Ah, so you had a drive (HDD?) with data on it that suddenly stopped working? If so, you would restore that data from the last known good backup of said drive onto another working drive. If you don't have a backup and the data is worth $3000 to you, contact a data recovery professional.

If the data is worth less than $3000 to you and you don't mind risking making the data even less recoverable, you could try using something like TestDisk to recover the data. NOTE: the drive needs to at least be "visible" to the OS. If it won't even "detect" then you're beyond consumer level recovery attempts.

The CX7 is 100x100, which is great but when you add more than two in a cluster you drop the connection to 100x100x100 and even lower when you add two more. Effectively 25G across all of them because they have to go up and down the cluster. You would want a 100G switch on top of them. Really, I would at most say two.

Microsoft E3 licence costs a foot and a leg for enterprise.
We still have some file servers which is a pain with F3 (web version), so looking into replacements.

The programs im curious about, are OpenOffice, LibreOffice, OnlyOffice and Softmaker Office (FreeOffice).

I want to hear opinions on safety, compability and how it works with Intune deployment, and compability with native MS files.

OpenOffice have the worst compability with MS files, low frequency updates, and terrible UI. LibreOffice, i have heard something about Java JRE which can be a security issue(?), but OnlyOffice and Softmaker Office can save documents as .docx(?) Good UI (similar to Office 365?)

Some raise questions to OnlyOffice being native from Russia (True?), but its open source?
Softmaker is german but not open source?

Going from F3 to E3 would cost many millions and its unnecessary when the only reason is the file servers being annoying to save too. Sharepoint/OneDrive is ofcourse under development but users are slow
