Undo the overclock, or perform a UEFI / BIOS reset as per your motherboard manual. If your system is AMD, it's "normal" (as normal as the 1990's) for the motherboard to perform "memory training" during first boot.

Fair. If you just want to build a NAS "for funsies" / to mess around / learn, go ham buying a crapload of questionably functional drives from eBay, then Frankenstein a RAID setup. Up to you. IMO, this isn't worth the headache.

No idea. ~10 mins? I don't have any modern AMD systems. The whole memory training and RAM compatibility issues that were more prominent a few years ago were part of my decision factor to go with 12th Gen Intel.

Hard to say without having built a modern AMD system... If it means avoiding memory compatibility / training issues, then no, I don't regret it at all. There was a time when I enjoyed tinkering, overclocking, and min-maxing my computers. These days, I just want to come home from work and use my devices, not fight them.

@cloud pewter my brother in christ, give your hard drives some redundancy and slap a 1tb ssd as a write cache if you want speed. What you want to do could potentially really screw you over when one disk dies
