1: crazy instability over the last week. Like blacking out the screens, constant freezing, crashing. This would happen literally just using firefox, discord, or Spotify
2: I tried to boot it up today and got nothing. I tried power cycling and unplugging and replugging in the monitors. It managed to output to one but it has all the monitor properties “unknown”, and is outputting 3456x1440 instead of 3440x1440. I tried reseating my gpu and the riser cable and still have the same issue. I intend to test my integrated graphics later because I have a thing to do.

Can someone help me troubleshoot a dying(?) 7900xtx. Ive tried reseating it, restarts, changing montiors and still the same issue. It does output, but only to a single monitor, and it says "unknown" for all the monitor properties. It also is displaying 3452x1440p instead of 3440x1440p for some reason. Ive been making sure my drivers and windows is up to date. I have also had incredibly bad stability over the last week including frequent freezed, the screens just going black, and crashes. This is usually triggered by just browsing discord, firefox, or even spotify. I dont know what to try at this point.

so ive got a lenovo M920Q one of these mini pc's and im wanting to turn it into a NAS... i know its possible but i just want some assurance on if this will work... its got 1x normal HDD connector and that will be the boot drive for truenas scale.... and on the back its got a m.2 so will this work... a m.2 NVME thingy to Mini sas SSF (first image) then the cable that comes out of that is to 4x sata ports (the drives will be powered separately) or should i get one of these m.2 to sata adapter cards... (2nd image) and the drives will still be powered seperatly. i only need 4 drives so im thinking about getting the 1st image one the SAS one.... but i just wanna know will it work

if you need lots of space, yes its generally more cost effective to use HDDs, because you can just get cold spares and use more redundancy to get around the lower reliability
if you need something to hold an OS and not fail, you'd use an SSD

a) vram allocations can be paged to system RAM (much like system RAM can be paged to disk, and yes if needed vram can be paged to disk too)
b) vram is generally allocated in large blocks, that are then suballocated by the applications, so it may say "7GB (of 8GB) used", but actually the app (game) just made 7GB of allocations, and is really only using 2GB
