rigid fjord

the only thing to make the 9060xt better ahead in is the frame gen, and it's encoders

but raw performance, the 3080 > 9060xt

junior merlin
#

Which is why I'm hesitant to call it a true 1440p 144hz card. The core isn't quite as fast to take advantage of 16GB like the 3080 or something like a 9070xt.

For sure, always happy to help clear things up. But also, I don't recommend using any third party tools to modify your OS unless:

  1. you're absolutely certain you know exactly what the code is doing, and
  2. you're prepared to keep both pieces when (not if) the operating system breaks.
Too many people have run scripts with good intention... Only to remove <THING> integral to a feature they suddenly wish to use. For example... Last I checked, if you fully remove Xbox Gamebar and other Xbox app components, you may have a hard time reinstalling them when you later want to use Xbox Cloud Streaming. Same with trying to remove Edge / WebView2 - portions of Windows rely on these items to function properly.

I run stock. For most people, I recommend stock, but actually read the things your software asks you during installation / setup. I've never once had OneDrive "suddenly" decide it was time to start syncing my files "without my consent." I'm not saying it doesn't happen to people, but I've always had some kind of UI/UX prompt I need to acknowledge before software "just does things" on my computer. Read things, understand what you're agreeing to, and explore the Settings of apps running on your devices.

feral arrow
# dense mango Well there goes any chance of me starting a career in game development.

basically ai companies need NAND as a cache tool for all the memory for the ai models and have bought the ram supply. micron (crucial) who was 1 of 3 major manufactures focus on ai/datacenter stuff now and dropped from the consumer market. therefore making ram as good as gold. pretty sure the 2028 stock of ram has been sold out and it hasn't even been produced yet. an update on my water/steam leak problem in my apartment! the $5,000 PC tower + thousands upon thousands of dollars of other high end custom electronics spooked the insurance appraisers and my adjuster asked me to furnish diagnostic reports from certified technicians on all damaged electronics certifying that the damage was from water.

I balked, as a 100% total disabled vet with mobility challenges that is essentially housebound and without a car, on the idea of transporting thousands of dollars and hundreds and hundreds of pounds of electronics to a repair store, to front the hundreds/thousands of dollars in diagnostics costs without even confirmation that coverage is accepted by insurance yet, especially when my insurance agent said the cost of diagnostics would come out of my personal property limits (which I'm already maxing out, meaning it would decrease the value i have to replace damaged goods) and the incurred transportation costs would not be covered. Since i had previously gotten a copy of my entire policy coverage documents, i asked him to tell me the page and line that stated the duty to incur those costs was on me.

my insurance agent balked at having to prove i had to take that effort, and now they're paying out of their pocket for a mobile electronics tech to come out and assess all of my electronics for me for repairability 😄

# steel umbra you'll use your friend to illegaly increase your odds of getting covered by insu...

that wasn't what i was 'advocating' for with my comment, if you read it.

i wasn't telling people to inflate the value of their belongings, or do it for stuff that might not otherwise be damaged.

i specifically said if it was damaged.

even if the entire conversation wasn't pointless because again, t'was 1000000% a joke, if your insurance would deny your coverage under a covered loss on a damage claim after jerking you around for a month, for the exact same value and property loss as they'd approve under a theft, that's a problem with the insurance and fuck them. can't believe someone would stan for that behavior personally, but i'll give the benefit of the doubt and assume you interpreted me as advocating for inflating value of your losses (which i categorically wasn't even implying internal to my joke, for the record).

#

the entire joke was purely a "avoid the month of absolute insanity i'm going through right now for the same end point" (you just have to risk felony charges and prison time for filing false police reports)

glacial cliff
# steel umbra A lot of insurances do careful calculating, like they cover your property under ...

i do agree, especially for homeowners, where the policies get massively more complex.

the situation I am dealing with is renter's insurance, and the "covered losses" is all grouped together for fire, water from pipe rupture, theft, smoke, etc, as a singular "covered loss" entity, and coverage is all grouped together for all covered losses.

when i owned a home i do know it was MUCH more complex*

glacial cliff
steel umbra
#

I do agree that if you have right to the insurance but they refuse to pay out fuck them, but i'd be worried about the consiquences if they catch you lying which then may set a flag for all other insurances possibly and then you'll hardly ever get a reasonable insurance
