It's pretty good, although my GPU in this laptop is an AMD Radeon PRO 5500M which isn't a great GPU for gaming and it only has 4gb of VRAM. Watching movies on it tho is awesome because it has excellent color accuracy and it's at about 500 nits of brightness with HDR support

A default driver will take over in the between time, yes. Ideally I like to disconnect from the internet once DDU is running or right before (doesn't really matter) to ensure that until i'm back up on the driver I downloaded beforehand, Windows doesn't try to download an outdated version and shoehorn it in.

So when doing DDU, I have DDU and the latest full driver packaged downloaded and ready to go.

I understand. However as with most issues, there isn't always (well there almost never is) a single easily identifiable solution to every unique problem someone has. You have to troubleshoot which requires above all else simply trying things and seeing what changes.

Its effort, but this is just how it is when you have a problem.

A basic thing will be seeing if this is a game specific issue or if you're having issues across all games.

Keep in mind, you may need to turn Gsync back on in the app. Also if you're render framerate goes over your displays refresh rate, thats when VRR (GSync) stops working

Usually correctly, but when my pc starts hibernating, it doesn't properly turn wake up.
So I either have to hold the power button or just unplug.

If you update applications and no system components (mostly kernel) you can just keep the mf running. Restart services themselves to apply updates
