barely any effort tbh, you could hide most of the braided section under the mobo itself

are the 2025 RME's good? i heard mixed about 2024 and before

I don't need DDR5 right now as I have an am4 system rocking 32gb of 3200mhz and a ryzen 7 5800x3d BUT I do need to replace my 3070 Ti for something newer tho as that 8GB is NOT enough for 1440p gaming let alone VR mods

My CPU should be plenty for another 5 years I would think

# twilit horizon What’s the ideal set up for my case?

for every case more intake than outtake, because air finds a way out, but if you have more in than out, then you control where air enters, ideally though filtered places. meanwhile if you have more out than in, then air enters anywhere it can, and if not filtered, that includes dust

Just inserted windows 11 usb into my pc. My computer just liked skipped bios screen and went straight to windows setup i just did it. Should i be worried?

ionic peak

buoyant bridge

its normal, are you able to enter the bios with the bios key

#

I know on MSI boards sometimes they come setup with a special fast boot that requires you to hold the power button till the MSI logo shows or connect a PS/2 keyboard since it won't initalize USB on boot

ionic peak

5K for 27"
6K for 32" those are actual crystal clear panels

buoyant bridge

there is a noticable difference between 4K and 5K 27 in literally anything but video and gaming

also 4K 24" panels are rarer than 5K 27" lol

winter lance
buoyant bridge
#

Some really old win32 apps (like 20+ year old ones) will appear fuzzy though

buoyant bridge
#

It's got a full ass arm SOC as it's display controller since it needs to combine 2 display signals

#

that's why LG didn't sell the LM270QQ as a discrete display till a few years after they begun producing it for the iMac 27" btw because they couldn't find a display controller that could reasonably be used for it

#

AND that's why the UF5K is Thunderbolt only despite being targeted at windows PCs since the only one they could find is actually using thunderbolt links and not display port links (its one of the very very very few monitors that do this)

#

granted this was in 2017, Planar and Asus proved you can do it over display port just fine nowadays

the SSO Configuration Application in windows (added in Dec 2024) is a MMC Snap In

anything microsoft adds management wise is accessible via MMC and a Powershell commandlette

Win32 and WinAPI (basically the same thing Win32 is the more common name, WinAPI is the modern one) don't support scaling so they can only properly scale by factors of 100

hello guys i need a bit of help on setting up a camera system with a raspberry pi

tulip sparrow

@sinful garden unless you unplug the cable for it yeah

For the "Front panel" connection there is power reset and activity light so 3 cables normally unless the case is using a single block for them

shell bay

so i have my raspberry pi 5 connected to a arducam owlsight 64mp streamed the feed locally to my old laptop with rtx 3050 so i can run ai inference. my question is if i wanted to wire up another camera from the other side of my house how would i do it ?

Milwaukee, Craftsman, Snap-On by the looks of things make good ones

vale lotus
#

Yeah

#

Do they make tools for small devices like laptops and things

buoyant bridge
#

craftman is like the cheapest brand you can get thats a name brand and makes good tools

#

I bought this at lowes for $65 when it first came out and can say its pretty good

#
#

if you're gonna buy a cordless tool just shell the extra money for a milwaukee though they're worth it 99% of the time and to you as a consumer you will never manage to break them within a reasonable service life

I have milwaukee shit thats over 20 years old and still going strong after being beat to death on job sites

should i go with a air or liquid cooler for a ryzen 7 7800x3d

buoyant bridge
#

thats why Milwaukee and Dewalt have esentially held all professional power tools for over a decade now

#

Rigid and Craftsman are starting to come up (the rebrands of Milwaukee and Dewalt) but they're hard for any market dominance

#

also why snap-on is esentially undefeated for automotive with carrer mechanics

vale lotus
#

I watch reviews to get performance checks on things

#

and how they hold up with tasks

#

and comparisons to really choose what is worth buying

buoyant bridge
#

you buy a big brand tool, it has the preformance, if it doesn't which is rare you return it

vale lotus
#

Watching them kinda helps with not having to do that

yknow how many tools I've bought at lowes that didn't do the job they're made to do

the one I linked is for computer work n stuff

get one of these then

if size isn't a concern just get a compat drill

get one of these and throw a screwdriver bit adapter on it?

#

The one you linked is good

buoyant bridge
# vale lotus No clue what those are I don't know much about tools with names of parts

cordless screwdriver is the most compact of the pistol grip driving/drilling tools and uses hex bits
impact driver is inbetween and has an anvil and no clutch, produces a shitload of torque (like enough to take off lug nuts on sedans n stuff)
drill is the largest, uses a 3 jaw chuck and can accept more things than the others do also some can drill into concrete

buoyant bridge
#

3.28nm (I had to email craftsman to get that answer fyi)
