The way the new Nvidia driver update broke stuff for me is so interesting. When I start up my pc there is a ~50/50 chance that everything on my main monitor will lag like crazy but everything on my side monitor will be fine. i personally have a 5070ti, which performs close to a 9070xt and 9070, i only chose a 5070ti for more vram, nvidia features and better support in applications i use, if you are only going for gaming and find benchmarks showig better performance in games you play go for either one thats better or cheaper

personally i think by where we are headin, if vram is limited and 8gb is a new norm again, we could see alot of games "optimized"(using it loosely) for that once more, if so then 12gb shoudl be fine for 1080p or 1440p at decent settings for a few or so more years
