If there's not enough clearance between the motherboard and the top, then yes, you can mount the AIO to the "back" aka to the right of the motherboard.

Hey chat. I came to the discord because I hoped that the community here could help me out. I have a MSI Vector 16 HK AVIG it has an intel i9-14900HK processor. When I have been doing heavy gaming or something heavy cad (I’m an engineering student) I will get a thermal shutdown. Like the kind where it just kills the power. I know that intel has had some thermal problems, and I didn’t know about it when I originally bought the computer. When I go into the bios and turn off the Intel boost where it drops the computers cores down to their base clock speeds of 2.4 GHz it fixes my thermal problems but does lower my performance. What I found worked was I was able to limit my PL one NPL2 to 65 and 85 watts respectively. The cpu is still having its max clock speeds at the 5.4GHz but it seems to be keeping the temps down now. I am planning on bringing it to beatbuy to get it the thermal paste replaced but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. For context from MSI the bios had the power limit limits at 220 W for both PL1 and PL2. This is being called by vapor chambers, not water cooling because it’s a laptop.

Yeah, intake on side and bottom and exhaust in the rear sounds good, but then just have intake or exhaust on the AIO too. I would go with exhaust given that it is at the top, and then I would run the fans on the rear much slower to maintain good positive pressure

Yes, but cheaper psu's have cheaper capacitors, etc. You don't need to get like a the super-lux 400 psu, but just get one with good reviews and a known brand.
