My laptop goes nuts when an external monitor is connected, like it overheats like crazy, 90+ degrees celsius, but when I game without the external monitor plugged in my temps dont even reach 75 degrees, they are around 65-70 degrees celsius. It's a LOQ 15 APH8 if it's of any help.

depends on the application i believe, in general ram is fast 3200 or 6000, so its unlikely to bottleneck performance, especially at higher resolutions, i think for cpu intensive games itll be more noticable, but that 5% isnt a constant, its more of a range from not noticable to somewhat, like 0-%10 iirc, dont quote me on any of this tho
