@sinful cobaltsetsuna is almost right there, the 5500 = 5600g with it's igpu disabled, but performs the same as an r5 3600 though with half the cache and pcie gen 3 only, also with that, the 5600/5600x has a 20-25% performance boost over a 3600

guys i have a question i have a gtx 1070 right now i just upgraded from a gtx 970 but my cpu (i5 8400) is bottlenecking my gpu in games like battlefield 6 and warzone and i wanted to know if upgrading to a r5 9600x with 32gb of ddr5 would be reasonable to 1. get rid of the bottleneck and 2nd be futureproof cus i thought like if i have an overkill cpu and ram then its not really a bottleneck like i have currently cus my gpu isnt getting limited and my gpu can do its max in games ofc i would upgrade when ram gets cheaper cus i aint paying 500 bucks for a ddr5 32gb kit so what do you guys think would this be a reasonable upgrade or should i just save up and immideately upgrade not only cpu but also my gpu

Even a high end gaming PC should be dead silent at idle and barely above silent under gaming loads if properly configured. Stock fan curves suck, never use them.
