• CPU: Ryzen 5 5500
• Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 (replaced and this issue has started)
• GPU: XFX Radeon
• RAM: 2x DDR4 (boots with 1 stick in A2, unstable with 2)
• PSU: New PSU (also replaced)
• Storage: M.2 NVMe (Windows installed)

Issue:
System posts and BIOS is stable with 1 stick, but won’t boot Windows or USB. Windows Boot Manager shows in BIOS. With 2 sticks it becomes unstable / no video / BIOS resets.

Trying to figure out if this is bad RAM, CPU memory controller instability, or something else.

Had it booting into windows last week by lowering the ram speeds in bios but now that’s not working

Got my cheap PCIe x16 SSD enclosure and stuck my NVME SSD in there and it's working great and it took 2 minutes and I didn't have to take out my CPU cooler, redo its paste, put it back in, and then redo all my cables to account for my board's M.2 slot disabling some of my SATA ports. I'm really not sure why I was told not to do this.

you'll want to flip the psu so it's fan facing the floor also if that's a corsair sfx, you can use their cables instead, don't use extensions

depending on the mobo, sata ports getting disabled because an m.2 is being used in a certain slot is standard

also, using a pcie x16 slot for a single nvme is a waste of the slot

if you was doing 4 nvme drives, then it would be different

Yeah that's what I was concluding from my research. I just found it frustrating that nobody would tell me that and a few people told me that I should redo all my cables and redo my heatsink. But if it's not going to make any difference, then I didn't want to go through the trouble. That CPU cooler was not an easy installation as it sits very close to the top of the case and I got cut up pretty bad putting it in.

I know! I used to set my GPUs to 20% fan speed via msi afterburner to make them quieter at idle; anything less and heat would slowly build up until the cards reached 75°C AT IDLE
