I bought a new pc and I’ve decided it’s prolly best to migrate my data rather than like for like copy the old ssd to the new ssd - to avoid weird issues I’d rather just avoid

I’m thinking maybe to backup all files, not just user made, under C:\Users\{eachuser} and restoring those on the new system

All of my games and important files are on the D:\ drive which i plan to just swap into the new pc

Hey guys, I think my monitor is bricked. Basically i have a new pc that works (already played games for a couple days and all the lights light up). Yesterday i needed to do something on my old pc so i pluged the hdmi cable into the dp adapter (the old pc doesent have a gpu and mobo is only dp) and did the thing i needed to do. After that i turned off the pc repluged all my peripherals back and it worked. Then i went to fry some food (the kitchen is right next to my room so maybe the oil did something?) And then when i tried to move my mouse the monitor didnt do anything. So i troubleshooted. Turned off the pc and psu, drained the system, drained the monitor, repluged everything. And still nothing. So i went and bought a new cable. Did everything again and still nothing. Previously the old pc (which boots quite slow) showed the windows loading screen and then went black. Sometimes the monitor psysically shows a black screen (as in it recieves a black screen signal) i know that because it interupts the "scaning for signal" screen. Please help.

the only real problematic intel was 13 and 14th gen and specifically K cpu, 13/14 non K and 12th gen exists and u can still find ddr4 lga1700 and use the cpu there fine
also the main draw for am4 (x3d) is basically not viable already so u have to look at normal ryzen 5000, which is mostly on par with low end intel 12th gen
