Mines an old server I rescued from work. Its a 1u Datto server. 8 core broadwell xeon that loves to be as slow as possible. I also run my ubiquiti software on there.

my home server/nas had windows on it, it was great because i was used to it. then after a few days i decided to get ubuntu. its really good, considering its my first time using a mainstream distro. the only struggles i have are mounting issues/file paths and admin requirements for basically anything

Originally my plan was to use something like proxmox or truenas scale on it and then use it as the head of my network. Then have a seperate VM for Jellyfin. Then I gave up on that due to time and just slapped windows 11 on it.

Looks like it supports VOIP though, so technically one could configure a VOIP number on NextCloud, then use that to make phone calls to regular phones, which I presume could then be recorded since they're routing through NextCloud.
