Yeah I lived my G14 (2022) but someone stole it. It was nice because it could game and when you turned off the dGPU got amazing battery life! Especially if you set the manual slider to minimize power. Easy 8 hrs!

Anywho Asus has lost their mind on pricing now. I would go z13 128GB is the only way I would go back to the company that shipped by broken laptop back 3 times in a row, tried to extort money over the bottom being a mandatory replacement, agreed to cover it since THEIR TECH snapped it .... Then sent it back with the old cover ... 🤦 Took 6 MONTHS to get a functional unit back ...

For instance the lenovo i9 had VERY aggressive bios for performance... Intel had that gate issue . Many chips heavily degraded from running over recommended power at 108C continuously...

The replacement boards are all "refirb" WITHOUT new silicon. Their recent main board the CPU is MINT probably golden sample based on how much less voltage it needs per clock....

The 4090 has dying vRAM so it has to go back 😭😭

There something with Dolby vision. It ONLY works in edge on Netflix. It doesn't work natively on local files. The movies app tries, but all it does it max the brightness.

SteamOS does translate dx12 to vulkan, but that isn't stuttery at all because shaders are pre-compiled anyway. The G14 will have no battery and it'll run stinking hot, but it's fast. The Z13 will have ample battery and decent performance, but it'll still be hot. The MBP will have amazing battery but no games. That's just how it is, there is no laptop with all three
