i give you my tldr as someone whos more work focused and also plays games. all laptops outside of macbooks are trash bcs of the simple reality that brings battery life, plus macbooks have VERY good monitors. considering all that, 1k for a macbook is beyond cheap

pretty easy really for an oled. once you get in game you just set peak brightness to 450 nit, and set black point to 0 or -10. I'd recommend like, horizon forbidden west or ghost of tsushima for a good first time hdr gaming
