Anyone know why my gun would be juttering like this when playing Halo Infinite? For some reason the game has been massively spiking my temps out of nowhere (peaking at 96°C junction temps and 88°C hotspot) despite previously maxing out at 76°C junction and 50°C hotspot. All I did was enable ray tracing shadows, which jumped the temps, but it's keeping these temps even after turning it back off and putting everything from ultra all the way to low! I don't understand this at all.

however, i havent seen if the opposite is possible. as the bracket might not have the screw holes for that open if i do it this way. i wont know this until afterwards thoigh, but we`ll see i guess

second, i got two thermal pastes. one thermalright that came with, and another grizzly that i bought. the pastes were both pretty dry, i could literally peel it off and ended up with this after taking it off again.
is this just typical winter, and warming it up could help? or have i gotten bad paste here?

Tbh it's the game. To summarize, all I did was: turn on raytracing (was peaking at 72°C junction and 50°C hotspot before this), then it jumped to the insane 96 junction and 88 hotspot, then I turned off ray tracing, restarted the game, temps persisted, turned the graphics to medium, restarted comp, started game, temps persisted, changed to low, temps persisted, just reset everything manually including changing the frame rate stuff again, and now at ultra it's 68°C junction and 48°C hotspot again. If you mainly play games like cyberpunk or what have you at 4k high settings, then you will see a small improvement from the 3d v-cache, but it won’t be huge. If you play competitive games, the difference will be much larger
