2nd - I'm trying to keep the budget $500 around before tax. For new cards that leads me down 2 paths. AMD 9060 XT 16GB or 5060 8GB. 8GB should play just about everything, but I would imagine most games, especially ones coming out are going to use much more ram. On the flip side GDDR6 is much slower than the GDDR7 on the 5080.

Theres also Intel Arc which has a good value, but I'm concerned about random compatibility issues, and they aren't as tech savvy
