured lmao
Why couldn't it be smooth
i still would take a thinkpad over almost everything else :P
I still got 3, a 12 year old one, ~6 year and 2 year old. Love em
I get a ram error on a pc i open it and check what's wrong with the ram and I see this lol
does anyone in chat have experience running the 14900k on a b760 mobo? does it work or does it spontaneously combust
Can you pair a i7 2600 with a RX 580?
why would it not work?
if you want to
Ok!
Who cares, it has trackpoint
hm
Hmmmmm
don't need it but like lowkey not a bad deal
Isn't that just average price for a 3070 ti
I wish
3080's go for 250-300
Well uh realistically that cpu would die at some point anyways so whatever
Much better deal
Why the fuck does this even exist lmfao
Ebay
There are dozen of brands ripping off apple's triple lens layout
And they still do it to this day
pretty sure huawei and maybe even older xiaomis
I'm pretty sure average person would laugh at you owning a fake apple product
Yeah but this one is actually straight up identical
ikr
There are more of these identical ones
good morning 🙂
Idk on who is supposted to a fake looking iphone make an impression
Hey guys. I need help with building my 1st pc. I have a ssd with heatsink and I want to screw it in but I can't get the screw out of the normal heatsink from the motherboard. I guess I need to get rid of the small ring but I can't seem to find a way to do it.
imo slab phones are boring everyone looks the same in 2026. Foldables are the future
As long they make the surface glass
majority would probably end up with a foldable if they make it cheap enough and fix the issues people have like the inner screen being plastic and fragile
yep but I think we're getting there
In 2026 old people still randomly talk to me about a fold
6+ months with a fold 7 and I dont really take care of it. no big scratches yet!
I have a free screen protector replacement. I have no need for it
2 years with a 5. Thing is a tank
Im a new foldable owner. it's been an amazing experience
Im a believer now
Did you come from iOS too
Ive dropped it bad like 4-5 times now
9 years of iphone/ios
my opinion: android phones are way better but apple accessories are better
Can confirm I bought a Realme GT 7 couple weeks ago and then bought a Pixel Fold last week since it was cheap and it immediately replaced my Realme GT 7 lmao
Lucky
I love my Fold 7 but I wish my apple watch lol
I know bruh
I just accidentally found this one
Meh
Fk the accessories we have fdroid
I'm looking for any solution at that point
I just miss my apple watch and airpods
Currently the only thing Apple has an edge on is their airtags
Fold 7 shits on my iphone tho it's not even close
Airtags 2 are the best
Haven't had any complaints with my Oneplus Watch 2
dont get me wrong. my Samsung watch is good toom
it just disconnects sometimes like once every 2 months or something .would drain battery
never experienced that with my apple watch
Samsung generally just sucks
should I get a non-samsung watch next
Genuinely airtags are the most advanced from apple at the price point
i mean it's fine. but it's not "magic' like my apple watch was if that makes sense
phones go on par with android
I cant explain it well lol
mouse and keyboards are meh from apple
I feel like apple doesnt use bluetooth but Magic to connect to the watches and airpods
generic stuff
they just work great. whatever chip they put really works
I like apple with stuff like these.
I use a thinborne case and if you don't know its a dbrand sticker worth of protection and this thing has had an unholy amount of encounters with gravity and the hinge still feels stiff as day 1
first 3 months with hinge protection for me. ($25 case) bought a $13 clear case last christmas. I've been enjoying it it's march already
My Oneplus Watch 2 has 2 SoC's in it so it's battery lasts 100 hours on a full charge
the $13 case came with TG screen protector. amaizng value lol
You can totally go naked on these
I have no problems with battery. I dont think any modern watch does @ebon marlin
Samsung took the criticism of the 1-2-3 personally
I would endthe day with 80% or something crazy. totally irrelevant
Have you seen Apple Watch's batteries lol
They last a single day
I dont remember lol. I still charge my samsung watch every night out of habit
i dont like wearing watches when im sleeping
I think my last apple watch had 2 day battery life? I still charged it every night lol
battery was a non-issue for me because I charge them before going to bed. Im big with routine 😄
my samsung watch probably needs a charge once every 4-5 days
I still charge it every night lel.
@ebon marlin I have a watch tanline. I always run outside lol
I live in a country where it's impossible to get a tan lmao
fold 7 is almost too stiff I had a harder time opening it up in the beginning
Have you heard of the new Oppo N6 foldable
I have a 299.99 base ipad. I still use my gen1 airpods pro every now and then
I use my base ipad as a third monitor a lot. Im weird 😄
Watch was phone carrier promo?
with me? no I purchased them from samsung.com it was on sale
pro tip: if anyone has AAA insurance. you can get discounts on samsung.com
Ive said it a few times here. I bet a lot of people dont know. and they have AAA
Oh God....how much are you paying /paid for your phone
I get cheap phones from my carrier
I just bought my dad an S26 ultra 512gb the other day.
they're paying $750 for my dad's old pixel 7. score
(trade in)
Appel
Oh thank god. I swear.
Like the fold is cool. But not $180 a month cool (before data plan)
I haven't even told my dad yet. he's gonna be a happy old man. better for youtube
traded in my old phone for the Fold 7. the deal was insane
1300 here. Somehow those contracts are worth it to them
@stoic nova read this
it's a little dark but this poster got me to come in the store.
$1000 + value of your phone. wtf?
again wtf? so yea here I am with a Fold 7 6 months later.
They don't actually sell the phone, at least not themselves. The value is more in a promo
It's up to
I love my carrier. they love me too because I have their gigabit internet
my carrier fkn loves me.
I sign 2 year contract (1 year upgrade) plan for this kinda trade in
I have their overpriced cable internet, i dont have fiber inmy area
And that big long term plan is worth it
me having their overpriced gigabit cable internet unlocked ALL the deals in the mobile side.
I think it's because tax write-offs for depreciation they can afford this promo
but my gigabit internet isn't cheap. Im kinda getting screwed with this but the mobile side is nice to me so it evens out.
and I like my fast internet. it's imba but it's fine
1160 down/ 40 up lol
I've been waiting for At&t fiber for years. the street next to me has them. I dont know why they dont care about my area 🙁
I live 20 minutes outside city center and have
who knows. I've been living in the US for 12 years. it's the first time I dont feel like im getting scammed by my carrier
I was with t mobile for 10 years. I dont remember getting a deal this sweet.
I honestly think Samsung was just a little desperate to sell these phones.
probbaly harder to sell $2000+ phones in this economy.
probably just want people to get their hands on it. it's an amazing phone tbh. people hate on it a lot which pains me a little haha
It's because every carrier is a competitor but also works with each other. You know how cell towers work now?
I honestly ignored spectrum mobile for a bit. I thought they suck. I regret it
probably couldve saved money sooner.
1 carrier builds it. ALL of them share it and pay each other to use it
yea apparently spectrum uses Verizon network
So they compete with users
Get people on long contracts
not like im interested to leave. everyone needs a phone lol
long contracts are fine as long as I dont get screwed.
There's not much to complain about
who upgrades their phones every year anyway.
I upgrade when I pay off my phone lol.
so I try to take care of it for 2 years before trading it in for a new one.
Even technologically phones are advancing screens and camera technology for cheap
only time I upgraded in 1 year was the 13 pro max
I really wanted 120hz LOL! that's the pc gamer in me
i honestly think it was worth it lol.
You know how iphones are socially considered a luxury
But have over 70 percent market share for phones in usa
for sure. from where im from (philippines) only rich people have iphones
but in the US not as much. I see people doing lawns with a Fold 7
and the latest iphones lol
im an immigrant so I actually love it here. people complain a lot but I actually grew up in a bad place. way different lol
proud to be american 🦅
do you remember the rule of 420 thougfh?
We were not ready for the internet as a species
We course correct eventually
the internet has been like this since I was in the 6th grade.
a second screen and using hwinfo
it's just a little dumber now. it's the same lol
Feels dumber but because infinitely bigger
ended up putting it on a page of my stream deck
love my stream deck
it's been like it since the beginning of the internet
I honestly think I cant live without one lol
only reason I said that is because that's when I got my own PC and dial up internet lol
i have a stats page now, with CPU GPU RAM VRAM and Battery of my mouse
HWINFO integration is pretty goated hehe
put FPS too
I have a sound board, voice changer, philips hue light integration, macros etc.
sound i do on the rode caster
i'm old enough to remember 10 base networking using bnc connectors and both 28k and 56k modems
i had a 56k modem but to this day I cant figure out why I was locked at 28.8kbps
can you explain it to me in 2026? lol
possibly isp
but my friends house next door, I would see it go over 28.8knps like 34kbps etc.
mine was hard capped to 28.8kbps. unsolved mysteries of my childhood
his PC is trash btw
i saw 2 versions, which do you use?
I have a Pentium 4 1.6ghz 256mb ram, geforce 2 mx440 64mb
afaik there's two versions. I use the older one. I have a stream deck mk.1
let me record a small video for you lol one sec
realistically there's only 1 version, it just has a variant that vcan be ran from a usb drive portably
sorry of the plugin in steam deck market @gritty panther @rigid fjord
gooner cave
it's my bedroom lol
I mvoed the stream deck to the right now. I use the ipad as a third monitor. that's an older picture.
*sponsored by NZXT 😄 they send me free stuff every now and then
Yay i spy ram fan
Imma need make and model of that sub
got to keep 96gb ram cool. they're not cheap now /jk
I got them for 269.99 btw. Im not rich
I need to get faster ram
No you don’t
Yes i do

What cpu?
someone saw my weeb PC. asked for pictures and started sending me stuff. they've sent me overpriced hall effect keyboard, mouse, mousepad, plushie etc. lol
holy wall of whatever that is and holy pink flashbang and a bery nice gt40
🦧
I said if they sent me H9 I will make a new one. so far crickets.
they promised me last year. probably forgot about me 😄
I still love ya NZXT. mwah!
What cpu did you say you have?
sorry didnt notice. 9950x3d
the fix for older nzxt cases especially the h510's
Please say you not running xmp
That keyboard is cheap as hell here in Finland they're selling it for like 30 bucks since no one wants it
you fkn underestimate my powers
I have buildzoid timings mfer.
😆
Yay not 6400 2:1:x
Ok
Some cases 2:1 at 8000+ can make sense for the duel ccd cpus
you're probably fine with shit ram on an X3D chip
My cl36 6000 does absolutely fine with x3d.
I seen some say it noticable after i tweeked settings for them
got it free from a mate. might as well. if anyone wants it I can give it
I have a-die and m-die Buildzoing timings

who doesnt want extra 1-2fps /j
VRMs getting too hot?
i haven't spent a single braincell on processors and mobos since 2017 and apparently these little VRM things are now a massive deal, according to what i can gather from the internet
Yeah X3D doesn't care about latencies on ram mostly the speed
Bad latencies doesn't affect X3D chips as much as it does non-X3D chips
Its mostly a misunderstanding amongst beginners. The point at which is stops mattering for the vast majority of users is only a little above the bargain, el-cheapo boards.
Hello, for a laptop cooler stand thingy, which of these might be best?, one has 2 massive fans that spin at much slower rate
The other has 2 smaller fans that spin at 12 times the speed of the other one

I get blackscreen after tabbing out of fullscreen game and tabbing back in anyone know how to fix it? Someone told me to do ddu yesterday and i did it but it still does this
Mc doesnt have that sadly afaik
Both screens and then amd crash thing pulls up
I got 2 screens both diff resolutions
What make and model display
Yes i'm asking if you're running the game at a resolution that doesn't match the display's native resolution
Lg ultragear hd 240hz
Asus vg289q1a 4k 70 hz
Didnt have this problem 2 days ago and didnt change any resolution
And prior to 2 days ago
Maybe game takes the resolution of the 2nd monitor aka the 4k one when i tab into it? Idk
The games resolution settings is set to: current
Aka prob the one it is played on
If you think thats the problem, then ill cap it at 1080
It sounded like a DSC issue but 4K60 isn't going to use DSC at all
happening in other games?
If i switch over to linux will things like my steam games have to be reinstalled or can i transfer them all to 1 or 2 drives and access them after wiping the boot drive and installing linux?
Idk if there is a relation, im watching smth on my second screen and the video on the streaming website also crashes
hard carried by the l3 cache
Sadly i am so boring as to only be playing that rn
The funny thing is, it only happens sometimes
If you have your SteamLibrary on a dedicated drive you can but its not recommended. Different file systems. Word of warning, if you're asking this kinda question, be prepared to have a bit of a rough go of it just getting linux working. If you're used to windows and just play games, you're better off just staying there. Moving to linux as a beginner and not having good Google skills is going to be rough. https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/wiki/Using-a-NTFS-disk-with-Linux-and-Windows
Yeah i just did a little more research and it looks like everything will work much better if i reformat the drives in ext 4 and reinstall everything. That sucks because i have most of my steam library installed on like 4 nvme's and 1 sata ssd.
Hi, I found a payment issue with dbrand, one of your sponsors, where you can, through a bug, get $600 off your purchase when it would be even a higher purchase, you could even get more of a discount, but what is not a discount, it's a bug. How can I contact dbrand so they can fix it?
I plan on using Nobara since its aimed at being as compatible as possible with steam.
can i somehow get it contact there ?
Have you tried their own website? This is a community server so i'm not sure who you're referring to when you say "your sponsors"
yes
Community sponsor vetting, and helping to address problems with our sponsors.
The people here, in this channel, don't work for LMG
whats the nummer
...
Or firefox idk
didnt find it
Sometimes you cant always be helpful, let it be
okay thx
Funny how they literally have THEIR discord linked on THEIR own website
Plus their mail a little further down
Yeah i'm not sure what that was all about, at least going about it in that way.
but takes long a lot of thimes its faster on other ways
what other ways
These ARE the only ways, we wont be able to connect you to their marketing or h&r division 😭 🙏
when some from lmg gives it to dbrand it can go faster
I've been interested in Linux for a while but things like ai crap being put into windows and a california law trying to force OS providers to require age verification is pushing me away from windows. I think it'll work just fine, my hardware is all AMD.
Isn't linux gonna be forced to do age verification too?
good luck forcing an open source OS to do anything
it's mainly just california being stupid again but stupid tends to spread like wildfire these days.
Knowing california they are prolly doing this because they think the operating system will give kids cancer
the law was pushed through by some 60 year old dude that probably goes home and just watches golf all day. doesn't even understand the stuff he's passing laws for.
and hes so bored watching golf he had to make a law like that
Golf players destroying hundreds of acres of land just to play the most boring sport in existence
I think it'll work fine though, most of the issues seem to be with games running older versions of things like easy anti cheat and nvidia drivers being goofy.
literally
id rather watch softball
and softball boring as hell
Only for Intel
Really? I didn't give vrms a second thought when I bought my board
Only prime boards are so cheaply made they actually thermal throttle on AM5
You didn’t buy a 14900k then
true
yeah original question was about the 14900k, alt the 14700k. i have 0 interest in overclocking them though
I’d argue you need a decent for anything 12/13/14700k and above. Below it won’t matter so much
Overclocking those you need good ones tbh
where are the lines between dreadful, decent and great?
tbf prime boards aren't aimed at gaming use, according to asus, they're an 'all-rounder' line
I have a 265kf, does it still matter
All rounder. That’s a good one
Probably not. I don’t know much about arrow lake but isn’t it like 40% less power than previous gens?
Professionals
"All rounder"
so shit we couldn't find a single thing it excels at
Entry level more like
Yup
not even entry level, considering the tuf line is classed as entry level to them
among these boards, which are slop and which aren't? is it just high price => better
I’d say only the TUF isnt slop
either of these 3, however h670 = z690 minus cpu OC
they wont explode unless you go disable vrm throttling which is a user issue
Tuf line is decent tbfh
the h670 is actually better than the tuf b760
is there a case for buying anything more expensive than the cheapest one in that trio
I'd argue that is the actual all rounder board that asus sells
I dont know anything about Asrock and LGA 1700
z690 >h670>b660>h610 basically
Ironically TUF has normally the better or best VRMs
Maybe not the most power stages, but solid VRMs
realistically look at the rear I/O and decide which is the better offer for you
You just reminded me of the z890 taichi aqua
eu compliant
that one is only good as long as you're doing custom loops otherwise nah, avoid
iirc all 8 of those type c ports share the bandwidth of just two
the most fun one from asrock is their livemixer line
They removed all the color :/
Fellas
how many usb's did you want?
asrock "yes"
They don't double up USBC ports on a single header yet do they?
This is unrelated. I just haven't thought about it until just now
on the type E header, no, but on a usb 3.2 header you could split it
I mean more like what's soldered to the motherboard. The USB A ports can still be within a single module soldered to the motherboard
gigabyte could only spare me 8
Is that what you're referring to?
this isn't the exact device I'm just referring to the silver thing
spdif ❤️
I just now realized I haven't seen one of those for USBC that holds two ports
dumb name, always toslink and forever so.
what's soldered to the mobo is not off any header, but the superIO chip is what it's connected to via pch
that's a lot!
and for the LGA1700 market, there's no big massive difference between 600- and 700-series boards right? as you'll have to bios update regardless for the 14th gen
Yeah I had a feeling that wasn't right but I didn't know what else to call it
What are those even used for? I have one on my board and all it does is glow red
Its audio
Fancy audio!
It's good for the ears I hear
I use it on my ps3, it can carry 5.1 signals.
Prime is above tuf lel
the silver part is just the socket, but a usb 3/3.1/3.2 header is 19 pin and you can split it into 2 different socket types
hasn't been fancy audio since about 2003
Nothing fancy about 2-channel PCM
or compressed 5.1
nope, off to the side
Also, Speaking of headers it's 2026 and they still haven't standardized those plugs for power button, reset, power and HD lights.
there's a couple fun prime mobo's on intel's side that you can shove a 12900 in and it laughs
it's an old audio connector, it's aight
Some motherboards have tried with those little adapter things you can plug up before mounting at least
They have, and many boards follow it.
But I'll be a bitter uncle until it's magsafe
