I don't really talk here often, but I'm a big graphics/display nerd. Many years ago I was inspired by the "Guide to Display Cables / Adapters (v2)" post on the LTT forum to make my own calculators for a whole bunch of display-related stuff.

Along with bandwidth requirements, it also calculates PPI, DLSS scaling, and even frame gen latency.

I'm wondering if anyone else here is as nerdy as I am about this stuff cause I'd love to talk about it. Here's a screenshot from the frame gen latency page. User fills in the white/unshaded cells, and the shaded cells auto-calculate.

Recently I broke my spacebar holding mechanism on super expensive rog laptop (2025 year of relese, that means there are no used donor components on market)
support said "they can't sell me mechanisms for a single laptop key and I have to pay for full keyboard replacement"

after hours of desperate searching I found some guy who selling laptop keys, I asked if he has by any chance mechanisms for spacebar of this laptop and he said yes, he have both used and brand new
