Those should be good. Generally, I recommend purchasing a cheap flashdrive that have at least 8 GB in space. You just use balena etcher software which is free for imaging Linux ISO onto flashdrive which you can then boot off of. The listed Distros I mentioned above all have GUI installers to guide you through the installation process.

I do want to emphasize heavily that you make sure to back up all of your personal data before you commit. You should ideally have at least 2 copies of your data at minimum.

Friend's dad agreed to get him a PC, budget was 1.5-2K.. Only reason peripherals aren't included is bc I told him to pick stuff he thinks looks nice so I can find similar stuff that're better (this is assuming he unknowingly gets the equivalent of E-Waste)

What do you think? Build is for gaming primarily, but he's also using it to study (which doesn't really mean Blender or anything like that.. Yet)
