Screen dimming is not normal, you are correct. Have you verified you don't just have a flaky cable on one end? Have you run DDU? Have you factory reset the display? Does it happen on other inputs on the display? What about other outputs on the GPU? Happen in Safe Mode? Happen if you reinstall Windows?

If you update a modern BIOS and you're using older MBR gear, CSM will default to off (which it should) and you don't be able to boot

is running only 2 ram modules in dual channel faster than filling all 4 slots with the same ram?
I personally filled out all 4 of my slots cuz it looks a little cleaner in my build and I definitely dont mind 32 gigs of ram (4x8gb) even if its a bit much cuz my workflow is a little...neurodivergent I guess.
